Modern British cultural institutions, particularly the England national football team and its manager Gareth Southgate, have been transformed into vehicles for promoting liberal values of diversity, inclusivity, and emotional openness, which critics argue represent a departure from traditional English identity and serve as tools for state propaganda that suppress authentic national identity in favor of a constructed, non-ethnic identity based on openness and tolerance.

Why Gareth Southgate is a Sh*tlib IconAdded:
Hello everyone. A subscriber over on the Substack asked me if I was going to cover Gareth Southgate and the movies about him. For any international viewers, Gareth Southgate was the England manager, England football manager. Now, I wasn't really going to say anything because it's all been said before and it's pretty cliche, but I think there is something original to add here. First of all, I think we all have mixed feelings towards the World Cup and will do when it starts in a few weeks time. In one sense, it's always nice to watch the nations of the world compete.
And while sport is always fun, in another side, it's increasingly cringe-worthy because it's one of the few times where patriotism and national identity is allowed, but that's because it's dumped heavily uh in liberal prior.
While the actual England fans may well have a bit more of a blood and thunder about them, the actual team itself has to be presented as um symbolic of modern England. you know, diverse, uh, inclusive, kind and tolerant. That's what sums up English identity rather than anything root level, uh, physical or spiritual.
And this, uh, for many reasons is why Gareth Southgate is such a hero of the liberals really. It's why they write plays about him and movies about him.
Now, I've never been that impressed by Gareth Southgate as a man. He he's the typical sort of um BBC type. There's a bit of Louis Thu in there, a bit of Gary Lineka, an ostensible gentleness which belies a sort of internal conformity.
I don't really see Gareth Southgate as someone with his own opinions, more as someone who takes on the elite opinions of the age and conforms to them. And for that reason, well, they turn him into some sort of icon. I'll be completely honest here and say I never saw the play or the upcoming movie about Gareth Southgate. I think it's actually been released. I think it's called Dear England. But let me hazard a guess. And anybody who has seen it, do let me know if I'm wrong in the comments. But as always with these things, you can pretty much tell what it's going to be about.
It's going to be about liberal conceptions of national identity, isn't it? Um the English football team and Southgate's management of it becomes a sort of mirror uh for Kier Stalmer's view of England. You know, it's um postrexit. It's things to do with uh embarrassment, to do with our brutal and cruel future uh sorry, past of of of evil English people. But now we have hope and pride in what the real England is, which is diverse and kind. Of course, we'll also have explorations into uh toxic masculinity, quote unquote. I'm sure Gareth will lead the guys in being open about their emotions and crying on each other's shoulders and so on. There'll also be conversations about past trauma, which may riff on Southgate's own career. He's famous England, of course, for missing a penalty in Euro 96. But he bravely got over it to lead England, not to glory in a actual sporting sense, but glory in a shared national and cultural sense, which throws old England in the dustpin of history, and it rises from the the flames like a phoenix with a new diverse identity, which is real success in real modern Britain. So all very BBC, all very cliche. And again, this is exactly why they're going to be pushing it before the World Cup, because this is what you're supposed to believe. I've also seen that Gareth Southgate himself uh is doing a new BBC documentary.
Surprise, surprise. And he's going to examine the crisis facing young men and boys uh in said documentary. Now, I think we all know what's coming here as well. You don't have to watch it to guess what it's going to be like. He'll travel up and down the country speaking to various young lads from probably uh underprivileged backgrounds and he'll hear about, you know, mental health struggles they have, how other lads push them around for their supposed mental health issues. Uh maybe speak to some black lads who've uh endured quote unquote racism, even though there are barely any whites in the areas they live. Uh and if you do hear from the whites, it's not exactly nice for them either. and you know, mental health complaints and the rest of it, all the cliches of modernity. Now, I'm sure there are some problems in there somewhere, but we all know the underlying subtext of Gareth Southgate's documentary will be you need to be a conformist liberal to be healthy and well. And that will ignore the fundamental point, the fundamental disease that England suffers from at the moment in that it's trying to force men to be goody two shoes little liberals that's causing the problems anyway. It's against their very nature. They have a lack of co coherent national and cultural and spiritual and biological identity and what England was has been ripped away from them. And they're supposed to turn into these non-p people, these Louis Theorus, these Gary Lkers, these Gareth Southgates who are all themselves completely imbued in an impossible privilege for us to even understand. Millions upon millions of pounds are thrown at these people while they lecture us about what being a real man is, how it's something to do with crying and um loving black people. Now, like I say, I'm sure there are problems therein with lads having a tough time, but as always, this sort of liberalism will ultimately make things worse rather than better. Now, this is a classic example of why English identity is so twisted, so contorted in the modern era, why many of us have an ambivalence towards the England football team. In some senses, yes, you're always going to watch. You're always going to support your team. But in another sense, it's so obvious that the England football team, like all cultural institutions, has been taken over by the reigning powers and really become just another arm of the state apparatus. Another form through which the state propaganda can be hammered at you. Another way in which your love for your country can be manipulated into the liberal priors of the age. And you don't really have to dig very deep to start to see uh the contradictions of this. It harks back to the same dynamic that's in all of the cultural institutions. I've spoken about it a lot on this channel. The general idea in modern English, modern British, modern European culture, I'm sure the French and the Spanish and the Dutch and so on have to go through this as well, is that your identity uh within your nation is based upon you being open.
