Investing in stadium tech is a hollow distraction if the club's most valuable human assets remain sidelined by injury. A world-class fan experience means nothing without a healthy squad to actually watch.

Miley OUT! Stadium improvements ANNOUNCED! NUFC news.Hinzugefügt:
What's going on everybody? Welcome back to the tune review. My name is Paul and this is your latest Newcastle United news. The second news video of the day, but I'm afraid it is not a good one as Newcastle United have confirmed that Lewis Miley will miss the rest of the season with a fractured fibula. He sustained that in training this morning and we'll see a specialist tomorrow.
This is darn right rotten rotten look for Miley. He's a hell of a player. We want to see Miley on the pitch, whether that be at right back, but certainly in midfield. We know he's got a hell of a future ahead of him, but what we don't want to see is him consistently being cut down by these nasty injuries. If you remember the PSG Champions League game, uh he was out after that with a dead leg that became muscle damage. I still think Newcastle United are covering our eyes a little bit with what really happened with that because Eddie how kept on saying two weeks, two weeks, two weeks he'd be back and it just kept on snowballing. Uh but then he made the statement of we have to be very careful for Lewis's career. We cannot rush him back. So that sentence alone will tell you how serious that injury was to Lewis Miley. It was a huge injury and one that could have risked his career had he been brought back too soon. Now look, it's not that Miley's injury prone because you can't do anything about a broken leg. It's just rotten rotten bad luck.
He is going to see his specialist tomorrow. Uh and hopefully Newcastle United will get some more news on him after that. They have released a statement Newcastle. They said Lewis Miley will miss the remaining three matches of the season after fracturing his fibula. The 20-year-old midfielder sustained the injury to his lower right leg during training on Tuesday. He will continue uh to have rehabilitation with the club's medical team, but he is traveling to see a specialist consultant on weddednesday and is expected to return for the start of preseason. Uh wishing you a speedy recovery, Lewis.
So, a short brief but caring statement, you know, wishing him well and things like that, but they're not saying how it happened. They're not saying who was involved. That might come out at a later date. Uh I'm sure already how will bring us up to date on Miley's situation uh on Friday morning in his press conference.
This now though opens the door for Kieran Trippier to play the final three games of the season. Of course, Lewis Miley has been filling in at right back since Tino got injured, but this is now the opportunity for Trippia to step forward. It's one game a week. That should be okay for Trippia for the final three games of the season. It's also a perfect opportunity for us to say goodbye to him against West Ham. Uh, of course the away fans will get to say that against Fulham uh at the end of the season, but for for the home fans at St. James's Park, that West Ham game, he will play in that game and he will be given a fantastic send off, I'm pretty sure. But for Miley, it's absolutely gut-wrenching, isn't it? You know, we've seen so many times young players being cut down by injuries so consistently in the past that it's affected them moving forward. And we pray to God that this isn't the case with Lewis Miley because he's such a talent. He's such a talent that we I mean they'll need to wrap the kid up in cotton wool, but obviously Newcastle are saying they hope to he'd be back for the start of preseason. Of course, that all depends on what the specialist says tomorrow. He may see a specialist and say, "No, that needs surgery. You're going to be out six to nine months and that would mean that he'll miss the start of preseason and into the new season." That would be an absolute disaster for Miley because I'm sure with this whole revamp of the squad in the summer, he's going to be wanting to be right there in preseason to make sure that he shows Eddie how just what he can do amongst all the new signings because there is going to be plenty of signings, especially at fullback. The right back position is one that is going to be sparse. If Livermento goes, Trippy is leaving, Craft's leaving. There's nobody there. We've got young Shahar coming through, but as we've seen in the past, Eddie's a bit reluctant to put him on the pitch to be fair. So, it's going to be very very difficult for for Lewis Miley if he's out even longer than that, but I want to see him back in midfield.
