Hello everybody and welcome back to Cafe Business Manager. We're actually going to head up to the wholesalers in a moment and pick up a new grill. We're going to hire a new employee today and have two chefs on the go. I've done two or three days without you and Isaac just about stays on top of things. We have so many burger orders coming in that it's not uncommon to have like four takeaway orders just waiting to go because they all need burgers. But then sometimes there's also like three tray orders as well that also want burgers. So having that many burgers needing to be made, it's it's holding up the entire service.
Only on one of the days has it been an issue where we've had any walkaways because of that. Um but it's getting to that stage where I could see us having quite a few failed orders. So we're going to get a second chef and get that sorted today before it becomes a problem. One thing I want to do before we get started though, these chairs are in the wrong place.
So I like to do ABC.
Doesn't actually matter for me because I don't actually work this part anymore.
We have staff to do it. But just so I know where everybody's sitting, ABC is every single table. But these ones are CBA. So I could see that getting confusing at some stage. And I don't like the fact that it's like it. So let's just move everything so it's in its proper place, shall we?

Now I'll leave that plate and can for Scarlet. So we'll go and get a grill.
Well, I think I need some patties and some burger buns as well. But we'll check the stock levels while we're up there.

So, unfortunately, the game has not updated yet. I've been on the Discord uh to see what's going on over there. A lot of people waiting for this update. It keeps getting delayed, I think, but there's no sort of official word on it.
Um, yeah. So, we're still waiting for it, unfortunately. Hopefully, it'll be in the next day or so. It seemed like it was going to be a couple of days ago, and then they must have found something with the update and didn't want to just rush it out and polish it first. So, I like that it's better to do it that way around than uh than chuck out an update that doesn't work. Uh, so we'll have to wait probably until the next episode or maybe the episode after that for that update to come, which is why I'm actually getting a second grill. If we had the update, I'd probably be getting an oven because we've now unlocked an oven and we could start doing some pizzas. But that would require me getting a second fridge because of the ingredients required for pizzas, uh, as well as doing burgers at the same time.
I'd need two fridges, I think.
And I don't really have the space for that. And I don't want to expand for the reasons stated in previous videos until that update comes along. Uh if the update takes much longer, we will just have to bite the bullet. But that's why I'm getting a grill because if I get an oven, that's great. But I would need then uh mozzarella. I think I'd need the bases uh and some of the other things as well.
Perhaps pepperoni and things like that would all have to go in the fridge. And there's just not enough room with all of the burger stuff.
All right. So, let's get ourselves a second grill, second prep table.

Uh, so we'll get 12 of those. Let me just make sure that that is the case. A look at the stock. Pretty sure it is.
Uh, no. Apparently, we got no lemons, even though that's I'm sure that machine's nearly full. It's got some in, and so is the orange. I don't know what's going on there, but we have got plenty in stock. I know that for a fact.
Uh, so everything I think is good. Some stuff just needs putting on, but everything's pretty good. Let's get some buns. I know they're getting a little bit low.
So, we'll get another four boxes of those. Right, let's head back. 3 in the morning. What I want to do today is do all of the drink orders myself. So, I'm going to take Chloe off drinks entirely.
So, she's just going to do bakery and then I will deal with all the drinks and everything that come through.
uh to give us something to do today. But I wanted to make another video on the game because it's it's been a week and a half or so since I last put out a video on the game, I think, or getting close to that. And until this update comes out, you know, I wanted to hold off, hold off, hold off. But there comes a point where, you know, I might not have made a video on this for ages. So, I wanted to keep uh keep going with it. I don't want the series just to die off and then come back to it months time and everybody's moved on and doing something else.
I am really enjoying playing this.
There are some new mods for this game as well which I'm very interested in. So, I've not got them yet. I'm waiting for the game update to come before I start introducing those cuz I think some of them might actually be a part of the update potentially. We'll find out, but potentially they might be. But these mods, I think, will enhance our gameplay. So, a simple one to start with. You can actually get a light switch for in there, which you would think would be in the game anyway, wouldn't you? You think there'd be a light switch in here, but there isn't.
It's Yeah, a light switch. So, we can actually turn the lights on and off uh in this place. So, you can have them on in the day if you wanted to. Would be quite nice. I think if we can squeeze this grill in just here, that would be quite nice.
Something like that will do. Let's grab the rest of the stuff.
Yeah. So, a light switch. Uh, another thing is being able to designate a coffee machine just for the player. So, lock a coffee machine to the player. So, like in the previous video, I had that uh second coffee machine on the go, and Chloe came and nerfed me out the way.
Well, she nerfed my coffee out the way and took it over. uh because doing coffee is her thing and she didn't want anybody else to do it.
Uh so I could have that designated just to myself. I've decided not to put that mod in, like I say, just yet. Uh I'm going to wait and see what comes in the official update and then I can put it in afterwards if no such thing comes and it also works afterwards.
Uh so I'm holding off on that. But then my favorite one of that, which I think is actually coming into the game, is that you can uh designate a checkout for takeaway only. So I could then click on this for example and that would designate it to takeaway only. So the only service that happens at this particular checkout would be takeaway only which is perfect for what I want to do in the future having a takeaway window and then that's something I can do as well in the future. We could just have a takeaway window that I just deal with and I can do the coffees and cakes or whatever and grab it all and put it in the takeaway window. That's something I'm hoping to do in the future. So that mod would make that uh possible really.
Uh, but I think that might come into the game anyway, but we'll see when the update finally does happen. Now, can that go there?
Fear not. It can go just can go just there. It does go green. I think I'd rather move that though. Might move the grill to be honest. Might move the grill around.

