This lesson introduces the seven parts of speech in English grammar: nouns (naming words for people, places, ideas, things, or animals), verbs (action words like found, draw, eat, sleep), pronouns (words that replace nouns like I, we, he, she, it, they), adjectives (words that describe nouns by answering 'what kind?' or 'which one?' such as short, tall, long, beautiful, pretty, new, old), and adverbs (words that modify verbs by describing how an action is performed, like carefully or beautifully). Students practice identifying and using these parts of speech through workbook exercises, including describing nouns with adjectives and replacing nouns with pronouns in sentences.
