Consistent video content creation can transform an entrepreneur's life by building authentic connections, generating leads and sales, and creating evergreen digital assets that work 24/7; the key is to overcome fear of being on camera, start with simple authentic videos using just a phone, and maintain consistency without worrying about perfection, as the learning process comes through action rather than preparation.

I Was Wrong About Videos Until This HappenedAdded:
I'm just sitting here and I'm thinking, where would we be right now if I didn't have access to this, these little things right here, these little camera lenses.
Wow, I don't know. Having a camera, using a camera, let me rephrase that.
Using a camera changed our lives. I don't mean that lightly. Literally changed everything um years ago and you kind of heard me talk about this before in other videos, you know, I've been a been we've been entrepreneurs for a long time and but for the longest I never made any kind of content or anything like that. We never never did anything like that for for years, for years and years, uh well over a decade I'm thinking or almost a decade, maybe close to it before I made my very first video.
Um and and and I'll kind of give you give you a little insight on that here in just a few moments, but I I just want to say that if you are an entrepreneur and you're watching this video right now. Maybe you have dreams of being successful marketing online and again there's all kinds of ways of doing that uh outside of this, but I would say in the traditional marketing world right now, what is what is allowing people to win and change their lives, change their families' lives is the ability to create video content. It's just amazing.
There's other things that you can do as well. I don't think there's anything more impactful than video content. Okay?
And I get it, I understand most people consume video content. There's a very smaller percentage of people that are content creators. You catch that?
There's most people are just consuming it. Oh, that's amazing. Wow, did you see the video? Wow, man, I learned something in the video. Did you see that movie?
Most of us are just consuming it, okay?
Most of us are not creating video content. Why? Why is that? When it's proven, it's a fact now. You create content and you do it consistently. One, you're going to get better. Two, you're going to get more visibility in what you're doing. And three, it's going to allow you to reach your goals of success much faster. Fact. Well, why don't people do if it's if that's if it's simple like that? I'm like, why don't most people do it? Here's one Here's probably the main reason, the fear of being on camera. What are they going to say? Oh my god, they see me. they going to think? They see me on a video. Are you No, I'm not doing that. What's my mom going to say? My co-workers? Oh my god, they're going to see me. The sooner you stop giving a about what people think about you, the sooner you'll get to where you want to go. Do I need to repeat that?
The sooner you can just stop worrying about what people think about you, the sooner you'll get to where you want to go. When I started making content, I didn't want to make videos. Pushed back on it for years. I just always felt like Just true. Back in the day, before I started making content, this is before before 2012, I always thought if I was marketing something, an opportunity, a product, a service, as long as that as long as the company provided a really good video explaining the product, the opportunity, all I got to do to get people in front of that video. I learned the hard way that a lot of people didn't care about that video. They cared about my perspective, okay? I didn't know that going in. I just thought, "Man, if I get Man, if they just had a really good video, I can get a lot of sales." Some of them did, but I didn't get a lot of sales. It didn't impact anything. But it's so funny, the very moment I make a decision to start making video content and I do it consistently, changed everything. And I was mad, cuz I was like, "You mean to tell me that's all I had to do was just start making content?
There are so many situations financially that You know how it is when you're growing up and you got family and kids and stuff, and sometimes you just need more money for because of this, because of that, or whatever. And so many things that we had to go through to get through those moments, we got through them. But man, if all I knew if I would have known that it was that powerful, all I had to do was start creating video content, then we could have got out of those situations way sooner and way easier.
All because of just shooting videos. Crazy, okay? So, the fear of it, you just got to get over it.
You just got to do it. Sometimes, for me, it took going through uh a pretty dramatic family crisis. I still worked, but I couldn't work any overtime. I couldn't get another job, whatever. Just a Just in a situation that we had I had to If we were going to If we were going to make more money, I had to do it from home when I got off work. And because of that situation, there was no other option, but hit that record button. And you know what? Literally, 90 days later, both me and my wife both quit our jobs.
Why? Not because of some opportunity.
Yeah, that had a part to it cuz they gave us a commission when someone bought that service or whatever we were promoting at the time. But that would have never happened had I not made the videos.
Does that make sense? It would have never happened. I would have never made that kind of money. I would have never be gotten that position to "Hey, you know what? I think I'mma quit my job that I've been working at for 7 years."
It was because of the videos. It was because of making video content. That's what changed. Where would we be right now without that option? I don't know.
Probably at work. But that ability to share a message in that could be seen by hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people changed everything. Now I could be in multiple places at once, 24/7, and deliver the same message over and over and over again. That concept blew my mind. I never thought of it like that. I could be in multiple places all at one time. Like right now as I'm making this video, somebody's watching one of my other videos right now. When I'm in the bed sleep, people are watching videos.
