As a congregation, we have to support our young adults, but then we also have to back them when they try new things.
Innovation is a tough thing because it means challenging norms and understandings. But the medium, the methods in which it's conveyed will have to change with every generation.
If we assume the same ways that we did church is going to be how this next generation needs to do church, friend, it doesn't work for every young adult that way.
We need to provide different spaces and opportunities for them to explore and to experiment at the margins.
And we need a congregation that's willing to stand beside them in that journey.
