Risking permanent blindness for a $15,000 vanity project is the ultimate triumph of aesthetic obsession over basic biological survival. It is a tragic irony when the pursuit of a "new look" leaves you unable to see the result.

THE SURGERY TREND THAT'S CAUSING PERMANENT BLINDNESS (EYE COLOR SURGERY)Added:
[music] >> What color are we doing? Honey gold.
High intensity? [music] Let's do it.
Great.
You know people are nervous about it.
You just went through it. What would you say?
Painless, easy, quick.
>> [music] >> Open your eyes.
What do you think?
Oh, wow.
They're really red, aren't they? Looking like you got a Sharingan. And and this is permanent, doc?
>> Yeah, that [ __ ] can never be removed.
Wow. [sighs] >> No refunds, either. They look so natural. Is this [ __ ] dead ass? What's going on, YouTube? It's your boy Young Cantaloupe. And today, [cheering] we are going to be reacting to >> [music] >> Now you might be asking yourself, Young Cantaloupe, why the [ __ ] would anybody put these bum ass colors in their eyes?
You know [ __ ] are dumb.
Come on, we got people that in their free time are willing to crush every bone in their body to crawl through caves.
People will do anything. But the real kicker about this in particular is that one, and Sharon's doesn't cover this [ __ ] Why the [ __ ] would it? Two, it is about $13,000 to get this procedure done. I don't know this exact procedure, but eye color changing surgery in general. It's about $15,000 ish dollars.
So that's out of pocket.
And three, the number one thing that really makes this [ __ ] dumb as [ __ ] are the complications that come with it.
>> Getting my eyes turned to olive green from brown. I'll try not to freak out.
I'm excited. Feels pretty unreal right now. Let's do it. Can I see your new green Yeah, let's do it. Okay, well.
They look natural, too. Yeah, right.
Keratopigmentation drives me nuts, and this is the reason why. This research article, amongst others, are telling us that patients complained in 50% of cases of light sensitivity, and the overall complication rate was almost 13%. Now, while 13% doesn't sound like a lot, it's a lot for a cosmetic procedure that does nothing for the function of your vision.
If you compare that to all the other FDA eye surgeries that have an average complication rate of less than 1%, that is 13 times higher simply just to change your eye color.
>> Paying 15 bands to have someone color in your eyes is ridiculous as it is. But, to pay 15 bands, and there's a pretty good chance there's some complications you'll face down the line, is just plain ludicrous. I mean, it's plain insane to pay for eye complications, to pay to go blind, in a sense.
You're making your chances of going blind higher.
A lot of these people There was a whole documentary on this. A lot of them they went to get their eyes changed, and then they had to end up getting them taken out or they would go blind. You have to be the most insecure person in the world. This shoe fits for each of them. They're all the most insecure people. Let's put it like that. The most insecure people in the world. The people that know you know that's not real. Now you got to change cities, get a whole new friend group, cut your family up like You got to do all of that just to make it look real and seem real. Come on now.
Decent amount of these patients are experiencing light sensitivity. Your color fading. Again, if I'm going to pay 15 bands to get my eyes colored, [ __ ] you mean my [ __ ] finna fade? I don't drop 15 bands on a goddamn tattoo for that [ __ ] to fade in a year or two. [ __ ] that. And to be fair, you would never pay 15 bands for a tattoo unless it covered damn near your whole back and it was a very, very esteemed artist. And then, the thing that really stood out to me, visual field limitations. You are limiting your eyesight so you can have purple eyes. You know this is not a naturally occurring eye color. Yes.
[music] You're good with that? I am.
Just made the purple.
>> [music] >> I think you're going to really like these. Great. Ready to see them? I am.
Purple violet eyes. This has been your new eye color.
I got the color since about 13, 14, 15 years old. We'll see how it looks in that just contacts. We're going to see the real deal now. Here we go. Oh wow.
This man is going bald.
He going to be bald and blind. This man is in his late 40s for sure, at best, and he decided to do this now.
>> [screaming] >> Oh wow, okay.
Yes, amazing.
That is the face of someone that realizes what he has done is permanent.
And he might as well just roll with the punches. They can talk about some how is it. Yes, amazing. Bro couldn't even get it in one sequence. He had to cut those clips together. Look. Yes, amazing. Oh my god, bro. I swear to god, if I saw that [ __ ] and I just seen his eyes, bro, he just had a ski mask and just his eyes, dog, I'd give him whatever the [ __ ] he wanted. I swear to god that [ __ ] does not look human. That [ __ ] looks like something that is not of human origin. Holy [ __ ] [ __ ] He look like a vampire something, dog, or werewolf. I I don't even know what the [ __ ] he look like. Hey, God bless his soul though. He Maybe he is happy about it. Maybe he just trying to roll with the punches, but whatever the case may be, he lost 15 bands.
Whatever [snorts] the case may be, my brother in Christ, 15 bands, 13 bands, hell, maybe you even got the super duper discount and it was only 10 bands. That is no longer in your possession. This [ __ ] is committing highway robbery by doing these [ __ ] surgeries. Honey gold eyes. Risks include light sensitivity and scratches.
