When a person experiences water aspiration (water in the lungs) combined with a head injury, immediate medical intervention is critical. The treatment protocol includes: (1) emergency assessment and stabilization, (2) diagnostic imaging (X-ray, CT scan, MRI) to evaluate lung fluid and head injuries, (3) oxygen therapy and potential ventilator support for respiratory distress, (4) ICU monitoring for complications like cardiac arrest, and (5) concussion management with medication and observation. Early recognition of water aspiration and head trauma symptoms (headache, dizziness, breathing difficulty) is essential for successful treatment outcomes.

😱 THE NEW RADIOLOGY WARD SAVED THIS LITTLE GIRL'S LIFE...CODE BLUE!?🔵Ajouté :
really want to go for a swim. It's so hot.
>> Let me put out my Google Maps. The pond.
My god, I totally forgot. Oh shoot, there's no chuckable rhythm. There's no chuckable rhythm. Oh my gosh. No, no, no, no. Kira, stay with me.
[music] Oh my gosh, it's so beautiful outside. I really just really want to go for a swim. It's so hot. Oh. Oh. Oh. Stay tuned in the video because I am announcing a new giveaway.
My head. That really hurt. I need to call 911 cuz Oh my gosh. I don't know. I feel so lightheaded now.
>> 911 was your emergency?
>> Uh yeah. Um so I was out by the pond and cuz you know like it's really really hot outside and I [clears throat] guess I like slipped and fell. My head really hurts and I think I like guzzled down like a lot of the water from when I like was trying to get out because it's really deep for whatever reason. Um so like I can't breathe and my head hurts and I think I'm going to faint. Oh my gosh. Um, is there anyone around you that can help you? But I'll get there.
>> No, I'm here by myself.
>> Okay, stay there. I'll be there in a second.
>> Okay, hurry. Yeah, >> cuz I think I'm going to pass out.
>> Oh my gosh. Sit on the floor. Sit sit on the ground, please.
>> Okay.
>> Okay, I'll be right there.
>> Okay, bye.
Oh my gosh. Let's go save this person.
You know what? Let me put out my Google Maps. Um the pond.
Oh, there we go. It's this direction.
Go. Let's go.
>> Starting route.
>> Oh, it's right in front of me. Oopsie. I was going the other way.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh shoot.
Let's go. I'm not even going to check her in here. Oh my god.
Oh my gosh. This poor person. Can you hear me? Let me check her heart.
There's a heartbeat. So, she's she's still here with us, but her lungs doesn't sound good at all. Okay. No, I'm taking her to the hospital as soon as possible. Thankfully. Oh my gosh. The hospital was just next to me. Why didn't she just walk? Okay. She was not conscious. My bad. Let's take her temperature cuz Yeah. I mean, she's unconscious, but I need to check if she has a fever. Oh, shoot. She does. Okay, she still has a heartbeat, so that's good. Let me check her lung sounds.
Oh my gosh, there's a lot of water in them. I need to do something to wake her up because she's not waking up. But that's weird. Let me check her ears.
Oh, she also has a lot of water in them.
No. Okay, you know what? Let me check her lungs again. Let's do a quick X-ray to see if we can find something in there. But I do need to wake her up. How do we wake her up? Um, you know, you know what would be a good idea? We need to wake her up. And if this doesn't work, cold water in her face. I don't know what could wake up.
>> Oh. Anyway. [clears throat] Hi, this is Sasha. I'm your nurse. I found you kind of dead in the pond. Are you okay?
>> What do you mean kind of dead?
>> You were unconscious.
>> Oh, >> yeah. Um, how do you feel? like poop.
[snorts] >> Oh. Um, can you breathe? I I do hear a lot of water in your lungs. So, I'm going to be doing a quick X-ray to see if there's something wrong in it or something.
Okay, that's your face. Ma'am, can you like back up a little bit so I can check your lungs? Thank you. Oh, I do see a lot of water in it. Okay. But I still don't know.
>> I mean, I told you I gzled.
>> Oh. Oh, she scared me. She scared me.
She's scared.
>> Trina. Yeah. Why wouldn't you knock on the door?
>> Karina, I've told you 30 times. Don't do that. This is the third time you do this. Next time you're fired.
>> Who hired her exactly?
>> I don't know. Probably my boss. She said you had pneumonia. No, she doesn't have pneumonia. What do you mean, Katherina?
Oh, you good? Are you lost? Oh, okay.
Good. Uh, I I do want to check um your head. You said you hurt your you hurt your head, right?
>> Yeah. Can you can you listen properly?
Can you um Can you see properly and all that?
>> I mean, it's a little fuzzy and I can hear decently well, I think.
>> Can you tell me your name and age, please?
