What Could It Be..? Zebec ZBCN UpdateAdded:
What could it be? Why are a lot of people asking me this? Well, it's because near the end of this month, there's actually going to be an announcement in regard to a new partnership when it comes to Zebec. But, we don't know what it is yet as of right now. So, yes, when it comes to Zebec, the pullback has been around 6 and 1/2% in the past 24 hours along with the whole space just generally not doing the best. But, even still despite that, I'm going to discuss what those partnerships could maybe be.
Even though nothing I say is financial advice and even though I'm not telling anyone to do anything. So, so far, we do know some clues. Simon, the CEO of Zebec, said that near the end of this month, there's going to be a major announcement, so to speak, in regard to a European bank that's going to be announcing a major partnership when it comes to Zebec. But, the thing is this partnership right here is actually going to have something to do with the partnership that Zebec and Stellar had.
So, it's actually going to mark the first time ever we're seeing any results, basically, in regard to the Zebec and Stellar partnership. However, there are two banks that I want to narrow down because the first clue that is, again, we do know that the bank is based in Europe. That's what Simon said.
So, I'm going to narrow it down to two.
Now, the first one I want to talk about is Deutsche Bank, which of course is in Germany. But, the reason why I'm actually kind of speculating this might be the case as my first option is because first of all, we already know that All Unity, it had a partnership with Zebec in the past. We do know that. And All Unity is a joint venture, and Deutsche Bank is actually one of the you know, I guess entities that formed that joint venture, right? So, that could very well be a clue when it comes to Zebec. It would kind of make sense, in my opinion, if let's say you know, again, considering the ties that Deutsche Bank has with All Unity and seeing the partnership that all unity already had with Zebec. If let's say that is the major European bank that's going to be announcing the partnership with Zebec near the end of this month, that wouldn't surprise me. And if that is even the case, it would be a major victory actually when it comes to Zebec.
But we don't know yet as of right now.
So that's my first option. But the second option is also something that could very well, I think, make sense as well.
Which is something called Societe Generale. Now, I'm sure I'm pronouncing it not correctly because it's like Societe but with a e at the back. But then the e has like, you know, that sign to indicate like you have to raise your tone like that. So Societe Generale, it's based in France.
But besides that, they have a division called SG Forge, right? And basically that division right there is really focused on like kind of the blockchain space if I were even want to put it that way.
But besides that, we already know that when it comes to SG Forge, right? They actually allegedly issued one of the first Euro stable coins that was MICA compliant. It was called EURCB.
But it actually expanded to Stellar. And again, this kind of makes sense a little bit because if we take a look at Stellar, of course Zebec already announced a partnership when it comes to that. So if it's Societe Generale, it would kind of make sense in my opinion as well. And actually someone in the comment section in one of my previous videos, if I'm not mistaken, his name is D Chambers and he actually kind of hinted at this.
And yeah, you know, I think it's pretty cool if this is actually the case.
So again, my top two, I guess, picks as of right now could very well either be Deutsche Bank or Societe Generale, in which case again, if it's either the two, that'd be really impressive. But some other runner-ups could probably be, I would say maybe, you know, BBVA. That one is based in Spain, so that would be pretty massive if that was the case.
You know, that's a little bit of a I guess far stretch considering I haven't really seen much ties when it comes to that in regard to anything related to I guess Zebec in a way.
But, you know, who knows? It could very well be that case.
Or maybe Santander. We don't know, right? In this case there's a lot of possibilities, but whatever it may be, Simon said it's going to be a large bank in Europe. So, I think that would be really cool at the end of the day.
Whatever it may be. Now, keep in mind, it would actually be pretty interesting, right? If it's let's say not Deutsche Bank or Société Générale, if let's say it's BBVA, I think that would also be something I would kind of find to be fascinating again despite the kind of lack of ties I've seen so far when it comes to Zebec. Well, it's because first of all, BBVA, we already know they're very friendly when it comes to the space. Like, they're one of the banks out there that have kind of showcased I guess this vibe where they're not so against it.
And I've actually seen the BBVA tower, right? In Mexico City. I think it's really cool, by the way.
But yeah, besides that point, it's kind of near Chapultepec Park.
But yeah, I just thought it was really awesome. So, a lot of people as of right now, they still kind of care about what this partnership could be, but on the flip side, a lot of people do care about how Zebec is having this pullback in the past 24 hours of again around 6 and 1/2%.
