The chemical imbalance theory of depression is a debunked concept that promotes victim mentality by suggesting depression is caused by random biological factors rather than identifiable causes within one's control; this theory removes personal accountability and prevents individuals from addressing the actual root causes of their mental health struggles, which are often related to life circumstances, trauma, or choices that can be changed.

Theo Von is crazy?Added:
starts talking about world events and freaking out. I'm like, "Oh, Jesus Christ. Like, I got to help this dude." And so, I send him things about people getting off of them. And apparently, [music] there's some doctors that specialize in getting people off of them. But here's the thing about [music] that chemical imbalance thing, that's not real. It's a bunch of BS.
Chemical imbalance, >> [music] >> it's actually a victim mentality similar to when people apply that to their race and they think that there's a boogeyman out to [music] get them always. Saying that you have a depression that you caught from the sky, a chemical imbalance [music] like COVID, now nothing's your fault. It's not my fault I'm autistic. It's not my fault I have ADHD. I have trauma. I'm depressed.
Now, you should try your best to take accountability and be in charge of your brain. People get mad. They say like, "Oh, depression is real." Obviously, it is. But you don't want to give it more energy and you don't want to believe that it's a chemical imbalance. You're not depressed for absolutely no reason.
Okay, so Theo Von, let's get back on track. Theo Von is getting pushback.
Okay. Um so, what do I How What is he asking for?
So, he's making some some pretty egregious claims in there. I mean, he goes into all It's a lot of TMI really about his other cases and his other So, Joe Rogan is saying that Theo Von is losing his mind, that he's depressed.
Same thing that Ben Shapiro is saying.
Ben Shapiro is like, "This crazy conspiracy theorist and the little gremlin." legal trouble that's going on.
>> It's the best tactic to shut somebody up when you can't beat them, call them crazy.
>> But then, he pretty much does some type of algebraic equation that that gets to a demand request somewhere around $30 million.
I think it's around 20 29,750,000 something around those damages he's saying.
Joe agrees with Theo? Wait, let's see.
Let's see. So, this is what a A lot of people are talking about. Wow, 11 million views.
Joe Rogan. And so, for context, Theo Von went on Joe Rogan's show about a week or two ago, and he talked about how Israel's invading Lebanon, and they keep using the pretext and using propaganda saying, "Oh, they're killing terrorists, but they're the terrorists." Theo Von says. He says, "Israel, they're the real terrorists."
And Joe Rogan's like, "Are you okay? Do you need more antidepressants?
Should you go into Zombieland? Maybe you're insane."
>> Theo Von's going through the exact same thing. And last time he was on the podcast, he was explaining it to me and it freaks me out because I know Theo has had conversations before like even publicly. He had a Netflix taping and and it didn't go well. It was like they actually never they shelved it. They never used it. You know, there was all these stories from people that were there saying In Joe Rogan's defense, I did see that and it was kind of hidden. Theo Von came to New York City recently and I think he was at the theater in Midtown, forget the name.
And apparently he walked out of the show and he was saying really dark things. He abandoned his bit and they got rid of the taping. And so many people who went were actually upset and they said it was a disaster. I know people that went. I know people that saw that show and they thought that Theo Von was actually really depressed.
So, I think Joe Rogan speaking about that, comedians are aware of that situation.
The people in politics aren't. And he bombed. I think he just had a kind of a breakdown. And then he was talking to the crowd and there's a video of it where he said, you know, the people were saying, "Hey, we still love you." He was saying, "Thank you. Look, I'm just I'm trying not to take my own life. That's what I'm trying to do right now." Yeah.
And like you hear stuff like that and you're just like, "Oh, Jesus Christ."
I've known too many people that I didn't think were going to kill themselves and then did.
And then he goes down these spirals.
Link the video of Theo Von on stage saying that, Sharpies. There's one of Someone did a phone video of it. So, I think people are probably upset. Yeah, this page is called Over to News. They are thinking that Rogan is saying this because of Theo Von's anti-Israel stance. Honestly, I don't think so. I think that this is misdirected outrage.
>> where he starts talking about world events and freaking out. I'm like, "Oh, Jesus Christ. Like I got to help this dude. And so I send him things about people getting off of them and apparently there are some doctors that specialize in getting people off of them, but here's the thing about that chemical imbalance thing.
That's not real. It's a bunch of BS.
Chemical imbalance, it's actually a victim mentality similar to when people apply that to their race and they think that there's a boogeyman out to get them always. Saying that you have a depression that you caught from the sky, a chemical imbalance you got like COVID.