Really, it's based upon you being translucent. You're nothing. You're interchangeable, but you welcome things that are fixed. You know, you welcome the gay, the Muslim, the other racial identity, black or Indian or whatever else. But you yourself, you're nothing.
And if you do lay claim to an identity, you're being evil. You're being disgusting. And they've kind of gone out, it's gone out of fashion to call you that directly. What you get now is more of the Louis Thu, the Gareth Southgates, the Gary Lkers, and they'll sort of question you in this ostensibly kind way. But like I say, beneath it is always the subtext that you're somehow inhuman. You've somehow lost yourself.
And to be a real person, you must be a non-person, an unperson like them. Of course, in reality, it's exactly the other way around. To be truly human, you need to really represent and let yourself be in your true depth, which works on varying levels from the physical identity of your ethnic group right down into your cultural identity, your spiritual lineage as a people both national, nationally, continentally, and ultimately spiritually on the higher level. In essence, the powers that be know that when it comes to football, the people of England, like the people of France or Germany or wherever else have an innate love for their nation. Their heart is tied to their nation. And without really many actual ways to express that love on a profound level, sport becomes one of the key conduits.
And with that captive market, the liberal system starts to manipulate that love and segue it into really subversive liberal values. You're supposed to think it's wonderful these days that gays can adopt children and get married. You're supposed to think it's absolutely wonderful, too, that London has a Muslim mayor who, by the way, recently was in full Muslim garb in Mecca talking about our universal humanity. The irony being, of course, that you're not allowed in Mecca, but you're supposed to overlook that exclusion for them, but not for you. Now, of course, I don't mind that the Muslims have an exclusive identity, that they don't allow non-Muslims into Mecca. That's absolutely fine. They have something sacred. It's in their lands.
It's their own tradition. No problem with that at all. The problem I have is that the reality of identity itself is exclusive by nature. That doesn't mean hateful as our liberal friends are so eager to tell us. It just means that certain things make certain people unique. And if you don't recognize that, your culture, your civilization, your people will die. It's vain, which gives it vitality and life will be cut and split. This is exactly what we're witnessing in the West at the moment.
and it's egged on by the powers that be which are now funneling that energy of darkness into beloved cultural institutions in varying forms but especially in this instance the England national football team. Now I know that Gareth Southgate won't be aware of things on this level. Let's be honest, he's just a bit of a midwit. But the powers that be want to keep us away from any form of identity because as soon as you connect with it, you realize, hang on, I've always had an identity. I'm part of something higher and I'm supposed to have none while we welcome the identities of the world which by the way I celebrate. I just believe that Europeans deserve their own identities and their own homelands. However, again when you make that realization you start to realize the world is actually hypocritical.
It's unfair. We found recently in the past couple of months Finn Bar Sullivan and more recently Henry Novak, two lads murdered by new arrivals were supposed to forget these things. just pretend they never happen all the time. The liberal system constantly tries to convince us that actual identity is evil, that you actually belong to something, that you are something unique is pure disgusting. Then this is really the subtext of the documentaries, plays, and movies about Gareth Southgate.
Whether he's aware of it or not, the subtext is always to say, "If you have a unique identity, you're sick. You're evil. You're potentially even mentally ill. You're creating a dark, disturbing, disgusting world." And I'm sure there are lower shadow expressions of identity. There's no doubt about that.
But there is also the higher expression of identity which is England, which is Britain, which is Europe, which is who we are as a people. And without that, we will surely die. Anyway, friends, these are my thoughts on the above. Do let me know what you think down below. As always, there are links in the description if you're interested.
