Giving the economic benefit to the people of Utah #shortsAdded:
You know, what I've noticed the trend is, no matter where anybody announces a data center project or power generation project, there's a lot of concern in the local community, and there should be. There should be. And that's why, you know, we're the partners for us is Box Elder County. There's 66,000 people I care about there. They're my partner. We have to give the economic benefit to them.
The thousands of jobs, around 10,000 jobs in the first gigawatt in construction, and then 2,000 jobs to maintain it. High-paying engineering and support jobs. They really matter. And there water concerns. There's lots of rumors that we're going to suck the Great Lakes like the Great Salt Lake dry. That's ridiculous. Of course that's not going to happen. In fact, if anything, we'll be adding to the Great Salt Lake because the water rights on that land will be used. And then, if if any, because you know, we haven't fully designed the property yet, one of the hyperscalers said to us, "Let's use air-cooled, so there's no water involved." There's lots of different optionality in here. But the rhetoric around that site, um, is just a lot of misinformation.