We're getting leads, sales, all these different things. All because what?
Making video content. Why do I think it changed everything? It just like I said, it's because I could be in multiple places all at once and it it instantly I I didn't know this was going to happen.
I didn't I didn't see that far ahead when I started making video content. I didn't see myself becoming like a subject matter expert. I didn't see myself being like a resource for other people. I was just really just listening to what my mentors were saying, "Hey Steve, if you really want to take this to a whole 'nother level, bro, you got to start making videos." And I'm like, "Man, I don't really want to make any videos." He said, "I'm telling you, you start making videos, you'll be you'll probably overwhelmed eventually with the amount of contacts and people calling you and emailing you." I'm like, "Hmm, probably a good problem to have." So, I eventually started doing it months later after we kind of went through a little family crisis and I had no choice.
Unfortunately, some of us will have to go through that to where your back is against the wall and you can't move. So, you have to come out swinging with a video camera in your face and sharing your story. Now, what was I doing? Just sharing my experience. I wasn't doing anything crazy. I remember I was an I was an amateur. All I knew how to do was just share what was what was going on, what was happening. Hey, I got involved in this opportunity and here's why because of blah blah blah blah and let me tell you what's happened since we've been in. People love this service. You You see what I'm just talking about what's happening. I just recorded it and just put it online. It wasn't me just giving presentations. It was me just talking about what's going on. Those early videos, it was just me just Hey guys, this is what's going on. I've been in now for 30 days. We got started, blah blah blah blah. I was able to make it roughly X amount of dollars cuz I was able to bring these people offline or whatever what whatever. You see what I'm doing here. Again, just very nonchalant, very authentic sounding, just being me.
Like it or love it or hate it, okay?
Some people liked it, some people loved it, some people hated it. Didn't matter because I knew again, I wasn't worried about what people may think. I didn't care. It wasn't for them. I was making the content for the people that said, "Hey Steve, I like your video. Hey Steve, I saw your video. Man, hey I like you know, like how you broke that down.
I like your story. I can relate. I'm going through the same thing." See what I'm saying? I'm making content for those people. So, I want you to write that down. You're not making content for everybody. You're only making content for the people who are looking for that message. You're only going to make content for the people that are receiving. You don't know who they are, but they will find you. But you got to start and then continue to keep going.
Just like I did. I didn't have like a whole bunch of followers and all that stuff at all, far from it. Not even a blip. I started with one video and I made another one, I made another one.
Next thing you know, I'm in my boss's office saying, "Hey, I'm losing money being at work." Which was true because my phone was blowing up all day long.
People wanted to join or sign up whatever we were promoting and I'm at work. So, some people I missed, some sales I missed cuz I couldn't get a hold of them. I couldn't talk to them while they were ready. I couldn't answer their question, right? But some people were still signing up because of the videos.
They just were I ain't got to talk to them. He He answered all my questions in the video. I'm signing up now. Boop and it ding. Oh man, it's another sale. I'm at work. Man, the confidence that it gave me. I started walking a little different. I you know, I started taking the wife out doing a little bit more, right? Because of all this stuff. I started like, "Hmm, this this video, man." I'm like and but again, a part of me was like, "Man, I should have been doing this a a time ago." This was 2012.
Think YouTube came out, what's that?
2005? Man, it's about 7 years too late.
Well, not late, you know what I mean?
Just late to the party. I could have been doing that, oh my god. I think about it every now and then cuz I I cuz it makes me think Let me kind of paint the picture here. I remember there are a lot of different opportunities, different things that we join online.
And the reason why I joined those individuals, this was way back in the day. This is like before It's this like social media wasn't even a big big This is like back in the MySpace days. Pretty much. I mean, Facebook was there. It was coming into its own, obviously. But going through those years, I don't know, 2006, 7, 8, 9, 10, all the way 12, I had joined quite a bit of opportunities online and the a lot of the people that I had joined, the only reason I joined them was cuz they had a video. That's the only reason. Not saying that the company had a You had a company had would have some kind of promotional video, whatever, but that wasn't what made me want to join the business. What made me join the business was what the person was saying. And it hit me, I'm like, it was right in front of my face.
I'm looking at what cuz I would kind of receive it like, okay, this this person, John Doe, is it he's obviously making a lot of money in his business. I see I've seen a lot of his content, a lot of his videos that he's posting. And you know, on on his blog or whatever and or on YouTube. I'm like, well, okay, I think I'm going to sign up with this individual. And and I signed up with him not even thinking like, well, how did you join? Why don't you make videos?
