In the sneaker resale market, highly hyped releases often experience significant price corrections after initial hype, with prices dropping substantially within days as availability increases; consumers should consider waiting for prices to stabilize rather than paying inflated resale prices, as a 'resale flop' (significant price drop) actually benefits buyers by making shoes more accessible closer to retail price.

FLOP? THE TRUTH ABOUT JORDAN 4 BRICK AFTER BRICK! DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE! RESELL TANKING QUICK!Added:
Yo, I had a totally different approach going into the release for the Brick by Brick Air Zoom Force by Nigel Sylvester, but now it's looking like the Brick after Bricks are in and out bricks. So, we shall see how this release goes. We got to talk about in today's video. Your boy The Vintage is back with some content, man.
Yo, what's going on YouTube, man? Thank you guys so much for tapping back in.
Your boy The Vintage is back. We back with some more sneaker content. I feel like this is a topic that we need to talk about, bro. We need to discuss it.
We need to see what's going on. We need to see when the best time to pull the trigger because we already know everybody's not about to get a dub. So, let's go ahead and break down and you know, do a little quick analysis over the Brick after Brick release and what what I think you guys should do. Wait, buy them now. I'm going to let you guys know all that in today's video, man. If you guys are new here to the channel, before we get any further, make sure you subscribe. Make sure you hit the notification bell so you don't miss out on any content. [music] And uh yeah, we got some early stuff to show you guys. And I also have a grail pick. Well, it's not even considered a grail. It's a release that happened this year. I kind of, you know, took a huge step back in terms of copping shoes, kind of prioritized some other things, but now I'm like, I need to get them. I need to grab them joints. And I did, bro. Usually when I say I want something, I'm going to get them uh you know, regardless of how much it cost. I know it sounds bad, but if I want a shoe, I'm going to get it. And I haven't been copping that many shoes this year, so I'm not too pressed about having to pay resale for a couple of the releases, man. But yeah, make sure you guys follow me over on Instagram as well. Be dropping some story posts. Sometimes I post a little bit of my fitness stuff.
Uh but in terms of, you know, seeing what I'm doing on a day-to-day basis, you got to hit me up over on Instagram.
Hit me up. Follow your boy. And uh I might follow you back, you know what I'm saying? Let's see how it goes over there, man. But all that out the way, bro, let's talk about these Brick after Bricks. All right, guys. So, So, I said in the intro, we seen a totally flip side of, like, I guess you would say that initial hype, right? Everybody was super hyped for these going into the release. Everybody knew this would be a shoe that would be hard to get. It's all red. It's kind of like a first of its kind when you think about this entire makeup of the shoe, the first Nike Air. Usually, the first collab for a Jordan 4 usually does very well. I look back at like the Pine Greens, you know, we got the navy blue SBs, which are literally going for under retail right now. Literally going for under retail. Um usually, the first pair of its kind, like the SBs, Nike SBs, and the Nike Airs, they are doing a lot better with these brick by bricks. Now, with the brick after bricks, we seen them going for like over a thousand dollars like two weeks ago, bro.
Literally going for over a thousand dollars two weeks ago. I said, "Man, I really want to come back on YouTube with a bang. I want to grab a pair." And I'm like, "I'm not paying a thousand dollars. Not happening." And I just felt like, you know, after the initial release of these brick by bricks, Nike would kind of, you know, give us a little bit of grace.
Show us a little bit of grace when it comes to the And as we see, bro, the they are saying there's a lot of pairs out there. And when I say a lot, I'm not saying like a million pairs like the Air Jordan 4 Breds, that's going to happen. But, I'm talking about like enough pairs [music] to be gracious out there to, you know, drop that resale tremendously. And like literally overnight. I could have paid like eight, nine hundred dollars for the shoe. But, I'm like, "Man, I think these are going to go down. I really think the resale is going to go down." And literally, the next day, I'm I swear, the next day, you guys the homie, he got kicks, we're talking about it. I was like, "Man, I really want them. I want to pull the trigger. I want to show them early. And >> [music] >> um I don't want to pay that much money."
And then the next day, them joints dropped all the way down to the mid to low four hundred dollar price range. So, now we're here, bro. Now we're here.
We're trying to see kind of how the resale is going to sway, is it going to go up? Is it going to go down? And it is significantly less than what it initially was. We seen the first images.