I think everybody does. We know how good Miley is. Not necessarily at the minute would he be first choice once the new season starts and we get players in. I am sure we are looking at other players to bring in. You know, we don't know the situation with Willick. Will he stay, etc. But the fact is Miley is Newcastle United's future and every fan can see that he is such a great talent. But again, cut down cut down by an injury like this. I mean, look, Newcastle United at the minute. I I don't know what it is with our club. There's just news every single day and it's not necessarily great. You know, it's it's hard when you've got so many stories of bad news happening to Newcastle players.
the club, you know, suffering a terrible season. We just need something to lift us right now. I mean, the Brighton game obviously did because it was a brilliant win, but it was a hard fought win. But now we go to Nottingham Forest and it's that's going to be a tough game by the way. You know, their reserves be hammered Chelsea the other night. It's going to be a tough game despite the fact they're playing in Europe uh during the week. But it's awful news for Miley.
It really is. Now, just a little bit of other news for you is that Newcastle United uh have made an announcement and drop a hint that things are going to change within St. James's Park next season. They're going to make changes.
Now, one thing that we've all been nagging on at the club for a long time now is the internet connection and the well the 4G, 5G, whatever you want to call it inside the ground. Now the weird thing is for me when I go into the ground and I sit there before kickoff when the players are warming up I've got a perfect signal yet when the game starts and halfime etc. I've got nothing and I know that that happens to a lot of other fans as well. The connectivity these days in this day and age should be absolutely spoton in a stadium as big as Newcastle United's. We know that. Uh but the club have announced a raft of improvements that they say has been shaped directly by the feedback of supporters uh with them after every home game. Apparently over 277,000 supporters completing a match day experience survey. Um uh and one eye-catching improvement to look out for will be the stadium lighting. So all the stadium flood lights are set to be replaced with the latest lighting technology uh ready for next season which Newcastle believe will enhance visibility while also opening opportunities for more pre-match light and entertainment moments. Now that's one thing we you know we've criticized the club for in the past is it's a little bit boring before kickoff.
There's no real sort of energy in the ground. They're trying to improve that this season, bless them, but it's still not a patch on other teams in the league. Uh, a number of Premier League stadia have adapted their lighting to produce pregame light shows and it appears that Newcastle United will be ready to follow suit next season. They prove very popular with some supporters.
Uh, but others are against them and think they spoil the atmosphere in the buildup to kickoff. I don't agree with that. I think you need to make the atmosphere as redot as they possibly can. If that's a light show, if that's fire, you know, the the fire machines and all of this uh rigma roll, I think it's brilliant. It gets everybody up for the game. Uh but the music is a big part of that as well. Uh and Newcastle have also confirmed that work is underway to deliver full stadium 5G uh with installation taking place over the next 9 to 12 months. While the stadium's PA system has been upgraded after years of work to improve the sound quality. So it is going to take a while before we're all sitting there on our phones at halftime with perfect connections. Um 9 to 12 months to get that done. Uh they've also announced improvements to their food and drink offering toilet facilities, greater accessibility around the ground, and more digital screens and kiosks, and 2,000 seats that have been upgraded with further upgrades planned.
So, this is exactly what Hopinson's been talking about, improving the club behind the scenes, improving the ground, and improving the match day experience for fans. And that's what it's all about.
The fans have to have a good match day experience as well. Uh and you know we've been going into that stadium over the years seeing it sort of crumble away but they are making efforts now to to to make it better for the fans and make that whole match day experience. Uh of course listen there may be a new ground around the corner but that's not going to happen for quite some time uh if we're realistic about it. So uh making improvements to the current St. James's Park is exactly what the fans have been asking for or most of them. I just hope that they improve the music as well before the game because, you know, I think there's a couple of games I've been to this season where they they've had AC/DC on before the game and stuff.
It's music like that that gets the crowd pumping and and and now we we turn to the players and we want the players to respond to that. That hasn't always happened, granted, this season, but at least the club are doing something. At least they're listening to fans, and that's the main thing. They're listening to fans. But there you go, guys. That is the second video of the day. Thank you very much for watching. Uh if you have enjoyed the video, do give it a like. Of course, put your comments below uh about Miley and how much of a miss he is going to be. Uh and don't forget if you are new to the channel, please do subscribe to the tune review and we'll see you again very very soon. In the meantime, take
