AI Makes Angry Birds From Scratch

[00:00:00]So, today we are making Angry Birds from scratch only using AI and I'm excited to see what we produce in this video. Now, we're using Veridian AI. Shout out to them for partnering with me in this video. Every great journey begins with a simple idea. I agree and we're going to make Angry Birds. Let's start it off.

[00:00:15]Make Angry Birds from scratch. Now, I'm pretty sure it's using Claude as the main agent right now, but it mixes between all the AI. I want to be able to play it immediately. Yo, my grammar is actually terrible. I need to start looking at the screen when I type. This is actually crazy. Now, let's try to make like a prototype game so that we could just play immediately. I want to see what we have to improve later on.

[00:00:38]But, if it makes the core functions in one go, that would be ideal. Try to implement all the core functions of the game for a good prototype. All right, let's send this bad boy. Come on.

[00:00:54]All right, it is making our Angry Birds clone. It's thinking right now. I think it's going to do pretty good. Angry Birds is not a complex game. It has a simple format, you know what I mean? You click on the bird, you hold it and then you launch it. It's kind of like a catapult game and it's super unique in that area. And a lot of us grew up with it as kids, bro. I I used to play Angry Birds quite a bit on my mom's phone, bro. It's making the Angry Birds HTML file. Now, as I said, if it could just generate the basic like core fundamentals of Angry Birds, I think we'll have something super solid to build upon. But, like from what I can remember, you know, there was the white bird, the big black bird that literally blows up. It's like a bomb. And then there's just the classic red. You just launch red into anything. And there was also those three little small like blue birds that like when you click on the screen, they all split up. That would be cool to add. And then obviously, we all know the fast one, the yellow one. He's the fast one. And then obviously, the enemies, the pigs and stuff. Like they build towers and you have to knock it down. All right, Veridian is taking a minute, but uh you know what I mean?

[00:01:54]Would you look at that? Veridian is now done. It just It opened the browser automatically. That's actually pretty cool. But, um here's Angry Birds. This This already looks pretty good. Look at the UI. Let's just take it in real quick. Red is normal, so let's see. It has the red bird and then it has the blue bird right here splitting in three.

[00:02:08]And then yellow, the speed boost bird.

[00:02:10]Literally just as I mentioned. It's as if it just heard me. All right, let's play now. Okay. Yo, it really made the bird models and the pig. Yo, as a first rendition, this is really impressive.

[00:02:19]Okay, let's drag and okay, aim it toward Okay, we did some damage right there. Let's load it up the next bird and then let go right here. We should be able to hit it.

[00:02:30]Yeah, okay, there it is. That's not bad at all. Wait, did it really make a next level? Let's Let's go. It It made a next level. I'm actually super surprised. Um you know what I mean? We're getting advanced. AI is getting advanced, bro.

[00:02:41]If you're a game developer out there, don't worry. This is probably not taking your job, but uh this this will definitely help you out there, you know what I mean? Okay, so the special is we have to click space after we launch the bird. Kind of missed it right there.

[00:02:52]Let's try the the yellow bird. It's going to speed up after we click space.

[00:02:56]Yep, it sped up. That is crazy. That actually like just scared me. I was like cuz it just flashed on my screen and just destroyed the freaking pig, bro.

[00:03:03]All right, level three, let's go. I can't believe it actually created more levels though. That's actually impressive. All right, let's speed blitz through them. Okay, did not die. One thing I noticed though, I think the other red birds and blue birds from other rounds did not despawn. So, that might be an issue. Oh, the guy is behind us. We can't even kill him. All right, let's try the blue bird special though.

[00:03:21]Okay, it does work. Interesting. I I'm pretty sure we could say it nailed the core fundamentals of Angry Birds. And to be completely honest, there's not much to improve with this, bro. I'm not even trolling. I don't even know what to do for the rest of it. Like there's actually not much to improve with this.

[00:03:36]You know what? Let's follow what Veridian's trying to tell us. Let's add sound effects and music. I guess that's like one of the only ways we can improve it. And I kind of want the UI to be bigger. So, if we were to publish it as like a unblocked game or something, you guys could just play it. All right, Veridian is cooking up. It's adding full web audio API sound system. So, it's going to generate all the sounds, which is awesome. Thank you. All right, now it's inserting the audio engine into our HTML file. If the audio works good, we're going to change the UI a bit cuz I want it to be playable on mobile for you guys and on PC. So, you can literally have Angry Birds like bootleg version and play anytime. It's adding sound effects to literally everything. It's even adding sound effects to the freaking slingshot, bro. And a win and lose sound effect. Okay, I think it's done. Hold on. All right, it's done, so let's see the sound effects. Let me turn the audio on. It has some little background music.

