Why are gas prices so high when America is self-sufficient with its own oil?

[00:00:00]I know I'm just a undereducated ex-Amish but make it make sense. America is is self-sufficient with its own oil, produces more than they need, but yet our gas prices keep on rising and rising. Why?

[00:00:17]Because of the war over in Iran? Because of oil prices over there? I mean, make it make sense. I Look look at this, guys. I just Googled it. The United States is considered a net exporter of energy, meaning it produces more than it consumes. Look at that. Even Google knows this. Since 2019, the United States has been a net total energy exporter, producing more than it consumes, which marks a significant shift towards self-sufficiency.
