The WNBA's attempt to promote equity by spreading credit to multiple players has failed because mainstream audiences primarily follow star players like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, as evidenced by ratings data showing Clark's games drawing 700,000+ viewers while other teams struggle to attract audiences, creating a sustainability problem where the league relies too heavily on individual stars rather than building broad fan engagement across the league.

WNBA Ratings MAJOR CRASH in Games without Caitlin ClarkAdded:
They keep trying to diminish her. The wanker spankers on social media, they keep trying to give her princess crown to their self-proclaimed queen, Angel Ree. The mainstream media, they try to credit the unknown players in this dump of a league for elevating the WNBA into the mainstream. This is an equity league. Pretend basketball is for everyone. People aren't just watching Caitlyn Clark. They are watching Alicia Gray, Alyssa Thomas, a FUD.
Who?
Who?
And who?
AZ Fud, the Makea-Wish player, the young woman that was drafted by the Dallas Wankers to appease her future wife, Paige Beckers.
You expect me to believe that people are watching the WNBA because of her?
When I was a kid, I used to watch her father Elmer chase Bug's Bunny. But Uncle Casey has absolutely no interest in watching the lesser known FUD play basketball. The WNBA and their pretend friends in the mainstream media. They can pretend all they want that this is an equity league. They can pretend that unknown players are equally responsible for elevating this turd. They can pretend that Paige Buckner is on the same level as Caitlyn Clark. Remember last month when the media was celebrating Paige and the Dallas Wankers? Have you seen ticket sales in Dallas? Oh my stars. Ticket sales have increased by 220%.
OMG LGBTQY.
Tickets for the Wankers are hot, hot, hot.
As of today, the Dallas Wankers rank dead last in attendance. Now, technically, the Washington Mythicals rank last, but they play their home games inside of a walk-in closet, so their attendance number is naturally lower than the rest of the league. But the Mythicals, they are packing their closet to maximum capacity. Meanwhile, the Civic Center in Dallas is filled to about 60% capacity. Yes, tickets initially increased by 220%.
But what that really means is the Dallas Wankers went from having no one buying tickets to having 220 people willing to buy tickets, most of which have the last name of either Beckers or FUD.
Look, I understand why the WNBA is trying to create new stars. Even though equity is a myth, I understand why they're trying to create the perception that their league is filled with marketable players. In order for Pretend Basketball to be sustainable long-term, you can't be 100% reliant on one player.
Michael Jordan gets all the credit and rightfully so for globalizing the NBA in the 90s. But the truth is the NBA had plenty of star players.
Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, a young Kobe and Shaq, Penny Hardway. In the WNBA, you have Caitlyn Clark, Angel Reese, and no one gives a [ __ ] about anyone else. And that's not my opinion.
You don't have to take my word for it because the television ratings show that you don't give a [ __ ] about anyone else.

Opening game of the season. Caitlyn Clark against the Dallas Wankers drew two and a half million viewers on ABC.
Uncle KC, that was not the opening game of the season. There were three highprofile games the night before on ION.
Yeah.
Yeah. You know, it's strange. I couldn't find those ratings. As a matter of fact, I am having a hard time finding a lot of WNBA ratings for nationally televised games.
I wonder why.
Remember how this same thing happened last season? It's weird. The WNBA will be on national television. They'll have games on ABC, ESPN this season, NBC, but when it comes time for their ratings to be released to the public, they just magically disappear. It's like the league chooses to flush their own turds.
The media tried to give Paige Becker's credit for the two and a half million on opening weekend. And look, Paige Beckers was definitely the best player on the court that day. Now, she has fallen drastically since, but she was the best player in that opening game. But we all know the reason that two and a half million people tuned in. It was to see the immaculate return of the Great White Hope. How do I know that?
because the WNBA hasn't come anywhere close to matching that number since couple weeks ago.
The WNBA returned to NBC for the first time since 2002. Now, according to the mainstream media, NBC was desperate for the return of the WNBA. For 24 years, NBC has been begging for this exciting action. Now that the WNBA is back on the peacock, NBC is over the moon.
