[00:00:45]What was that? Breaking news. Swatch just teased a collaboration with Audemars Piguet, and last [music] time Swatch did this with Omega, it broke the internet.

[00:00:53]Literally. Here's everything you need to [music] know. In March 2022, Swatch dropped a $260 Omega Speedmaster, the Omega MoonSwatch. Stores sold out worldwide the same day. Carnaby Street in London got shut down by Met police in 30 minutes. Only 10 people got inside.

[00:01:10]The impact was insane. Resale hit 2,400 bucks day one. The 1 million MoonSwatch later sold at auction for 69,000 Swiss francs. But, the wildest part?

[00:01:20]Speedmaster sales at Omega boutiques went up over 50%. The cheap version sold the real one. Now, Swatch is doing it again, and for the first time [music] in history, an independent luxury brand has said yes. Less than 24 hours ago, Swatch ran ads in newspapers and across Instagram with two words, royal and pop.

[00:01:38]Same exact font as the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak. The Royal Oak is one of the most iconic sports [music] watches ever made. The 41-mm steel reference retails around $31,000. In the secondary market, that same watch trades around $50,000.

[00:01:51]The new Royal Oak rumored between 300 and 530 bucks, roughly 1% of the price.

[00:01:58]Word on the street is a bioceramic case [music] in bright pop art colors, possibly on a lanyard you can wear around your neck. But, we also hope to see a wristwatch version. May 16th, boutiques only, bring a chair, bring a friend. I might be there for this one.

But, because I've had the Kermit for so long, I [music] was ready to get out of it, get into something new. Buy right in the middle.
