My Last Chance at RARE Manga NFL Cards!

[00:00:00]GENTLEMEN, IT'S OFFICIAL. Topps is the exclusive partner of the NFL for all trading cards moving forward. You might have seen a lot of people opening Topps Chrome 2025. Nasty set. I'm super excited to open it. But before I enter that era, there's one final box that I have not opened from Panini, and that's this box right here. 2025 Panini Prism.

[00:00:25]This is the hobby box. It's about $1,000. But there is one reason. On the side here, it tells you to look for ultra rare manga color blast and prismania inserts. And what we're looking for is the manga. And they can be found in this box. We also will find two autographs per box on average, four silver prisms, and 10 numbered prisms. I got to say though, it's kind of crazy that the license got handed over. I'm really excited to open this and maybe hit a manga. I know they're very very rare, but I live in a world where, you know, EA has the exclusive license to make Madden. And I just feel like that will never end. I feel like for the rest of eternity, we'll have a shitty Madden game because of EA, but for some reason in the sports card world, the NFL no longer renewed their license with Panini. I'm not sure the politics behind it, but I do know that Topps has the official licensing, team logos, all that stuff. And the next sports card opening you see on this channel is 100% going to be Topps chrome. But I knew I couldn't end the Panini era until I opened this.

[00:01:25]So, let's go for it. Our very first card is Brian Thomas Jr. into an Aussie Newsome. Raandre Stevenson. Donovan is Yuica. I just did a Cowboys rebuild. He was a dog. Oo, Chuba Hubard. Wait, that card is sick. Look at this Chuba Hubard right here. 126 of 225. You know, there's so many cards that got like over so many guys that I have a hundred different cards of that I hope they just giga pop off. Chuba Hubard being one of them. Another is that who's that Dolphins running back? Jaylen Wright. I feel like they print a 100,000 of that dude's cards. Ron Jaworski. I'm not entirely sure who he is. Ball knowers, please let me know. A little Drake May action. Never bad. Vea and a oo sinko on the Patriots. We're getting weird with it. Funny story about Topps chrome. So, I called a local card shop when Tops Chrome came out and I was like, "Hey, um, I'm looking to get some Tops Chrome hobby boxes. Do you have any? What do they cost?" And this guy on the phone, he goes, "Yeah, we got them. We're selling them for $1,200,00."

[00:02:35]I said, "Damn, is that retail?" And he goes, "No, no, we uh we just sell for uh we sell for market." As I'm getting a Kyle Manungai rookie and another rookie yo, a Riley. That's actually sick. Hold up. Let's go one at a time here. First, we got the Kyle Manungi. Kyle Manungu had a very solid season this year. Him and DeAndre silver crazy on the Bears.

[00:02:58]That is a 142 of 180 on the Kyle Manungai. It's kind of got like it's kind of got the appearance of football texture on the side of that. Awesome card. Let me get a sleeve for him. Penny sleeve for Kyle Manungai to start it out. And I'm definitely going to need a little more on Riley Leonard. What a sick card. Ow. 66 of 75. Riley Leonard Panini Prism rookie auto. It is a sticker auto. By the way, when you see stuff like a sticker auto, it does make you think like, yeah, you know what?

[00:03:28]Maybe someone else should have the rights. You know, I've always enjoyed opening Panini product and I've always thought they're really, really cool, but I have felt like they're just so greedy.

[00:03:37]I remember opening those Panini Immacula boxes. I spent like five grand on those.

[00:03:41]I I'll never get over that. That burn was so immense that I'll never get over it. But Warren Sap, Sam Darnold, Quinn and Williams, Josie Juel, and Abusu Cora Mo. I've been making sports content for so long, but recently I've gotten interested in Formula 1. It retailed for $360, but obviously a lot of people wanted it. It wasn't realistic to expect it, you know, to be sold for $360. So I asked the guy on the phone, I said, "Hey, well, what is uh what is retail? I know you're selling it for $1,200, but what is retail?" And he goes, "Um, I don't know. I I really don't know, but I I feel like we're pretty close. like 1,200s. You know, that's what it's selling for. Ooh, damn it. Keep starting my story and I'm pulling cool We got a rookie club Mullings. We got a rookie tight league Williams. And I I'll be honest, I don't know what this is, but I like it. A Fractal Drake May.

[00:05:48]Drake Maym May. It's never bad to get a Drake May. Fractal. I know nothing about Fractal, but that's a very cool card. If you've been following along this story though, um the guy was being a total bro. You work for a You literally run a You run a trading card shop. You run a sports card shop and you don't know what Tops Chrome football retails for. And you're trying to convince me cuz you think I'm an idiot. You're trying to convince me that 1,200 is close to retail. I was born on a day, but it wasn't yesterday. I was so offended that I did not step foot in there and I didn't buy it. I'm I'm sourcing it from somewhere else.

[00:06:28]Listen, I'm not above I know. I know I get YouTuber privileges every once in a while, but I'm not above walking in a damn store and going and buying product.

[00:06:36]That's like half the fun. Also, this card is really cool. It's got Super Bowl logos around the corner. I'm not entirely sure what this DJmore is. Oh, and a Fractal. Caleb, bro. Drake. Drake Maym May and Caleb Williams. Oh, this is numbered. Interesting. There's a 19 of 60 DJ Moore. I really couldn't tell what that that uh coloring was, but it's really cool. DJ Moore. The true mor moral of that story is Tops Chrome Football is is definitely popular and I'm really excited to open it. But I thought if there was even a chance that I could get a manga card, I had to try one more time before Panini no longer has the license. Lockdown. [00:07:55]Oh, followed up by a Derek Henry. I got to see this thing. So, I don't know if this is numbered. So, it's not. For all intents and purposes, it appears to be the exact same card, but it just, you know, is shinier. Maybe it's similar to a holographic in Pokemon. I really don't know. Even now, this one is easy to tell. What is the numbers on this? 33 out of 200 on the Derrick Henry. Really cool card. I can't believe how good Dererick Henry still is. Carnell Lake, a little Jameson Williams, Weebo Samuel, Gonzo, an Alvin Chimera. I think Panini Prism is the first opening I ever did on this on my Well, it would have been on MMG, it wouldn't have been on Meigs.

[00:08:37]Although, at the time, I probably did not know the difference between hobby and retail, so I probably went and got retail. By the way, is the stupidest thing ever. I honest to God, now that I think about it, I don't even know what kind of reaction I'd have if I pulled a manga card. It feels so inconceivable. It feels so impossible that I I haven't really considered it in my head. I know they're super rare. It's not just like, oh, you might get one in a box. Pretty sure they're like one in 20 hobby boxes. And hobby boxes are a,000 bucks. What kind of witch magic is that, bro? That's crazy.

Got the AJ Brown and the fireworks Tyler Warren. So AJ Brown 147 of 149. Love to get a numbered card. And then fireworks. Love Tyler Warren. Pretty sure. Does Tyler Warren not have a rookie tight end record? I swear he does. Maybe not. But either way, Tyler Warren, absolute baller for the Colts. And we can close this one out with Malik Neighbors.

And I hope that in the future, sports trading cards change in a way that makes it a little more obvious how the rarities work and how the sets work. I really like this card, too. That's definitely one of my favorites from the opening. It's honestly hard to say what's my actual outright favorite in this. Then here's the guys I put in a penny sleeve. I don't know if I chose the right ones to actually sleeve up. I'm going to sleeve up all these when I'm done here anyway.