The truth is, the only reason, and I mean the only reason, NBC is once again broadcasting pretend basketball is because Adam Silver forced the WNBA onto the network. If NBC wanted the NBA All-Star game, if NBC wanted the NBA regular season along with the playoffs, the Western Conference Finals, and eventually the NBA Finals, they had to agree to broadcast the WNBA. Otherwise, NBC would be broadcasting just about anything else. The Las Vegas Anonymous Faces and the Atlanta Dreamers on NBC, 1.2 million viewers. You always make fun of Asia Wilson, but I told you she was a huge star.
Calm down, Tiger. AJ Wilson was not responsible for that number. Angel Reese was responsible for drawing 1.2 million on NBC. How do I know?
So far this season, USA Network is averaging 518,000 viewers for WNBA games. Now, WWE Smackdown, a show featuring oiled up dudes wearing incredibly tight shorts, laying something called a Smackdown on another man's ass. Last week, Simulated Combat drew 1.2 million on USA. As you guys know, this is a very fair comparison.
The WWE features pretend fights. The WNBA features pretend basketball. The only reason the WNBA's average on USA is even this high is because Caitlyn Clark drew almost 700,000 viewers on her only game on USA Network. Every other team is barely drawing flies to a fresh turd.
The Las Vegas Anonymous faces the Phoenix Masculines. AJ Wilson, best player in the league. AJ Wilson, the supposed superstar, the icon of icons.
343,000 viewers. The Dallas Wankers, the Chicago Bravado, Paige Beckers, and whoever the hell plays for the bravado. 320,000 viewers. Couple of weeks ago, Amazon Prime featured an exciting WNBA double header. As expected, it was a double dose of huge embarrassing failure. The Minnesota Linkers versus the Dallas Wankers, the New York Lesbians against the Portland Aspire. 529,000 viewers. I would share more of these ratings with you guys, but they're not available. I couldn't find ratings for a single game on ION. The only ratings I could find for ION was Caitlyn Clark's preseason game on the network, which drew 743,000.
Caitlyn Clark in the preeason is outdrawing everyone else in the regular season.
Right now, the WNBA has a potential problem with the Caitlyn Clark fan base.
There is building animosity between the fan base and the Fever organization.
Caitlyn Clark fans are accusing the Fever of essentially sabotaging Caitlyn Clark. Now whether or not it's true, I don't know. But as is often the case, the perception is the only thing that matters. Me personally, I don't understand why the Indiana Fever would sabotage their only star. We saw this exact same thing last year in the NFL.
Remember when Cryan Ryan Clark, remember when a lot of these so-called analysts were claiming that the Cleveland Browns were sabotaging Shador Sanders? Kevin Stfansky was literally coaching for his job. Why in the hell would he sacrifice his career by sabotaging a fifth round draft pick?
I look at this situation between Caitlyn Clark fans and the Fever organization through the same perspective. Full transparency, I do not follow the dayto-day with the Indiana Fever. I see the claims. I know fans think that Stephanie White hates Caitlyn Clark.
They were upset that the Fever drafted some unknown point guard in the first round. Again, whether or not their claims are legitimate, I don't know. I don't know why a head coach would sabotage her star player, her best player. I don't know why an organization would diminish their only valuable asset. Maybe it's true, maybe it's not, but the perception is the only thing that matters. And the perception is driving down attendance at home games in Indiana. Every Caitlyn Clark game is on national television.
They've played six games so far this season. I can only find ratings for two.
Now, that doesn't mean they're not out there. That's just all I could find.
Either way, the fracture is not good for the WNBA. You have networks paying more money than ever to broadcast the league.
Salaries have increased exponentially.
And you're not only relying on Caitlyn Clark to deliver, you are relying on her fan base to remain engaged. Kind of hard to keep them engaged when they're constantly pissed off.
Sound off in the comments below. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