We seen these, you know, stores, these mom and pop shops letting them go in the back door. And uh now they're going for like $300 in some sizes on Goat and StockX, which is crazy. You wouldn't think that the brick after bricks be going for that low.
Especially with the low amount of pairs that was kind of out there. [music] When I say out there, I mean like early pairs. It didn't seem like they were plentiful up until last week. And then now people are letting pairs go and selling shoes back doors and stuff like that. But uh yeah, they're going for mids to high 300s, some in the $400 price range. And that is all good for us. It's all good for us, right? We talked about it for the uh Air Jordan 1 Virgil archives that released that was going for almost like $700. Then it dropped all the way down to 400. It was like mid to, you know, high 400s. It did rise a little bit more, but we waited.
We did wait. And now we're in that dilemma like, should we pull the trigger now for these joints or should we wait a little bit longer?
And I honestly think, bro, next week is going to be the lowest that we see the brick by bricks. And I'm not saying it's going to drop any more than what it is now. Maybe like 20, 30 bucks. Of course, the hype is going to be a little high.
Uh the little Timmy's going to sell their pairs on the release date. I think they're released May 22nd. And I think that the pairs will go down just a little bit. So, me, I am a realist, bro.
I am a realist. I don't think I may hit for retail. So, I am going to pull the trigger personally to get them in the collection, you know what I'm saying?
And they're going for a fair price in my size.
In my size 9 and 1/2 going for around 350 right now currently over on the Goat app. StockX is a little bit cheaper.
It's I find that quite kind of interesting. That's how it's been lately when you talk about um releases. Like I feel like StockX has been a little bit cheaper. Uh but when you do the taxes and fees and stuff, it kind of almost balance out, but it's still a little bit less than the Goat app. But again, I'll put a screenshot, bro. Going for 356 in my size, bro. 356. Taxes and fees and all that. You probably going to pay like 380, 390 >> [music] >> out the door. So, pretty much a $400 shoe. And I do think they're going to drop a little bit, just a little bit, bro. And I'm not saying like when I say a little bit, I'm talking about like 20, 30 bucks. So, if 20, 30 bucks move or sway you, then [music] yeah. And if you do hit for retail, I always say people, you know, you can definitely resell them.
Trade bait. But me personally, I am going to pay to play. This shoe I really want. We got to see them finish off the collection. We have the Brick by Brick.
So, it's only right to get the Brick after Brick. So, you guys let me know down below in the comment section what you think people should do. Should they wait? Should they pull that trigger? Uh do you think the pair is going to be this crazy plentiful to where we don't have to worry about it? I don't think that. Uh but I really am interested in seeing kind of how you guys' thought process is going. The resell flop. Thank you. You know, people think I say it flop in a bad way. I say it in a good way. Cuz [music] if a shoe resell flop and you like it, that is good for us. We can get these shoes for retail, bro. I love getting stuff closer to retail. I I hate paying retail, >> [music] >> even though I have done it so long for the last 12 years.
Crazy.
Over the last 12 years, your boy been paying retail for a lot of the releases um that I have got, especially the the more hype pairs. And you talk about getting shoes early and stuff. I always end up paying more than retail for my shoes. I'm like, "Ah." Even though you got the money to do it, you just still like kind of sickening to a point.
[music] But it is what it is, man. But you guys let me know down below in the comment section if you're going to be securing a pair May 22nd. Brick after Brick are releasing. The merch is dope.
The shoe is dope. The whole roll out of the shoes is dope. And I am super excited for this release. And I do want to kind of transition over to these joints and let you guys know that I am still a huge fan of these Asian 4 Tours. I had them for so long. I was supposed to do a couple videos over them. Supposed to do a review and on feet. Been kind of busy, but I will be doing a full review on them feet over the Toro Bravo 4s. Y'all let me know in the comment section if you rocking out with them, cuz I think these dropped either the weekend of the Brick After Bricks or the [music] week after, one or two. I don't know if the Bloodlines the Bloodline 12s or these released [music] uh first. I'm not too sure, but you guys let me know in the comment section. We just chopping it up and I appreciate y'all for tapping in. Make sure you subscribe, hit the notification bell, run them likes up. Every single like counts and you guys know I respond to every single comment. It's good to be back. Um we got some more content on the way and I can't wait to unbox this >> [music] >> anticipated uh delayed W, bro. So yeah, man. I'm going to catch you guys in the next one.
Peace.