>> Yeah. Um, it's Kira and I'm 22.
>> So, you just you were just swimming and you hit your head.
>> I wasn't even swimming yet. I fell and hit my head before I could even swim.
>> Oh my god. Did you do you hit your head with the rock? probably. There was a lot of them. Whoever put those there are so dumb.
>> Yeah, I agree. Well, you did tell me you can't breathe. So, I'm going to be putting some oxygen so to help you breathe while we know what's wrong.
>> Actually, I'm a bit hungry.
>> Okay, I get you some crackers. But actually, before you eat, um I do want to check again your your lungs with an X-ray. Okay, Kira. So, I do want to do an X-ray of your lungs. So, could you actually like um stand in here, please?
Um and then look this way, please.
>> Wait, what? Like this way?
>> Yeah, but stay like really close to it.
Since you were underwater and you're having trouble breathing, we're going to get a chest X-ray to check your lungs for any fluid or signs of aspiration since the mobile um X-ray machine didn't really tell me anything. So, I just want to make sure with this big um X-ray machine just just to make sure you don't have any liquid inside.
>> Oh, this is a bit intimidating. I I can't breathe.
>> Oh. Oh, true. Uh let me just go get you an oxygen machine. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> Oh my god. I totally forgot. Oh, are you good, ma'am?
Here. Here it is. Here you can breathe.
Oh my gosh, ma'am. Oh my god. Uh, you good?
>> I'm so sorry. Okay, just just stay there. Okay, I'm just going to do an X-ray real quick and then we can go back to the bed. Okay, it's starting.
>> The machine is going to get close to you just a little bit, but don't freak out.
It's not going to do anything to you.
Oh, shoot. I do see kind of a little bit of fluids in there, but it's nothing to worry about, I would say. Okay, there we go. Let it just end and we're done.
There we go. Okay, ma'am. I'm sorry.
Let's go back to the bed. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> Oh my god.
Oh, are you good?
>> Um, the fluid in my lungs is like really bothering me.
>> You can't breathe properly even with the oxygen?
>> No. No.
>> Oh my god. Okay, let me see what I can do. My gosh. She might actually end end up transferred to the ICU so I can put her the um ventilator. What I could do is bring her to the ICU and give her the ventilator and that way it's going to it's going to be okay. Yeah, actually let me just put here that I'm transferring to the ICU cuz no, she doesn't look good at all. There we go.
Okay, Kira. So, I'm going to have to transfer you to the ICU so that I can put on the ventilator and you can like um breathe easier and the water gets out of your lungs because you hit your head on the on the rock. We're also ordering a CT scan just to rule out any head injuries, okay, before we go to the ICU.
Okay. So, a CT scan just to make sure your head is fine and we can't we don't worry about it. Oh, but for this one, I do I do need you to give me Thank you because you can't have any metallic things here. It's just going to take a few minutes. Okay, don't worry. If you can't breathe, let me know. Okay, it's going to feel weird inside, but don't worry. Just real quick. It's just going to be really loud.
>> Oh god, it's really bright in here.
>> Yeah, you can close your eyes if you want.
>> I don't know. I feel really dizzy.
>> Oh my god, >> my head just like it's actually really aggravating it. Oh my god. Don't worry about it. We're We're done. We're done.
Um, let me check your results. Oh my gosh. Okay, I do see here something. Yeah, you know what? I think it's worth it. I've just transferred her to the ICU.
>> I don't feel well.
>> Yeah, I know you don't, but you will.
I'll give you some medication and you're going to feel so much better. Okay.
Okay, ma'am. So, I'm going to put some um saline and I'm going to um put some medication through it so you feel better.
There we go. Um so, since you told me you can't breathe properly, I'm going to attach this ventilator. You're going to be able to breathe really good and this should work. If it doesn't work, then I'll just don't know what to do.
>> Oh, >> yeah.
>> But shouldn't you know what to do? Why aren't you a nurse?
>> This is more like a doctor thing. But I And we we don't have staff at the moment. So, let me just attach this to you. This is going to feel really weird.
But you're going to be able to breathe better.
>> There we go. Does it Can you breathe better?
>> Yeah.
>> Perfect. Now, I'm going to put this um machine just to check your heart as well. And lastly, I'm going to hook up this EEG to check your head since you told me that you still feel dizzy. Let's wait for her to breathe better. I'm just going to honestly watch some tutorials because I truly don't know what to do in this situations. Does never happen to me. I'm just a nurse.
>> 3 hours later.
>> It's time now to check her lungs. The water should be already out. Okay, ma'am. I'm going to be checking your lungs one one more time. The water should be out. So, let's see.
Oh, yeah. Perfect. You don't have more water in it. Can you breathe now?
