The video provides a sobering look at the cold calculus of squad management, where fiscal efficiency and immediate output dictate a player's survival. It captures the inevitable friction that occurs when a club’s meritocratic demands clash with the reality of declining performance.

Should Nuno Replace Rob?, Doherty Drama & Hwang Bites Back!Added:
Hello everyone. So, we're here again with another news video. It's quite a bit of drama that's come out of the back the reaction I guess to the Burnley game. Um, it's so hot ain't it?
It's so hot. I've been sat like out all day. Burnt all my skin. But thought I'd get one of these videos out cuz as I say, there's a lot going on. So, should should Nuna replace Rob's going to be one thing I want to talk about the end cuz Rob has been getting absolute pelters after that Burnley game. So, I'll talk about that. Also, Matt Doati has a bit of drama going on with him. It looks like his future at Wolves is in doubt. And Hangi Chan bites back at the fans. So, we'll talk about that, too.
Now, first of all, before I get on to those topics, Wolves, they snuck it in there. They kept it on the low. They did it at the training ground. They actually did an end of season awards, believe it or not. Nobody deserved awards after this this season cuz it's been a disgrace, let's be honest. But Santi Bueno got support as players of the season. He was my vote to be fair, so I don't mind that. Xiao Gome has got players player of the season and men's community player of the season and Hugo Bueno got goal of the season for his strike against Arsenal in the 2-2 draw.
Now the express star also spoke uh to Rob Edwards obviously in and around the game Burnley game and he's pretty much confirmed that Xiao Gomez Sar and Huangi Chan will be leaving. Um we all we already knew about Xiao Gomez anyway obviously with the asthlet coming interest he weren't in the squad at all s got very emotional didn't he after the Burning game went up to the O and he was crying he's actually crying so we know he's pretty much going but we've spoke about that before of his comments to the zone Portugal and Hangi Chan plenty of stories about him leaving an interest in him but we didn't know for sure but Rob did actually speak about it and uh yeah he said he was asked about Hangi Chan and he said uh he was a bit emotional at the end and we'll see what happens for him going forward. But Channy is someone that's given absolutely everything today and always for us and for the football club. He always works extremely hard so we'll see what happens with him going forward. But I thought it was another strong performance for him today. I disagree though. thought Hang was he's probably better than he usually is, but there was one moment first half where he like backed out of a 50/50 tackle and it was embarrassing to see like he just completely fanned out the tackle and then Burnley made a promising attack from it.
He just it's weird of Huang cuz he literally signed at the start of the decline, didn't he? He signed as Bruno Large come in and famously Jeff X she wanted to sign Huangi Chan when Nuno as manager but Nuno didn't want Hangi Chan and then obviously as soon as Bruno Large come in Jeff was like you're having him. So he started off okay for walls the knees had some purple patches as we spoke about before but for the majority to put it quite frankly he's been a bit of a disgrace in my opinion with his performances and his effort levels and for the amount of money he's been on since he's been here and the amount of big contracts he's had and been rewarded with his return has been pathetic and I think he's lived off his celebrity status most of the time uh being obviously a South Korean international and being hugely famous over there and getting all tourist attraction in. So I think that's why well Jeff she in particular loved that stuff. So there was also rumors, wasn't there over the years that managers had to play Wang from the start cuz people can't understand that every manager that's had him has started Wang over the years which is mind-blowing to most Wolves fans seeing his performances so inconsistent. One in like 10 games he'll have a good game. But uh yeah, so maybe the managers, if that's not true, that myth, maybe the managers see him in training and he's actually really good.
But yeah, as we know, as fans looking in and watching on the pitch, he's been nowhere near consistent enough. He's had a few good moments. I remember his couple of goals at Brenford away, we beat him 4-1 and things like that and his winner against City. He got the gold against Man City, didn't he under Gary O'Neal. Um, but he's actually bit back a bit. Wangi Chan, he actually posted an Instagram story. He's put proud and honored to reach 150 appearances for this club. And then he put in a little writing at the bottom, haters know they love me. PS, thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. So Hang sees the criticism, players see everything.
So with social media these days, players see everything, even if they try not to.
Yeah. So, but a bit of a positive note, I briefly mentioned it in my video after the Burnley game, my reaction. Jerome Abby made history. I briefly mentioned it yesterday, but at 16 years, 8 months, and 8 days, he becomes the youngest ever Wolves Premier League player.
Congratulations. Yeah, brilliant. Walls put a post on as well congratulating him. and uh he's he's w and he's actually the second youngest player in the club's history to play which is obviously another great honor for him.
Um he was actually, if you remember, he was pulled out of school uh back in February of this year to play against Bournemouth, but he didn't actually come on. He was just on the bench, but against Burnley, he did come on and look, he didn't look I don't think he looked out of place really. Had a few nice touches. I remember he uh he was offside on the one where he laid out wide to Pedro Lemur. But yeah, he's a defensive midfielder funnily enough. So that's why he was in the squad because obviously Jiao Gomez, Belgard weren't there. And I thought he did okay. Oh my god, I'm sweating. Can you see? Bloody hell. Uh anyway, let's get on to the Matt Doaty stuff. So Doy obviously hasn't made a match day squad the last few games. There there is an option for Wolves to give him an extension, a one-year extension to his contract, which does run out this summer. As we know, he's been at Wolves for 13 years on and off. An incredible player at his peak under Nuno and an incredible player throughout the years in general since he signed back in the day. Uh you know, he's been a right wing back, he's been a normal right back, he's played left back for a spell uh back in the day, which was a great era for him. And then of course he returned on a free after after leaving Atletico Madrid. And now he has deleted every single post off his Instagram of Walls. Even the stuff you know back in the day, the good stuff.
