Sauce Walka Breaks Down Why AP Did Collab Wit Swatch! ⌚️Added:
[music] [music] >> Sauce Walka explains why AP changed his marketing strategy to do a collab with Swatch.
Yeah, man. I've been busy all day. I was supposed to been make my mother video about this cuz my DMs been going crazy about this week since it happened. So, the conversation of the day is AP.
>> [laughter] [cough] >> AP and Swatch.
Guess what? Guess what?
Sign me up for 10 of them, man. Who got them? I got a thousand I got a thousand dollars each.
300 [laughter] and 500. I got a thousand dollars, man. Hey, give me my I don't know if I want 10 of them, mother man.
Load me up, man. Whoever go get them, I ain't trying to wait line.
Yeah, man. I ain't trying to do all that waiting and bumping. Guess what? This stupid watch. You see this [ __ ] right here? I bought this dumb I paid 200 something thousand dollars for this stupid And I don't even wear this [ __ ] no more.
And I don't give a [ __ ] about it. I got three other watches that I don't give a [ __ ] about. Hey, guess what AP just did.
AP just went and jumped down like mother G-Shock and and got their bread up like Reebok. But what a lot of people don't know because of ignorance, let me give y'all some education today. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe. Cuz some of y'all don't even know why AP is really doing this. I know why. And you can look this up. It's public knowledge.
AP just went through two different lawsuits that they tried to apply against companies. One of one overseas in Asia, one in America to try to copyright the octagon shape on the top of AP. They tried to copyright the octagon shape, but it was ruled in trademark court and international trademark court in the United States trademark court that the octagon shape is too much of a general normal shape and they did not add any specifics to the shape enough to where that they could trademark that shape and stop other brands from using that silhouette on watches. So, what AP did to stop themselves from losing a huge percentage in in business which they already was losing because of the the inflation of fake watches and all of you fake mother running around with these fake APs, Chinese APs, aftermarket APs, fake diamond APs, and and [ __ ] like that.
There's so many fake APs floating around that they already seen the the the decrease in sales and it was they knew that it was about to be a increase in a influx of more fake watches because they lost a lawsuit to stop and put a cease and desist on factories producing the octagon shape watches. So, what they did which was actually smart was go link up with a company that's known for making cheap watches that's at the highest of prestige still in sports because Swatch watches is the watches that they use in the Olympics to do the to do the time on in races and all that foot races and different [ __ ] that got to do with time in the Olympics. They use Swatch watches. So, they linked up with that company and made $300 watches that's affordable for everybody and it's gangster cuz at the end of the day is you buying a brand or you riding by the bands. You love the brand, then it shouldn't matter about whether they make a cheap item or expensive item. I love Louis Vuitton. I don't give a if they sell some [ __ ] for $30,000 or for $300. They got $300 items. They got $300,000 items. $3,000,000 items.
$30,000 items. $3 dollar items. If you love the brand and you appreciate the brand and you really into the brand and you actually buying the real brand, that type of [ __ ] shouldn't matter to you.
But a lot of y'all people y'all not buying into brands, y'all buying into the hype. You buying into the the the mystique and the clout of ooh, he said that his watch costs as much as this other watch that really do cost that, but his watch is really the fake version of that. Dog, they did was help separate you fake real [ __ ] man. Cuz now plastic watches are costing what plastic costs.
A plastic watch costs $300, your stainless steel watch costs $8,000, then you saying it costed 80.
Hey, man, they just exposing the boot.
You know what I'm saying? The [ __ ] ain't mad at [ __ ] me. Um at G-Shock, [ __ ] ain't mad at uh uh at a lot of different companies that come out with a cheaper tier [ __ ] It's not going to appreciate the brand and guess what? In the over amount of time, because they only doing it a limited release, them watches are going to end up being worth maybe 4x, 6x, maybe 10x in 10 years. Who knows? So it's still the ideal investment. It's fun.
Hey, man, line me up for 10 of them hoes.
I might be I'll be handing them [ __ ] out like candy. You know what I'm saying?
>> [laughter] >> Hey, man, AP 3500, [clears throat] man. I I told this [ __ ] man. I beat the watch up to get it this [ __ ] broke. Like I'm going to cost all type of money to get this fixed.
I got three of these shits. Don't give a [ __ ] about them.
I'm going to spend all this money on this type of [ __ ] The real money. The real real jewelry. Not the bootleg. Real gold. Real weight.
I have plenty and many of this [ __ ] man. So I'm down.
Line me up, man. Anybody wants some money? I don't want to wait in line for man, give me 10 of them hoes if they come out color eyes like that. Them hoes play off. I'm them And last thing I forgot to say about this [ __ ] you say, "What about Richard Mille?" That [ __ ] ain't nothing but the same [ __ ] Them hoes is rubber. What's the difference?
Richard Mille is rubber.
That [ __ ] rubber with some nice mechanics in it. They just showed that at the end of the day all this [ __ ] ain't buying nothing but a name and it's some good game. So, at the end of the day all the watches that we getting this is about the value of the beholder, man.
It's subjective. If you believe it's worth it, it's worth it. It's worth whatever the [ __ ] you believe it is.
It's a stupid piece of [music] jewelry.
But, it's an investment. So, just make sure you make the right one.