>> Yeah, for the most part. But >> okay, let me [cough] I will remove the ventilator just to see if you still can breathe. If you can't, I will put it back. Okay, so we can check. Let me check your stats. Yeah, you can breathe good. Um, how are you feeling off your head?
>> I don't know. I was still really dizzy, you know?
>> I think I hit my head pretty hard.
>> Okay, you know what? I think we should do an MRI. We just did a CT scan, but that didn't really tell me much. So, I'm going to do an MRI just to check. What is it that you might have? Can you breathe or do you still need the mask?
>> Oh, I can breathe.
>> Oh, that's a really good sign. Let's see. You might probably just have a concussion, but I just want to make sure there's nothing more. What? Sorry, I can really hear you.
>> A concussion from what? Oh, cuz you hit your head on the rocks.
>> What' you say?
>> Nothing. Don't worry about it. Let me change the colors. Do you like purple?
Oh, that's better.
>> Yeah.
>> Look how pretty. Okay.
>> It kind of looks like a sunset.
>> Yeah, it does. A little. Oh. Oh my gosh.
Yeah, she's stripping, guys. She's not good. Okay. From what I'm seeing here, she does have a concussion. Okay, Kira.
So, you do have a concussion. So, I'm going to keep monitoring your head and your brain waves in the ICU, and I'm going to give you some medication for it, and I'm just going to keep you in the ICU for just a few more hours just to like observe you, and if you get better in a few hours, you will be able to go home.
>> Perfect. Cuz I have to get back to my cats. You know, they're really annoying.
So, >> yeah, >> mad and I miss eating time.
>> Yeah, don't worry. I you will be home today. So don't worry. I hope.
>> What do you mean I hope?
>> Nothing. Don't worry about it. Okay, just get in bed. I'm going to continue monitoring your brain. So, let me put the EG.
Here we go. Let's just get her some medication. I think uh >> which I paid should be good. I think I hope I don't know which medication to give her, but I think this should work. Okay, ma'am. Here, just drink this. Okay.
Okay. Well, I'm just going to let her rest. I'm going to continue doing some more work, and we'll see how she goes.
>> A few moments later.
>> Oh my gosh. What? What is that? What's happening, Kira?
Oh my god, her stats.
I think we're having a co blue if I'm correct. Yes, we are having a coat blue.
Oh my gosh.
>> Kira, um, why did I put on the alarm if nobody's in the hospital? Anyways, um, here. Can you hear me? Kira, Kira, please stay with me. Oh my gosh. I don't need another person's dad today. My boss actually going to fire me and I do really need this this work this job, guys. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. No, we need a safer for real, guys. Can you count how many cold blues I've had in this past months that I've been a nurse? Let me know in the comments. Oh my gosh. Kira, stay with me. Kira, can you hear me? Kira. Oh my god. No, she can't die. She can't die. I swear she can't. Oh shoot. There's no chugable rhythm. There's no chugable rhythm. Oh my gosh. Um, let's connect her to the Ivy. And she's just 22 years old. Maybe she's in college. I don't know. Oh my gosh. No. No. No. No. Kira, stay with me. Kira, this is the last Kira, can you hear me? [gasps] Kira, are you with us? Did I saved you?
Can you see me? Can you hear me? Can you see me and hear me?
>> I can't see, but I can hear.
>> Why you mean you can't see?
>> Wait. So, >> let me check your eyes. Okay.
>> Oh, great heavens.
>> Can Can you see now?
>> I can see the light.
>> No, no. This is the light that I'm giving you. You know what? Let me put some some of these.
>> Can you see now? Yeah.
>> Okay, good. Well, you went into cardiac arrest, but you I saved you, man. Why are you floating?
>> So, I'm going to continue monitoring your head, but um I'm going to let you rest. Okay, just just let me know when you feel better.
>> Okay.
>> Oh my gosh, that was intense.
>> Whoa. I hope she's good.
>> 3 hours later.
>> Hey. Oh.
>> Oh, you're good.
>> Yeah, I feel so much better. Oh, where's your gown?
>> Oh, I took it off. It's over there.
>> Oh, okay. You feel better?
>> Yeah.
>> You're not dizzy anymore. You can hear.
You can see everything.
>> Yep.
>> Okay, then I guess you can go home now.
Let me just um print your discharge papers. Um also, before you go, I do need you to sign this. Do you have insurance?
>> No.
>> No.
>> No.
>> Okay. Well, let me just Okay. Well, sign this, please. Um, please read it and let me start checking how much the total will be. Okay, >> here you go.
>> Oh, thank you. Perfect. Let me file it.
There we go. Your total will be 1,583 um and 99.
>> I beg your finest pardon. Yeah, but I'm a broke 22year-old, so like I don't have that kind of money.
