Fast fashion items sold at low prices (like a $30 Target bag) may pay producers slave wages, as the minimal markup leaves producers with only fractions of a penny per item, highlighting the need for consumers to use their purchasing power to support ethical labor practices through thrifting, making, and mending.

Crochet is handmade and this $30 target bag must pay slave wages追加:
So, this just came across my reels that were served to me.
Um, Gloom Craft talks about it. I'll link their original page um, and content for this, but they're talking about how and they talked about it really well, how this is definitely crocheted by hand. And we know machines can't crochet. We talked about this 2 years ago when Taylor Swift stepped out in that fast fashion dress in London.
This is crazy. I went to the Target website. This is for sale for $30.
There is no world with you consider markups and everything else that this bag is being made for anything above fractions of a penny to the producer.
These are slave wages. We need to be really mindful of the stuff we are purchasing and use our purchasing power to make a statement.
Thrift it. Make it yourself. Mend it.
This is ridiculous. I can't believe that, you know, human effort is being used in this disgusting way for fast fashion.