Wow, that's awesome. How you feeling seeing yourself for the first time like this? I like it.
>> [laughter] >> This is awesome.
Oh wow. When you see people, what do you think they're going to say now? Wow, what a question by the doctor there.
When you see people, what is it [music] you think they'll say about your new eye color? Well, honestly, if that were me and my homeboy spent 15 bands to change his eye color to that dumb ass [ __ ] I'd probably ask him if he's doing all right.
I'd ask him if he's taking his meds. I'd ask him if everything's all right at home.
There's no way that you go out of your way to drop that type of money on a procedure like that and everything's okay.
Absolutely not. Yeah, the Michael Jackson Thriller music video was cool, but but you shouldn't want eyes like that permanently. Bro, this is like getting a tattoo on your face, except you can actually have that removed. You can't even get this [ __ ] removed, dog.
Like this is the new getting your face tatted for businesses. If I was a boss and a [ __ ] walked in with purple eyes, I would send him home so [ __ ] quickly, dog. You don't even understand.
I don't know if that's discriminating.
It probably is, but they don't have any I choked then I laughed, but yo, speaking of face tats, last night I had a dream that I got a face tat. I was pissed.
These people spending 15 bands, 13 to 15 bands for this. You know how many people can't save that type of money, never seen that type of money in their life at one time? These people getting it burn a hole in their pocket. They go do something as stupid as this. They couldn't do nothing better with the money. The eye change color don't make you look no better, it just make you look crazy. You paid to look crazy is why I work. thing like it'd be the first of its kind to be honest. There there would be no prior case to that, but I know that if you're dropping nine bands, 10 bands, 15 bands for changing your eye color, I I can't imagine what other type of insane decisions you're making with your life. And based off of that, I would have to deem you unreliable. So, no.
>> Every day you're going to wake up and see your new eyes.
Is this permanent? It is.
Oh, wow. How the hell are you getting this surgery and you don't even know it's permanent? How could you sign all those papers, go through all of those pre-doctor visits? Because there's absolutely no way they went in for this surgery and they hadn't met before.
There's no way this man dropped $15,000 and didn't know it was permanent. But you see in that moment, it hit, bro.
Wow.
This shit's really about to be my eye color forever.
I'm going to be 40 years old taking my kid to school and these are going to be my optics everyone sees.
If I drop my kid off and I meet they dad, and he got some eyes like this, son, there's absolutely no way you're playing with this nigga's son. Absolutely not.
Because again, if they're getting this surgery, dog, I I I can't rule anything out when it comes to these people. I These people are willing to do anything at this point.
These people just don't have the type of common sense, the type of, you know, secureness that I like. And I know somebody that had got this done. He was one of the first ones to get it done. I ain't going to name drop him. I haven't talked to him since. For real. Did music with him and everything back then.
>> You're mentally unstable, sir. What would make you do this? Especially as a black man. Why would you get blue eyes?
Oh, you don't want to be a black man no more. Got you. You can't do that. Like it's like if I found out someone on Friday nights likes to go to the cemetery in the middle of the night to try to get scared. Like, okay, you know, do your thing, but I'm not being anywhere near you, dog, because you're probably going to try to summon spirits or put a pentagram on my bed when I'm sleeping and try to resurrect a demon lord. I can't Yo, exactly. It's a strong connection between These people are evil. They're evil. That's what's going on with them. These are fallen angel seeds or something. can't do that.
Definitely can't have my son around your kid. Your vision's probably not as good.
Eye sensitivity, you can't be out in the sun too long. You always got to wear shades. Ah, nah. Nah. Love it. Gentle. Super gentle.
Just comes to like touching my eyes. It's just the way you talk.
It's very calming. It's awesome. I I I don't know what the [ __ ] they were doing during that surgery, but I'm not sure I really believe this dude, to be honest.
Like, every time I see these videos and they see their eyes, they genuinely look mortified at what their eye color has become.
Yeah, they say, "I love it. Wow, these are my eyes now? Oh, holy [ __ ] man.
These are great."
People don't act like that when they see some [ __ ] they like. Go watch a a hair transformation video a video of a girl getting her hair dyed and she likes it. That's excitement. A video of someone seeing their [ __ ] tattoo. Damn, that [ __ ] look tough.
That's not how you act when you [ __ ] with some [ __ ] bro. That's the face you make when your barber just chopped off four extra inches of your hair when you told him you just wanted a trim.
That's the type of face you make. I have been in that situation before. I know that tone of voice, man. Facts.
I had a barber do me like that before.
He was late.
Then he messed my whole haircut up, bro.
My hair I had been growing for a long time. He chopped off way too much.
I was pissed.
When he asked me how it was it, it was that monotone.
Yeah, I like it.
Same thing they doing. They really telling them to say this for the camera, too. They telling them, "We need a good review." They're realizing I made a big mistake, but they don't want to say that on camera. The money already gone. The procedure has already been done. Now what? There's nothing else you can do.
