The New One Person AI Business No One Is Talking About (Full Workflow)Added:
The way we run one person businesses is about to change forever. Recently, I tested an AI agent workflow using Axiom Work to see if one person could realistically handle the workload that normally requires an entire team. And I'll be honest with you, I expected it to be way more limited than it was. By the end of the same day, I already had suppliers researched, inquiry emails drafted, follow-ups organized, and workflows running that would normally eat up my entire week. So, let me show you what actually happened. I gave myself less than 24 hours to test a new product idea in the pet niche, specifically a console car seat for small dogs, [music] Yorkies, Chihuahuas, that kind of market. At first, the idea sounded simple, but the deeper I got into it, the faster I realized how much work one single product idea actually creates.
Because the second you try building any online business, drop shipping, affiliate marketing, e-commerce, whatever it is, suddenly everything depends on you. What sounds simple at first quickly turns into hours of supplier research, pricing comparisons, outreach emails, waiting for replies, and trying to keep the entire process organized by yourself. Normally, that workload is spread across an entire team. And that was the moment I realized something. Most one-person businesses are not limited by ideas. They are limited by workload. I had zero people helping me. It was just me. So, instead of trying to juggle everything myself, I decided to see if an AI agent workflow inside Axiom Work could help me run parts of the process automatically. And once I started seeing everything working together in real time, I knew I had to show you guys this. So, the first thing I did was download Axiom Work on my desktop and create an account. And by the way, if you guys want to follow the same process I used, I left the exact link down in the description below. So, once I got inside, I went straight to the agent section and clicked a new agent. Then the setup screen popped up asking me to choose a starting point.
You can either build an agent completely from scratch or start with pre-built workflows, depending on what kind of business help you need. Since my goal was supplier sourcing and outreach for a product business, I picked the e-commerce expert setup instead of starting from scratch. Then I gave the agent a name, I I it pet product agent.
You can also choose an avatar writing style and even the AI model you want the agent running on. For this workflow, I kept the writing style on professional and left the model provider on auto so it could automatically choose what works best. After that, I clicked next and moved into the tools and skills setup.
Most of the important tools were already enabled by default, things like sourcing tools, web browsing, memory, collaboration, and file access. Then this was the important part, the skills section. And this is basically where you decide what abilities you want your agent to specialize in depending on your workflow. Some skills were already enabled automatically, things like Gmail assistant, product selection, product supply sourcing, stuff like that. But you can also add extra skills depending on what you want the agent to handle. So I opened the recommended skills section, went into sourcing, and added the sales negotiation skill because I wanted the agent helping with supplier communication, too. And this is the cool part. You can customize this completely depending on your business. If you were doing affiliate marketing, maybe you enable research or content related skills. If you're designing products, maybe product design skills. If you run an e-commerce store, maybe sourcing or operations skills. So instead of acting like a generic AI chatbot, the agent was now specifically configured for the exact workflow I needed. Then after that, there was a user profile section.
This part was simple. I just added my name, left the extra notes and background sections mostly as they were, then clicked finish and launch to create the agent. And that was basically it.
The agent was ready. One thing I liked is that you can always go back into the skills tab later and add extra abilities depending on what you want the agent helping with. So if later you want more features or tools, you can enable them anytime and customize the workflow around your needs. Now one important thing here, since I wanted the agent helping with supplier outreach and emails, I made sure Gmail assistant was enabled inside the skills section.
Because without that, the agent would not properly understand Gmail related tasks and email workflows. So at this point, the agent was no longer acting like a generic chatbot. It was now specifically configured for supplier sourcing, outreach, product research, and e-commerce workflow tasks. So, after finishing the setup, the next thing I needed was email outreach. For that, I opened the connector section and connected my Gmail account. It redirected me to the browser where I signed into the Gmail account I wanted to use. Then, after confirming everything, Gmail showed as successfully connected inside Axiowork. So, after that, I went back into my pet product agent and opened a new chat. And this is where I finally wanted to see if this workflow could handle real work or not.