But my mindset isn't like 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours. That's really not my mindset anyways. So, if someone asked me, "Oh, what's going to happen to Zebec tomorrow or in 2 days or in 3 days, 4 days, whatever the case may be?" I don't know. Like, I can't control it. Like, trying to find what happens in the short term, that's so difficult.
And that's not even my style anyways.
What I'm trying to do is this. I'm trying to dollar cost average into projects that I'm a fan of basically, the ones that I like fundamentally. And I just hold and wait. It's kind of like for instance, if let's say I'm like buying real estate. Do I know what's going to happen tomorrow or 2 days from now or 3 days? No, I don't know. But I'm assuming that if I'm buying real estate, my kind of mindset is like, okay, I don't know what might happen next week or in 2 weeks, but it's kind of like maybe in a couple years it might appreciate. That's just kind of like I have if let's say it's in the case of real estate. So when it comes to this space, it's a little bit kind of no different for me. In a sense where I don't know what could happen in a week from now or 2 weeks from now, but one thing I do know though is that usually market downturns or bear markets, they're typically not permanent. We haven't seen like a permanent bear market when it comes to the space. We also haven't seen it when it comes to the S&P 500. I'm just saying. However, even beyond that, one thing I do know though as well is that when it comes to the space, the niche of global trade and finance historically has been very popular. It's usually a niche that kind of goes along with the ride. Other niches out there, it's kind of like 50/50. Sometimes they go along with the ride, sometimes they don't. But when it comes to global trade and finance, that is a proven niche historically that has, you know, kind of went along with the ride if let's say there is an altcoin season or a market recovery. But for quite a while, the only big players have been Ripple and Stellar. That's kind of it. There hasn't really been kind of that disruptor, right? There hasn't really been kind of the other option that a lot of people cared about. For quite a while though, everyone thought it was XDC, which I get it, you know, I'm a fan of XDC. It's pretty massive.
But as of late, there has been like more and more options that people have been considering. Case in point, like Zebec, like Onyx, like XPR, like SwiftCoin. So again, historically, we've seen the global trade and finance space have a very robust following, but we haven't seen a moment in time where Zebec, Onix, and the other competitors have really had this time to truly shine. We haven't really seen that.
So, if let's say the market were to recover, and as of right now, we're already seeing hints, and even last year we saw this as well, and even the year before, hints of projects that are focused on global trade and finance beyond Ripple and Stellar really have attention. We're already seeing hints of that, but if that hint really becomes something special, if it comes into fruition, and let's say the market really were to pick up again, and let's say this time around people really start to focus on alternatives beyond Ripple and Stellar, Zebec's waiting right there. Last year, Zebec, with really not much going on for it, reached around a 540 million market cap.
So, if let's say there was a real, actual altcoin season, and let's say projects beyond Ripple and Stellar really got that massive attention, Zebec's kind of waiting right there, and if it was able to reach around 540 million last year without an altcoin season, what could it do moving forward?
If it maybe exceeded what it did last year, it wouldn't surprise me, but we'll wait and see what happens. You know, I cannot tell what's going to happen moving forward, but one thing I do know, though, is that I'm going to stay patient with the projects that I'm a fan of.
It's like, for instance, if Warren Buffett, when he believes in a stock, like let's say through Berkshire Hathaway, what they take a look at is the fundamentals, right? And they typically dollar cost average when things are low. They typically don't dollar cost average when things are high. That's the thing. What they do is that usually they focus on the stocks that have good fundamentals, like these businesses, right? That have the good fundamentals, good cash flow, and whatnot. They focus on that, and these tend to dollar cost average when the stock prices are a little bit low.
And I kind of view it no different here.
In which case, if there is a market downturn when things are low, I want to focus on the projects that actually have the fundamentals and actually have the use case.
So, that's why I'm still dollar cost averaging once a month.
I don't know when things could pick up.
However, one thing I do know though is that I'm going to wait.
And that's pretty much it.
But nonetheless, since we're so close to the end of this month basically, I felt like making this video to talk about kind of what very well that partnership announcement could be.
But it's all purely speculation at this point. But again, my two kind of options as of right now is maybe Deutsche Bank or Societe Generale.
But we'll wait and see though.
But you know, it's not like it's so far away before we hear about that, right?
So, I guess we'll know in less than 2 weeks from now, but you know what? We'll wait and see what happens. But I'll be sure to make a video on it though when they do announce it, hopefully. So, I want to say thank you for watching and I hope you all have a very nice day. It's been real, the captain. I'm out. Peace.
Bye.