cuz this is only temporary placing anyway. This is all going to change as soon as we expand and move stuff around.

There we go. So, in future, what I want to do with those, uh, cuz I have been thinking about it while I've been playing the game without you, I kind of want to have these like in the center.
So, I have to prep tables all the way through the center and then have like all of your cooking area like round the edge so they can prep in the middle and then they can just go to their cooking station and then it's done. That's kind of what I want to do with that. Um, but obviously we'll get to that further down the line. Right, it is now nearly half 5. Let's quickly uh first of all go to staff, take Chloe off of doing coffees and drinks.
Might as well just leave her like that to be honest, but I'll have her collect some payment as well, just in case she gets bored at some stage, she can do that. So, all that would be fine. All right, let's hire a new staff member and hope that either Hannah, Matthew, or Elijah are a good chef. Doesn't look like it cuz they're top skills and not chefs. Uh, food quality one. Food quality nothing. Food quality nothing.
That's not great to be honest. Not great at all.
Don't know if any of my existing staff Chloe's got one point in it. Isabella's got a point in it. Isaac's fully maxed out. And that is it. So, I can't It's not even like I can swap one of my my own. Well, I can swap Chloe maybe or Isabella to do it, but not really gaining that much, are we? That's a bit annoying. I was hoping for a a better person there. Uh, but you've got a lot of task capacity. I don't need that. I don't need you be able to do like 15 tasks. That's an unnecessary hire.
I guess it's going to be Hannah cuz she's the only one with anything in food. She's a very good barista as well, so she can, you know, she'll come into it down the line. That's not too bad.

All is good. We can start up for the day. Not too bad. I think we were reasonably successful there. Got about a hund or maybe just under $100 or so. I'm not sure. More than I started the day with having bought a grill and a prep station and some ingredients. That's pretty good.
And also paid a new member of staff.

So that's why I've come back today with another episode just to get us rolling. So we're level 33 now, $746, which that's pretty good. That's, you know, if the price of expansion drops a little bit or some of the other prices are shifted around, that could be quite good. That could get us a reasonable expansion. So what I want to do, I do want to get some some more seating outside and I also want to get some some indoor area as well. I want to get started on that. Um, but I've got to watch this kitchen area because two chefs now on burgers. That was working fine. As soon as Hannah is leveled up, uh, she will be perfect at that and I don't think we'll have any issues. Uh, she's now got a skill point there. So, we will give let's go food quality. So, the more food quality she has, the less likely she is to mess it up. Then, we'll work on speed afterwards. So, that's fine. I don't think anybody else has really got much to do here. Scarlet's got some skill points we can spend. Uh what should we do with this task transition? This is all she does is restock stuff and clean. That's all she does. Uh so she doesn't really need to do a lot of other stuff to be honest.
Um yeah, that's that's her entire entire working life is that basically and that that's all she does. Uh so we'll just leave it like that. She got one skill point to spend, but I'll just leave it for now. May if she wants retraining at some point, we can we can do that, can't we? Probably should have spent one less actually, cuz then I wouldn't have to pay her so much.
She's going to be a $260 an hour to keep her good. You could keep her in neutral.
She' probably fine, wouldn't she? I like to keep them good. All right, Aria's got a few points to spend as well.
Uh, so I think we'll keep going. She generally she's maxed out on service. So task transition and movement speed. Yeah, we'll just whack you up like that. So you're going to cost me about $3 as well now or two probably about 280 290.

And so is Chloe who wanted 320 to make her good. She's on the highest salary other than Isaac. Isabella, even though she's maxed out skill-wise because she doesn't serve drinks, she's happier have a few cents left.
Right, everybody's gone home without saying goodbye. How rude. I pay their salaries and they don't even put their head in to say bye.
Unreal. Yes. So, hopefully the update will have gone live and then we can play around with the new staff system. Uh hopefully things are a bit cheaper and we can expand and do sort of stuff like that in the next one. But uh we will see. Maybe not. We can just carry on as we are if that is the case. And maybe if if that is the case, I'll try and I'll put a oven here and maybe a fridge or something now. We can start to afford it and we'll just have pizzas being made here or something temporarily until we expand further. Anyway, that will do today's video.
