Unsolved violent crimes in communities create lasting psychological trauma, disrupt social order, and demand collective community action for justice, as demonstrated by the Kingsway community's response to the brutal murder of Palesa Sediso, where residents expressed fear, demanded swift police action, and called for justice to protect vulnerable community members.

A family in mourning and a community in shock.
>> [screaming] >> THEY'RE ALL SEEKING ANSWERS following the discovery of Balisa Sediso's mutilated body.
Her mother, Mpho, is struggling to accept her sudden brutal death.
The 53-year-old says she now has to take care of Balisa's two daughters. She revealed that before her death, Balisa was threatened after witnessing hidden dead bodies.
Before Balisa died, she once came home with scars on her head, missing some hair and very scared.
While smoking, and her cigarette fell, upon picking it, she saw four dead bodies under a bed, and she wouldn't say where that happened.
Then that person realized that Balisa saw the dead bodies under a bed and told her she will also end up there.
At least if we can find her other body parts, because right now, that's the most important thing that we need.
Once we get her missing body parts, we can have a way forward and give her a dignified burial. The brutal murder is not the first in the community. The community is very much angry, shocked, and devastated. This incident is not the first one.
Last year at around this month, I think it was April, there was a body that was found chopped. The head was not found like this one.
This one, the head is not found, arms as well as the feet, legs of Balisa are missing.
Which we want to believe that the police are actually investigating.
Residents now fear for their safety and want the immediate arrest of the alleged perpetrators.
It is so sad because a body was found here last week on Tuesday.
And then it had no head, no legs, no hands. So it is shocking for the community. So it it has very much.
There's no mother who would be happy to see their child killed in such a manner.
And as women in Kingsway, we have to take a stand regarding our girl children that are getting killed.
We calling upon all our law enforcement agencies to act swiftly and decisively against the perpetrators to to install justice. Gauteng police say they are investigating a case of murder.