So, I gave it a pretty straightforward task. Find five reliable Alibaba suppliers for small dog console car seats, compare them based on pricing, MOQ, supplier reputation, manufacturing experience, and sample availability, then rank [music] the best options for testing, pricing, shipping, and long-term manufacturing. So, after I sent the prompt, the agent immediately started searching through Alibaba suppliers and organizing everything automatically in real time. And after a few minutes, it came back with a full supplier comparison report. And this was the exact screen I was looking at. It showed supplier pricing, MOQ requirements, ratings, manufacturing experience, sample availability, and lead times all side by side inside one dashboard. So, from there, I started reviewing the suppliers manually. For example, one supplier immediately stood out because the MOQ was only two pieces, which made it a strong option for low-risk product testing. Another caught my attention because the pricing was competitive, the MOQ was still low at 10 pieces, and the lead time was only 7 days. One supplier also looked really solid because it had verified status, a 4.9 supplier rating, and a much stronger balance between pricing and reliability overall. And then another stood out because they had 17 years of manufacturing experience, plus the Alibaba Pro badge, which made them look much stronger for long-term scaling. And what I liked is that the agent did not just throw random supplier links onto the screen. Everything was already organized in a way that actually made the decision process easier. So, instead of me manually comparing suppliers across different tabs trying to figure out who is actually worth contacting, the short list was basically already organized for me. So, after reviewing everything, I narrowed it down to three suppliers for outreach, one with the best pricing, one with the strongest overall reliability, and another with the strongest manufacturing experience for long-term scaling. So, once I picked the suppliers I wanted to contact, I gave the agent a second prompt. I told it to use Gmail to send personalized inquiry emails to the three selected suppliers. And guys, I already inserted the supplier names directly into the prompt here, so it knew exactly who the outreach was going to. I asked for wholesale pricing, MOQ details, shipping timelines, sample availability, and customization options. Then, I hit send.
And within a few minutes, the agent came back with outreach emails for all three suppliers. But, what caught my attention is that it was not using one generic template copied three times. Each email was adjusted depending on the supplier it was contacting. One supplier email focused more on low MOQ testing. Another focused more on private labeling and long-term manufacturing. And one supplier did not even have a public business email available. So, the agent suggested contacting them directly through Alibaba instead. So, instead of sitting in Gmail rewriting the same supplier message over and over again, the entire outreach workflow was already prepared for me. Then, after reviewing the emails quickly, I gave it one final prompt. Send the prepared inquiry emails to the three selected suppliers using my connected Gmail account. And since the agent asked for my company name and region before sending the emails, I used Northlane Commerce and set the region to the United States, so everything looked more polished and professional from the supplier side. Then, I hit send. So, right after I hit send, the platform actually gave me a delivery report showing that all three supplier emails went through. And just to double-check, I opened my actual Gmail sent folder, and there they were. Real emails sent from my real account directly to the suppliers. And it didn't even stop there. The agent actually recommended the next steps automatically. [music] It told me to just monitor my inbox for the next 24 to 48 hours, because that's usually when suppliers get back to you.
And sure enough, real replies actually started coming in. And just like that, the hardest part of my 24-hour product test was done. This is exactly how I'm automating the operations for my own business right now. Sitting there watching this run entirely in the background made me realize something. I see a lot of people panicking online right now. They're scared AI is going to steal their jobs or put them out of business. But honestly, AI isn't going to replace you. A person who knows how to use AI is going to replace you. If you're running a one-person business, your biggest limit has always been the amount of hours in a day. But when you offload all that repetitive busy work, the spreadsheets, the endless follow-ups, the daily admin stuff, you finally get your time back to actually grow the business. And you can build a workflow like this for literally any industry. It doesn't matter if you do drop shipping, affiliate marketing, run an agency, or sell digital products. If you want me to show you how to build a specific AI workflow for your exact business model, just drop a comment down below with your industry and I'll make a dedicated video covering it. So, if you found this useful, make sure to subscribe because I've got more videos like this coming soon. God bless and I'll catch you in the next one.