Now nothing's your fault. It's not my fault I'm autistic. It's not my fault I have ADHD. I have trauma. I'm depressed.
Now you should try your best to take accountability and be in charge of your brain. People get mad, they say like "Oh, depression is real." Obviously it is, but you don't want to give it more energy and you don't want to believe that it's a chemical imbalance. You're not depressed for absolutely no reason.
There are extenuating circumstances, a small minority where that, you know, people have schizophrenia, but the vast majority of people depression is not just something that happens randomly, a chemical imbalance. Something is the culprit. There's a reason why. You're not unhappy for no reason. Analyze your life and you could always attribute it to something real.
They they used to think that that was what these things do, that they treated a chemical imbalance, but then recently the studies have shown that there that is not what they do.
They don't exactly know what they do.
And they kind of numb you in some sort of a way that helps some people.
Someone said "Yeah, bro, just think your way out of cancer." Good point, [ __ ] That was the dumbest point I ever heard.
Yeah, cancer is a real condition that exists and you can examine it with x-rays. It's literally it's physical.
Depression is something that you think, it's something you believe. The chemical imbalance theory, that's been debunked.
You're depressed because of things that are within your power You can change these situations. Maybe you're sad because your life is not the way it is.
A loved one passed away. Maybe you have uncovered trauma. Just saw a vid of Israelis beating a Palestinian dog named Lucy. Oh my god, I'm disgusted, bro.
A Palestinian dog named Lucy?
I did not see that. That's disgusting.
Yeah, maybe you're depressed because you're seeing these videos. Theo Von's going through the exact So, this one mega viral and they're saying he's attacked. He's not. I'm going to go in defense of Joe Rogan here. They are clipping this out of context and they are A lot of people are waking up about Israel and so they think it's because of that. I don't think Joe Rogan is completely gone.
Although he does bring on Mossad agents like Gad Saad on quite frequently. He does have Peter Thiel on his show and he said things that I disagree with, but overall, I don't think Joe Rogan is a propagandist. I I I think that this video is used out of context and I think people like what Theo Von's saying, but this is not going to help the conversation just trying to demonize people who are saying that because it's true. A lot of people just don't know.
The stand-up comedy world is aware of this stuff and that did happen at that show.
Here's a video of Theo Von, yeah.
He he is ending his show.
There's no audio here, but yeah, he's shaking his hand and he's apologizing and he's saying, "My bad.
I'm having a long month. I'm trying not to take my own life." That's the quote.
So, two things could be true. Like Israel could be evil and also Theo Von can be going through something.
I don't know what to tell you about that, man. I've having a long month. I'm trying not to take my own life. So, I just want to give you this. Okay, so I'm not even misquoting. I said, "I've had a long month. I'm trying not to take my own life." I hope Theo Von feels better.
I don't know what to tell you about that, man. I've having a long month. I'm trying not to take my own life. Okay, so everybody outraged, maybe you should have looked into that a little bit, but Theo Von, I don't think he's helping that narrative. Oh, he follows me. Oh, he follows 20,000 people, so it's no big deal. I was about to get excited in that.
So, Theo Von responds. He said, "This is mostly cap. Sad to see this kind of stuff. I'm doing great. I'm a human being, which is a rocky ride, but I'm doing fine. Thanks."
And you can guess why this got 10 million views. Everybody, okay, Dumbo's learning says, "Rogan is such a disloyal disloyal backstabbing piece of [ __ ] for saying this publicly, all because Theo had the courage to speak up."
I Knowing what we know now within context, is Rogan really trying to call him crazy or is he showing concern for his friend?
I think he's showing concern for his friend. Owen Benjamin.
And Owen Benjamin has a bias towards this because Rogan did something similar to Owen Benjamin.
Ben Owen Benjamin left LA. He left the Hollywood world. He left the stand-up scene, and he just had a great show on Tucker Carlson, and the reason why is he wanted to escape the matrix. He wanted to go and be in nature, and now he's farming. He lives on his own land. He grows tomatoes. It's good. And he creates his own things, and he's inviting more people to get away from the city life. Actually, he criticized me. He's like, "Uh why should I be in the city? Ooh, you played a song. You need to make something. You need to be playing piano with your kids." And there's a valid argument for that.
You know, I'm here amidst all this craziness and all this donya. He's actually there with his family as a father. He has a lot of children. He's teaching them how to play instruments and, you know, do jujitsu.
He's a He's a real father.
But when he did that, Joe Rogan insinuated that Owen Benjamin was crazy.
