USCIS Clarifies the Adjustment of Status Memo. Here's the Latest | Mubarak Law

[00:00:00]Everybody knife here with a quick update on the USCIS memo since May 21st, what we're seeing and what you need to know.

[00:00:06]So, USCIS did issue a more statement as to clarifying what their memo meant, stating that not everyone's going to have to leave, but they are simply reminding officers to use their discretionary authority to look for discretionary positive factors when adjudicating an adjustment of status case.

[00:00:25]So, what does this mean for us and our clients? We are reaching out to our clients who have pending adjustment of status cases. We want to reinforce their cases. We're going to be also adding this on new filings. So, if you are thinking about doing adjustment of status, it's still possible. Like I said, the sky is not falling, but we do have to be prepared and provide more evidence and discretionary factors to make sure that the USCIS officers give you a positive adjudication.