He's kept his Spurs and Atletico stuff on there in Ireland, but he's deleted everything and he's took Walls out of his bio. So something's gone down there.
I think he's probably found out he won't be either getting a good send off and he probably won't be getting a new contract and won't be playing Wolves next season.
I'm surprised with this. I thought they'd give him the extension because they want experience and he'd be a good player to have on the bench and he knows the championship well, but yeah, and there's reports that yeah, they're not going to offer him the new deal. So, pretty disgusting from the club to treat him like this. He's he's going to be another along with like Xiao Matinho, you can put Ra in there, Willie Boly, a few others that were great servants of the club that just didn't get a great send off by the club at all. Um, and we're doing it again here. So, poor really. very very poor if he doesn't sign a new deal and that's the last we see of him cuz he just he deserves more though in my opinion for what he's done for this club. So we'll see what happens with that one. But it looks like he won't be a Wolves player next season.
Just quickly as well Armstrong's been talking. Adam Armstrong obviously scored from the penalty spot against Burnley and it's a big season for him next season. we signed him to bang goals in in the Championship to help us get back up. And he said on the rebuild for next season, he said, "We have to take some time off now and we have to be raring to go when we get back because this club belongs in the Premier League, I'll be doing everything to try and get us back there with Andre signing and hopefully we'll see a few changes. So, we'll take preseason head on and we'll go again."
So, he's got the right attitude.
Armstrong. I see some people are really critical of him, but I just think he's had such a lack of service being up front on his own most of the time throughout the second half of this season. That's we haven't seen the best of him. If if we're on the front foot a lot more next season in the Championship and are attacking more and create more chances, you'll see the best of him, particularly at a lower level, too, because obviously famously has struggled in the Premier League in general, not just with Wolves. But is Rob Edwards the right man to set us up as a direct playing club like to make chances and you know benefit the likes of Armstrong?
People think not. People have pointed out that we only had was it 30% possession against Burnley even in the first half when we had the much better chances and hit them on the counterattack really well. Burnley still had all the ball despite not creating much the first half but second half they created a lot and maybe could have won it. We could have won it too. We had our own chances. Of course, Mane was frustrating as we spoke about. Um, but the Wolves fans were fuming with Rob Edwards. And look, we know he's going to be here in the dugout most likely. Um, but the question is, talk sport put out breaking news. Nuno Esprito Santo is going to be sacked by West Ham and there's been all these stories being coming out. There's been like hit pieces on Nuno about him falling out with the coaching staff, banishing Ward Prowse.
He's having he's having a bit of a hit job on him at the moment, Nuno. So, he's definitely going to be leaving. But the question is, Nuno sacking, would you have him in? Would you, if you were Nathan Shei, I know Wolves fans love Nuno, but if you was advising Nathan Shei, would you say to him, "Sack Rob Edward was look what we've been watching. He's not creating nothing."
Burnley played us off the park. Well, played us off the park. They had all the ball. They had more possession. Are we just going to be this sit back, try and be defensively sound, hit teams on the break, but with no effect under Rob? Like, we've known when we do that. there was like a an identity and we knew exactly what each player was going to do and it was effective, wasn't it? With Rob, it hardly feels like there's a game plan there. And to make it worse with Rob, his in-game management and his tactical substitutions are very questionable. But in his defense, what Rob's got is it's not his squad. It's a poor squad. It's one of the worst Premier League teams of all time. It's the worst Wolves Premier League of all time because the recruitment and we made ourselves weaker in the January window. So that's what Rob's got to lean on. So the people backing Rob say that blame Fosen. Blame the recruitment team from the summer.
Don't blame Rob. Pep Guardiola wouldn't have got us up being on two points when if he'd have joined when Rob did. So I personally would love Nuno back. I think it's a dream. I think he'd get all the fans on side and I think if he had enough of a you know say in the recruitment and Uncle George would help him out again. And I think we'd have more chance of storming the championship than we will having Rob Edwards in the dugout. Purely because I think Nuno is a better manager and purely because I think half the fan base, maybe more and not are and not convinced by Rob Edwards, which I think is a problem.
I've said million times I want Rob to do well. But for all the reasons I've just said, I think I would take Nuno over Rob Edwards. So interesting. Very interesting. If they do keep Rob Edwards, it's a gamble because if we have him as manager and then we do all this recruitment and then we start off bad and sack him after 10 games, it's a risk. Really is a risk and then we're back to square one and we probably won't gain promotion next season if that happens. So, huge times, huge times. But please like the video everyone. Please subscribe. Really appreciate the support. Please comment your thoughts down below. I love interacting with it.
And I'm going to go and melt more in the sun. Cheers everyone.
