This video demonstrates the importance of proper dental and orthopedic care through personal experiences: Deborah shares her journey of treating a severe toothache that required temporary fillings and potential root canal assessment, and her treatment for Haglund's deformity (heel bone inflammation) using prednisone and ibuprofen, highlighting how appropriate medical interventions can effectively resolve health issues when followed correctly.

I FEEL LIKE A MILLION BUCKSAdded:
Hi everyone, this is Deborah. Good morning. I'm in my pajamas.
I've been up all night and I said, "What the hell? I might as well keep them on."
Um but >> [clears throat] >> I feel like a million bucks and I'm going to tell you why.
Uh last month and a half, I didn't do too many videos because I had this bad toothache up here.
Uh and I just didn't want to or didn't have the money, whatever the reason. Don't never let your teeth go like I did because for a solid month, I was packing it with um the tooth meds that you get.
Cloves works also.
So every night, I had to doctor this cavity. So I finally went to the dentist 3 weeks ago. He put in a temporary filling. He goes, "I think you may have to have a root canal. That's why I'm not going to put in a permanent filling. I want to make sure that your root is good." He said it may heal itself. Um he says, "In between this time, the next time I see you, you've got to report back to me if you're in severe pain.
That means that just doing a filling is not going to work. You're going to probably need a root canal or have it extracted." And he did tell me that when you have to have your tooth extracted, they have to um numb you in the roof of your mouth, which he said was extremely painful.
That scared me to death. So I prayed for the whole 2 weeks I had this temporary filling.
So when I went back to him 3 weeks later, cuz he's a very wonderful dentist.
Um he said, "You're good to go. I'm going to fill your tooth. I think you're fine.
And I I've always had this fear of dentists because I felt like I lived in a dentist chair all my life. At 6 years old, I had a tooth removed in Winchester.
About when I was Yeah, when I was 6. And I'm walking down to Winchester Hospital to get my tonsils out. I mean, I'm strong. I mean, I remember going through a whole box of uh tissues.
But then I got braces, and then I had a lot of work done in the last 40 years.
But um So, I am very grateful. I feel like a million bucks. He put a filling in. He did give me a lot of Novocain shots. So, it was very sensitive. Um Yeah, and I felt I found out when they shoot you with Novocain, it's a liquid, and it does kind of open up the nerves and the the tissue. So, it's it's not sore anymore, but it was sore for the last couple days. So, that is a blessing. And then this same dentist found me a specialist who will remove this broken screw in my jaw.
But I couldn't get an appointment till October. So, that's okay cuz I'll have to just save my money until October. [laughter] But um Now, about my Haglund's deformity, if you go back and do a search on my video, you will see what it is.
Uh I think it was from wearing improper shoes. I did not know that my feet have growed. I'd always been in a size 9. All of a sudden, I said, I better go up to a 9 and 1/2. Well, I didn't know it at the time. I had this bone on the back of my heel, which was protruding, and I didn't know. I also lost my toenail uh working at Belk's for 3 days.
Uh it was brutal. I was working 8 hours.
I can't work 8 hours, maybe four.
But that's another story that I've already been into on this channel. So, finally went to an orthopedic surgeon and he was so so polite and he listened to me and they x-rayed my heel three different ways and the inflammation on the back of that bone that had started on my heel.
That was that much inflammation.
So, he put me on prednisone, which I don't like to be on because it keeps me up all night. It's a wonder I'm even talking.
I did not go to sleep this morning till 8:00 and then woke up at 12:00. So, I am I am living off of 4 hours of sleep, people.
So, I'm on prednisone for 6 days and I have to take it like the package says.
Then he says, "After the prednisone finishes, then you go on 800 mg twice a day of ibuprofen." Well, I only take 200 mg of ibuprofen as needed, but 800 is a lot for me because people, you got to protect your liver, right?
So, I was touching my heel last night and it doesn't hurt at all.
I can't imagine what a wonder drug that the methyl dose pack is. I've always used it when I get poison ivy. I'm very susceptible to poison ivy. So, I just feel like a million bucks.
And for those of you, you know who you are, who have helped me, thank you so very much.
Um it's you know, I'm already living with a little bit of pain, but to compound it with a toothache and then uh inflammation on my heel. The inflammation is now gone down to nothing.
It's like unbelievable the things that prednisone does.
Well, thanks for watching. Bye.