You can't tell them take it out. Could you take these out, please? I don't like it. I need a refund. Give me my eyes back. I don't have a barber [ __ ] my [ __ ] up, and I look him dead in the face and say, "It's great, man."
The American Academy of Ophthalmology is actually warning the public against two different eye color changing procedures.
The first is called iris implant surgery, and that's actually using an artificial type of iris, like made [music] out of silicone, to cover over the natural iris. And the other one is laser surgery, what this person here is having. [music] With this one, it's essentially keratopigmentation, or eye tattooing, that's being performed. And you're permanently changing [music] the cornea from clear to opaque, and you're covering over the natural iris color inside. Now, the risks of doing this type of procedure include damage to the cornea, light sensitivity, [music] reaction to the dye, which can cause inflammation, bacterial or fungal infections, uneven distribution of the dye, leakage of the [music] dye into the eye, and the color can fade with time.
So, remember, the safest way to change the color of your eyes always just going to be to go with [music] colored contact lenses. If you want to change the color of your eyes, guess what, people? Did you know that contacts can actually achieve the exact result you're looking for, and you don't have to spend five figures. You do not have to sacrifice your vision, your tolerance to sunlight, if you want to change your eye color.
All you got to do is spend 20 bucks, and boom, you could get any eye color you want. But no, I think the contacts were the Trojan horse to this. They started off contacts, and people would ask, "Are those your eyes?" And they would say, "Well, they're contacts." Now that they got the surgery, they can say, "Yeah, they're mine. They're permanent." That's all they want. They want to be able to say they're permanent. That's it. Just lie. Get the contacts and lie. Say, "Yeah, yeah, these are mine." That's all there is to it. You don't have to risk going blind, nothing. But, if a man getting contacts period, that's questionable. I'm telling you like, if you can't see, get the clear ones.
But, we talking about you doing it just to have a different eye color, that's questionable, man. You're part of that community, ain't you, boy? Temporary's just not in. Temporary means that you're not committed.
So, you got to make sure that [ __ ] is permanent. Eye color changing surgery makes BBL surgery look like a necessity.
And what do I mean by that? I pretty much just mean that eye color changing surgery is dumber, stupider, and even more of a ridiculous surgery than BBLs.
When BBLs first dropped in America, because in Brazil, they're pretty normal. They're not over-the-top the way they have them here. But, when we started seeing the ant builds pop up left and right, well, I thought that has to be the dumbest thing you could spend your money on surgically. And then the height boosting thing came out. And that was the dumbest thing you could spend your money on. But, now we have a new champion.
And it's the Well, honestly, I I don't know if this is worse because those dudes that got the height boosting thing, they >> just about to say that, bro. He beat me to it. I was going to say the worst one is the height boosting.
I thought he said height at first, right? Height. Getting height surgery.
Dude can't walk to this day. I think he got a walker or a cane or something.
He got problems with walking, but he's taller. I'd rather be as short as can be and I can walk normal.
>> can't really walk anymore. So, I'm going to put a pin on being worse than the height boosting one. But, this one might just be worse. I mean, it's listed as the most dangerous forms of plastic surgery currently out there.
>> This is interesting. Top 10 most dangerous cosmetic surgeries that was published in 2024. And the first one being eye color change surgery, not keratopigmentation, but all the other previous iterations of changing eye color where there were a 92% chance of you having a complication. The craziest thing is number 10 on this particular list has a complication rate of around 11%. So, even with keratopigmentation, 13% complication rate still puts you in the top 10 most dangerous cosmetic surgery. And those two methods that this doctor was speaking about are the two that make it one of the most, if not the most dangerous plastic surgery one could get here in America. Now, the initial ones we saw earlier, I do not believe those are the same that this woman got done, but those ones still come with issues with light sensitivity, color fading, and potential, you know, um your field of vision getting reduced. Either way, it's dumb as [ __ ] to get this done.
What makes it really dumb are all the complications with it, the insane price tag on it. Five figures for something like that is dumb as [ __ ] And just the fact that you can get contacts, not really ruin your eyesight, and achieve pretty much the same exact look. I don't want to put these people down too too much. This is just for entertainment purposes and comedy at the end of the day, but at the same time, this is dumb as [ __ ] Dumb as [ __ ] [ __ ] And to the doctor that is doing this, it's no hate to bro. You know, get your bag, brother. He said that um he enjoys making people happy and fulfill their dreams. Hey, if that's what people want and they come to you and they're very happy with it and you have no like, you know, crazy skeletons in your closet over it, do your thing, brother. Don't let this video stop you from that. But that's I bet you he wouldn't let his kids get it. He wouldn't let his wife get it. He wouldn't let nobody in his family get it. But he'll do the surgery. I don't like that. Like he don't believe in it, but he'll do the surgery for other people. And then after they get the money, they start getting aggressive.
They stop being so friendly. You know, the customer service change. They really don't care about them no more. Yo, let me know what y'all think about this.
This one crazy. If y'all want to see more videos like this, drop it in the comment section below. I had to do this one.
