Fatty liver disease is reversible through lifestyle modifications, specifically combining at least 150 minutes of aerobic activity weekly with a Mediterranean diet rich in nuts, fruits, vegetables, fatty fish, beans, and polyphenol foods like artichokes and blueberries; while weight loss can help, significant liver fat reduction can occur even without substantial weight loss, with improvement typically visible in 3-6 months for moderate cases and 6-12 months for severe cases, though no supplement alone can reverse the condition.

Can You Reverse Fatty Liver? How Long Does It Take? #fattyliver本站添加:
fatty liver disease reversible?
How can one reverse it? And how long does it take? These are the questions I'm going to answer in today's video.
So, let let me start by saying that fatty liver disease is absolutely reversible. But the bigger question is, can you maintain the behaviors that got you from a very high level of liver fat to a very low level? Okay? And those behaviors almost inevitably are going to be moving your body more and eating a more Mediterranean diet. When we talk about lifestyle factors that reduce liver fat levels, these are the two that move the needle the most. a minimum 150 minutes of aerobic activity a week, including brisk walking and eating a more Mediterranean diet, which includes more nuts, more fruits, more vegetables, more fatty fish, more beans, higher polyfenel foods like artichoke, blueberries, flax seed, and things of that nature. This is the best way in my opinion scientifically to reverse fatty liver disease which once again you can absolutely reverse because fat ends up in your liver because for most people for an extended period of time you haven't been super active. You probably haven't paid as much attention to your nutrition as you should and slowly but surely systems in your body aren't working the way they should be and your liver starts storing fat which it should not be storing. But it can be resolved by changing your diet and moving your body more even if you don't lose a lot of weight. Okay? Very often, yes, you'll be told lose x amount of weight to reverse fatty liver disease. It's true weight loss can help, but you can change your diet and move more and significantly reduce your liver fat even if you don't lose much weight. And that's important for me to tell you because I don't want you to use weight loss as the only marker of your success.
Okay? Now, the question then becomes, how long is it going to take? Well, the answer to that depends on first of all how severe your fatty liver is. The more severe it is, presumably the longer it will take and also how much of your best effort are you able to put in. Not everybody can go from zero to 100 after one week. Okay? So, if you're someone who is going to get professional advice, move your body more, eat a more medit uh high polyphenol Mediterranean diet, I expect that your liver scan scores could improve in as little as 3 to 6 months.
If however, your fatty liver is more severe and you need more time to grow into the changes and to adapt to the kind of lifestyle things that you need to adapt to to reverse fatty liver disease. You might need at least 6 to 12 months before you see a meaningful change on your liver scan scores. So, please do keep this in mind. Now, what's not going to be the key factor in helping you reverse fatty liver disease, it's certainly not going to be any one supplement. And yes, probiotics and omega-3s are quite well studied and they can help your health for sure, but they're not going to be enough. You need to eat a more Mediterranean diet. You need to move your body more if we're talking about lifestyle factors. Yes, it is true medications can help, but we're talking lifestyle factors today. And these are