[00:04:20]Guys, I'm not even trolling. I am so impressed right now. Like, bro, AI has gone pretty far. All right, let's test this out. All right, let's drag and Yeah, there's sound effects everywhere.

[00:04:29]Ping, the drag and damage. Oh, and the win sound effect. Even the buttons have sound effects. Perfect. All right, let's see what else we can improve with this.

[00:04:37]So, let's just click this and add more bird types with unique abilities cuz that's kind of what we're missing right now. We're missing some versatility.

[00:04:43]It's kind of just the big three right now. We need We need the big black bird.

[00:04:47]So, I'm going to I wonder if they're going to add that. Yep, it's adding the black bomb one, the white egg drop one and the green boomerang one as well as big red. Interesting. So, it's going to add five new birds, bro. This is This is about to be like actually like Angry Birds. Oh my goodness. I'm actually excited to see how it's going to do this cuz the purple one it does teleportation. That's his power. So, that's going to be pretty hard to code compared to the other ones. So, in total after this, we'll have eight birds coded into game. After that, I guess I'll work on the UI and let's see if we can improve the graphics because it is lacking a little bit. I'm surprised it worked on the bird designs though.

[00:05:22]That's really cool. All right, Veridian is coding away. Perfect. Oh, I am actually just so surprised on like how well it did in the first iteration. This is a really powerful tool. But, also Angry Birds is not that difficult a game to make. But, imagine, bro, like when Angry Birds first dropped, if they had this technology, they could have just made Angry Birds in literally one sitting as I'm doing right now. All they would have to worry about is obviously the artwork and like designs. But, the core fundamentals, we just nailed it easily in a HTML file. I mean, that's That's That's impressive. It is done, bro. It did that in like I think 3 minutes. So, we have red, normal. We have the blue which splits into three, we all know. Then we have the yellow which is the speed burst. And then we have black which explodes. Next, we have white which drops the egg bombs. And then green which is a boomerang. And then big red obviously we is just really big. And then we have purple which is a laser teleportation. I want to see how that one goes. So, let's go. So, let's play now. Okay, we have red, typical. We might have to go into later levels to really see all them. So, but yeah, let's let's clear this guy out with three reds. Easy dubs. All right, next we have blue and yellow. So, let's test those out. Blue.

[00:06:29]Yep, that one works good. I have yellow right here. We're going to have to kill this guy right behind. Here we have black. They They coded black pretty good. It looks like a bomb more than a bird, but it's okay. All right, let's explode. Oh my Oh my goodness.

[00:06:43]Oh my god. It's not ending. Wait, let's do the other one. Oh my god.

[00:06:47]Oh, that hurt my ears. Woah, I had to mute that. I have to mute that. That actually hurts my ears, bro. What is this violent freaking rage on my screen right now? This is actually scary. All right, that's obviously a bug that we should probably fix. Okay, the sound's gone. Oh, no it's not. Yeah, the bombs are just clearing the levels for us, bro. We don't even have to do anything.

[00:07:03]The bomb bird is continually exploding. Let's ask Veridian to make sure the birds are clear after each level so it's not like on the ground.

[00:07:33]All right, we are at the white bird level. Let's see if this egg stays or if we failed. Okay, wow. We just cleared the entire level in one go. Sorry, by the way, if you hear a blender in the background, that is in fact a blender.

[00:07:43]All right, now the boomerang. All right, let's try the boomerang again. Let's go all the way Okay.

[00:07:49]That was pretty good tech. All right, reset. The last level is only one with the purple bird. Yeah, I cannot test it.

[00:07:54]Let's improve this UI cuz I think it looks kind of ugly.

[00:08:03]Improve the graphics. Oh, wait, my spelling. The graphics as well. All right, let's send it. And after this, we should have our final version of Angry Birds from scratch, bro. AI did pretty good, especially on the first rendition. There was literally little to improve on except for the little things. So, I'm I'm impressed.

[00:08:20]Good job. Yo, it just finished. Okay, this already looks really good. So, it takes up the whole screen. Look at the floating text, guys. Yo, nah, this did really good. Okay, even the button looks good. Now, I'm already peeping the background, but let's just play now and really see. Okay, so that's good. Takes up the whole screen and let's try to kill this guy. Okay, we did not kill him in the first attempt. There's even clouds in the background moving and stuff, bro. That's fire. Perfect drop shadows, too. The slingshot probably needs work, but obviously, if you're really developing this further, you got to probably add your own assets, bro, cuz you know what I mean? You're not going to go far with just just raw code.

[00:08:58]Wow, I just cleared that guy with like no effort. Yeah, this video was super successful. Um Veridian AI did really good. So, I guess we can say AI can make Angry Birds successfully and pretty easily, too. All that's really left to do is to really publish this game and I'll give it to you guys to play. Okay, one last thing before you guys get angry at me. Make this game mobile friendly.
