Deep Seek is not the model I expected.

Instead, it's competing on economics. They found a way while they were resource-constrained. And what I mean by resource-constrained is that there is an export ban of top-end GPUs from the USA to China. So, they're not on the fanciest Nvidia GPUs like the rest of the AI labs in the USA [music] are. Instead, they're using Huawei new chips.
