Today I am stuffing our March paycheck number three. For those of you who are new to my channel, my husband and I are both retired from the military after 30 years of service and after retirement, we both decided to work fulltime in our second careers. We are debtree except for our mortgage. However, we are on a journey to pay off our mortgage by the end of 2028.
Today, we are stuffing $6,710 and our cash envelopes, scing funds, and savings challenges all in one video. And cash envelopes covers our everyday expenses like gas, groceries, household supplies, and personal spending. So, we will start with gas. And as always, I am not going to go in the order of the tracker. I am going to go in the order of the envelope that I am stuffing. And once again, we're going to start with gas. And gas will receive $150.

And these are our high priority funds, things that we know that we have to stay on top of like home maintenance, emergency funds, and car maintenance.
So, we are going to start with our home emergency funds. And I do want to mention that on the front of each of my envelopes, we have a goal amount. So when we reach this goal amount, we will continue to add to our envelopes because everything is so expensive today, we may not add as much as we are adding now to reach that goal, but we will continue to fund our syncing funds.
So today, our home emergency funds will receive $300 and the goal for our home emergency funds is $50,000.
And I do want to mention that we have placeholders in our emergency funds or in these envelopes. And these placeholders, they represent the money that we have in our bank account. I purchased these placeholders from Amazon. I put stickers because some of it look like the real deal and I don't want to make a mistake and take it back to the bank. And these placeholders I make in my Etsy shop. And my Etsy shop is listed in my description box below.

And today we are going to start with our vacation which is one of my favorite binders. And once again, on the front of each of my envelopes, we have a goal amount. But for my vacation envelope, we do not have a goal amount. We will stuff as much as we can when we can, so we can do the things that we enjoy doing. And this envelope, vacation, cover our flight and hotel, two of the most expensive things when you travel. So today, vacation will receive $500.

Next is airport and the goal is 150. And this envelope cover our food, drinks, and snacks while we're waiting to board our flight. And it will receive $6.

And now we are moving into our savings challenges which are fun and creative ways to save money. And they motivate me. Well, at least they keep me motivated and excited to see how much we can put aside each pay period. And if you have been following me for a minute, you know that majority of this money is going to go straight towards our mortgage payoff goal. So today I am going to start with our girl get your money straight $10,000 savings challenge. So I have this notebook here. Each pay period when I go through my savings challenges I annotate how much I am going to add for each pay period. So, for this pay period, I am adding $2,120.
For my girl, get your money straight, $10,000 savings challenge. Today, we're adding $340.
So, this savings challenge is available in my Etsy shop in 1,500, 5,000, and 10,000. And the link is in my description box below. I have these chips as well because if you anything like me, I like to keep things as stressfree as possible. Each pay period I pull so many chips. I add up the numbers on those chips and then that is how I determine how much I am going to add to my savings challenge. So this savings challenge has 10 sections. Each section is an envelope to hold your money. It has this elastic band to keep your money secured. So today I am going to start with section one. Section one will receive a total of let's see $60.
So, I am going to color in 25 and 35.
And then I am going to add the cash.
You know what? I need to put on my glasses.

You can make your own. One month ahead, birthday, car maintenance, Christmas, new car, new home, home maintenance, travel, and 52 weeks. So, if you save the emergency funds at one through $100, you can save a little over $15,000.