That never occurred to me. I'm just thinking, okay, I'm in. Okay, now, let me use the company video and I'll be sure to share that and I'll get some sales. Crickets. I didn't have an experience. I didn't share my story. I didn't share my journey. I didn't share who I was. So, when I would share certain things online, nobody bought.
Wow, it was in front of me the whole time. And I didn't really take advantage of that method until 2012. Literally, almost to the day, 90 days later from the time I uploaded my very first YouTube video, roughly about 90 days later, I'm walking into my office where I used to work at T-Mobile and I resigned. All because of a video camera.
It's crazy. The amount of relationships that I've gotten and built over the years simply because I was like >> [laughter] >> I'm thinking about it in my mind. I'm like, people that I know and love and connect with and talk to on a regular regular basis, a lot of them, not all, but a lot of them would have never happened had they not seen a video of me. It would have never happened. It would have never happened. The amount of opportunities that have come my way because of a video camera. Because of the videos that I've made, because of the stories that I've shared, the things that have come across my desk, the the calls, the phone the phone calls, the emails, the messages, the all because of a video camera. Very interesting. And you know what's interesting? That content is evergreen. You know, when you make that content I love I always tell people, I like making videos, especially if you're marketing something because every time you make a video, it's almost like you've recruited somebody. You've recruited a digital employee, if you will. A digital person of yourself, like a clone. And that clone is out there and it's always delivering the same message over and over again. It never gets tired, it never gets hungry, it never goes to sleep. It continues to deliver the same message word for word down to the millisecond for everybody that hits click or hits play. It's crazy, the perspective of that. So, when people ask me, "Well, Steve, I'm a little afraid to get on the camera, man.
I don't know, I got a face made for radio." Hey, I'm telling you, there's all kind of ways that you can do it now.
There's all kind of things. It's not the only way. You can create faceless content. There's all these different ways that people are winning. I would say even that in itself requires some skill to do. It's not hard, people can do it. I teach it, I train it. People there's all kinds of information. Um but the easiest way to just get started in my book, if you if you really want to start winning and then you can leverage a lot of those different tools also. But because even sometimes the technology overwhelms people and they just never get started. To me it's just so much easier just to pick up a phone, hit record, and then share your message.
Doesn't have to be fancy. Throw that out the window. Doesn't have to be fancy, okay? Just be yourself. Share your message. Sometimes it's good to like I'll take my little my little sticky notepad or my little other little notepad that I got here. I'll show you.
And if I need to make a video and maybe there's a few points that I want to make sure I share in the video. I didn't have one for this video. I'm just shooting off the dome. I'm just telling you how I feel. I got a couple little points here.
But uh no major major talking points but just some more of a guide. Lot of times I have it on my screen. You can't see it.
Sometimes I have it on my sticky notes.
Sometimes I'll have it on, you know, my little my little notepad thing here. I don't know if you can see it. There it is right there.
Um have it on my little notepad. And you don't it doesn't have to be perfect. For example, I've made a lot of videos over the years. Yeah, I got over a thousand videos on my YouTube channel. And this isn't the only channel I have. So um I'll write down certain points. So if you got something that you want to share, okay? Uh it doesn't have to be perfect.
Don't make it perfect. Soon as it tries to sound perfect, it's going to sound inauthentic. I'm just saying. Just be yourself. But if you need if you got a couple points that you want to make sure that you you don't miss, typically I'll just write a word, okay? Um whatever it may be. You know, whatever it is. Um I don't have to write a whole sentence where I got to read the No, just whatever just to give me the memory jogger. And if I'm Sometimes I'm doing a video and I got it I'm holding it. Hey guys, I got to kind of give you an example. Let's say I'm doing on Let's say this video is about how to make your first video or something. I'm just coming up with a topic here. And or maybe no I'll make it something more specific or someone's in business. Maybe you just joined a business and you're super excited about it and you want to make that introduction letting people know what you've what you what you've embarked on. And I'm going to just keep it simple in regards of I wouldn't even give the name of the company you want people to reach out to you so they can find out more. So I would do it from that perspective and I'm going to wrap this video up here just kind of give you an idea. So I would write down, let's say, okay, let's write down um if I'm if I if I'm in this new business, I'm going to write down just joined, okay? I might talk about incredible service. I won't go into a lot of detail maybe depending on what it is, that's up to you. I'll talk about let just say the compensation. I won't go into detail.
