We are LUCKY to Have Leonard Peikoff after Ayn Rand

[00:00:00]How lucky are we to have Leonard Peikoff after Ayn Rand? I mean hugely. I mean I I I I don't know what happens to Ayn Rand without Leonard Peikoff in the sense that her books would still be around, the philosophy would still be there, her novels would certainly sell.

[00:00:15]But would there be a philosophical movement?

[00:00:18]Would there be people studying her ideas this soon after she died? I mean maybe over time I think yes, but And not at that level because of all the >> that level because Leonard got it directly from her. He had it integrated, he understood it, he he could he could write an OPAR. How many how many people could write an OPAR? And and again, maybe at some point somebody will be able to, but it's a huge shortcut and uh I I think the the fact that there's a an Objectivist movement, the fact that we have confidence in these ideas continuing into the future as a philosophy, not just as novels, as a as a philosophy, as an integrated philosophy, as a philosophy that can be applied to our lives and to to the political world and to the reality around us, um that is all due I think to Leonard and and what he did in his courses and and in OPAR and his uh and his teaching and his, you know, and the fact that he taught people like me and and Onkar and others.