He said that he took too many drugs with Joey Diaz. He says that Joey Diaz gave him these weed edibles, and that Owen Benjamin went crazy. And he's basically saying the reason that he left LA is because Owen Benjamin went crazy from this edible trip that he didn't know was going to happen and lost his mind.
That's why he left the stand-up scene.
Owen Benjamin's like, "Nah, I'm just sick of this [ __ ] slop world. You guys are all insane. You're the crazy ones.
I'm not crazy."
Mimics are scared to of authentic people because they can't predict us, and they think we are being reckless because we are alive. They need to They need the living to mimic we don't need them.
You're doing great kid. If you don't feel pain, you aren't alive. You can also feel gratitude and joy. They can't.
Don't fear them unless you hate them, want what they have, or made a promise to them. They don't actually do anything to you, they just act disappointed or concerned. You've gained my respect pal, keep crushing. Mice are scared of anyone that doesn't also think they're a mouse.
You aren't a mouse.
He's right.
Stop, Theo shouldn't be taking advice from you. Shut the [ __ ] up, you aren't anything like Theo you clown. God damn, okay. It's what When the hate don't work, they're telling us lies. Joseph Rogan is low IQ, low T, and low energy. Okay.
Fine equals [ __ ] up, insecure, neurotic, emotional. I'm doing fine.
Haha, amen.
Joe is not your friend.
I disagree. I don't Do you guys agree with me? Type a one if you do. I think Joe Really, I actually think he's looking out for his friend.
I do. I think he's wrong. I think Joe Rogan's wrong about Owen Benjamin, but in this Theo situation, I think he's looking out for his friend.
So, let's get this We don't want to subvert the conversation about Israel.
Owen did Joe Rogan's show after that three times. When did he lose his mind?
No, no, no. Yeah, Joe He did a show afterwards, but then I think Joe Rogan deleted those episodes. Just like he deleted the episodes that Gavin McInnes did.
So, I think he like wiped that trace.
I think he's showing real concern. I've been watching Joe's show for a while, so I I get a good gauge on that.
And also, Joe Rogan's been critical about the Iran war.
So, let's get all this stuff right. And here's Theo Von responding to the suicidal rumors.
Um I would never take my own life. I would never take my own life. He did kind of say that on stage in front of people, no? That he was thinking about it.
Okay. You hear that, Israel?
I would never take my own life.
That's good. I'm grateful to God uh for his grace in my life.
Um I love my siblings.
Um I have so many friends and people that love me and people that I want to see their children grow up. I'm hopeful I'm hopeful that I get to have a wife and meet my and meet my own children one day. Like there's a ton of things in my life that Wait, someone in the shots crashing out. Someone said uh was going to ask you why you're calling me an effing idiot until I saw your photo and see that you're a child, okay? That being said, it doesn't matter if he's a comedian. Anyone who says that should automatically be taken seriously. In fact, comedians should especially be taken seriously.
Okay? Are you What is this?
Huh?
You good, dude?
What does Longo's love speech mean?
W. She Islam Okay. Uh cool. All right.
They keep me alive and hopeful, right? I want to be able to have an impact in the world. Um Those are just a few of them probably, you know? I mean, so many just moments we've shared on this show that I'm like, oh, I live for those things.
Um Okay.
Very good.
Very good.
Potentially, is he is he using that anti-Israel conversation?
I think he I think overall he means well. So, let's uh let's call out a miscommunication when it's a miscommunication. Especially, people are going to really crash out on on Joe now.
I wonder, did Joe Rogan respond to this stuff?
What else are people saying?
I've got to help this dude by making sure everyone is fully aware of his mental health struggles.
Rogan is compromised.
This is a targeted post about the narrative that Theo is mentally unwell because he's a vocal critic of power people in Israel. Eff off.
How many times have we seen this? Diana, Michael, Dave, Kanye, Candace, Charlie, JFK.
Hmm.
Hmm. [snorts] But then I'm also against antidepressants. Maybe some people do need them. Medication is important for some people, but overall I don't I don't think you need that. I think that could be fixed with prayer. I think that could be focused with guidance. I think that people can figure out their values and overall it is unnecessary.
>> [snorts] >> I don't want to see everybody try to medicate, try to stifle their issues.
Address them.
Some people do need it. Well, yes, some people do, but I think the vast majority who do take them, they don't need it at all, bro. It's over prescribed. I remember in high school, bro. You know how many people were taking antidepressants that didn't need them?
Like you're 15 and you're you're going through puberty. You don't need, you know, these medic- You don't need SSRIs.
You need God.