I'm just going to talk I'm just going to I'm just it's just a memory jogger, okay? Um let's say I'm going to put 30 days um and and I'm going to put why I joined, like why? So I got just joined, service, compensation, 30 days, why I joined or just I could just say why. And so let's kind of give you an idea. So I just got one, two, three, four, five bullet points. So if you wanted to make a video and you're like, I don't really know what to say, you can see what I just did here, okay?
Um and then I'm going to put a CTA. I'm going to put that CTA which is a call to action. I'm going to put that that tells people what to do at the end of the video. So you'll see what I mean here.
I'm going to do it right here in this video right now. So I got one, two, three, four, five, six points, okay?
Joined, service, compensation, 30 days.
30 days meaning like what what do I see myself in the next 30 days, blah blah blah blah, whatever. Why I joined and then a CTA. So that's six points, okay?
That's it. No you can see here no I don't know if you can so you kind of see a little bit there now. But no long whatever to read or whatever and And going to keep it in in I'm going to have it to come up in the in the frame in the video. I don't care. I'm just trying to be precise and people people appreciate you just trying to be precise, okay? Let me kind of give you an idea. So, here we go. I'm going to shoot it. 3 2 1 action.
Hey, what's up everybody? Hey, I'm super fired up right now. Just joined a brand new business that I've been looking at for quite some time.
It's definitely going to help us to do some big things going into the summer closing out 2026 2027.
I'm just fired up about it. I mean, I've been saying this for a while. The service that this and I got a couple bullet points here. I want to make sure I don't miss anything. The service, oh my god, you have never seen anything like this.
I love it. I truly love the service with this company provides. Everybody needs this. Everybody needs this, okay?
And the compensation plan, I'm just look the compensation plan is out of this world. It's going to really help us do some big things when it when it comes to our finances. We've been we have been praying for this. We have been looking for this and it finally has arrived and I'm so glad that we're here. The next 30 days, we're going to be back on track.
Maybe sooner, but I know definitely in the next 30 days. Incredible. And one of the main reason why I joined is because, you know, we got we got one of our one of our sons is actually getting ready to go to college and we we definitely want to make sure that he is set and this is definitely going to help finance that whole transition and getting him in college. We've always promised him that's what we were going to do and because of this program, we're going to be able to do it. And so, me and the wife we're super excited about that.
Now, if you want to know more about what I'm talking about, what you need to do is actually just just click on the button right below or if you're watching this on Facebook, you should see a link in the comment section or in the post or if you're watching this on YouTube, check out the YouTube description or even the comments. You should see a link. I'll post it and that'll take you directly to to the page. Check out that information. There'll be a video right there at the top of the page when you get there. Watch that video. They're going to break everything down for you and you'll know exactly what what I'm doing. And if you got any questions, definitely hit me up. If you see an opportunity like I did when I saw that video that you're about to watch, I was like, "Man, I'm in. This makes sense."
Right? And I've been looking at it for a while and looked at it again, did some more research. I said, "You know what? This is the one." Here we are. We're super excited about it. So, check out the information right below. Check out that those details. If you got any questions, let me know and we'll go from there. That's it. Thanks for watching, guys. See you in the next video. Peace. Cut. Now, I know some of you say, "Steve, man, you do that really good." Well, cuz I made I don't know thousands of videos by now, tens of thousands for sure. Yeah, at least.
Thousands on just on this YouTube channel. But, you can do that as well.
You see how I just had the little notepad right here? I'm just reading over. I even said, "Hey, I got my notes right here." You see I pointed. I do that in my a lot of my videos. I've done that in a lot of videos in in the past.
Especially if it's something that Maybe it's something new and I don't I don't quite know it all yet, but I want to get some information out there pretty quickly. I'll just write it down and I'll just share it. And people be like, "Okay, cool." They just do what I A lot of them will just do what I asked them to do. They'll just go Okay, go go to the link, click the link. Oh, here's the here's the information. They watch the information. Some of them join, some of them don't. Some of them reach out, etc. Make sense? The whole point is is that I made the content. That's the key.
I made the content. I didn't worry about it being perfect. I didn't worry about it being like a commercial. If you Hey, I'm telling you, if you making a video and you're like, "Hi, my name is Steven Rachel. I live here in Las Vegas, Nevada. And every now and then, I feel like, hey, I can be an entrepreneur myself." So, what I did, I searched the internet. And when I went to the internet, this is what I found. Don't do that.
A lot of you cuz that's what you're trying to do. Cuz you maybe you might have a little teleprompter or something or what it's all kind of ways you can just read stuff. Yeah, just just be yourself. Just be yourself. Be authentic. Make that video. Here's the thing. Soon as you make it, upload it.
Don't worry about it. Make another one, okay? Then upload that one. Make another one. Make another you're And here's here's something I'm going to let you know about. That video you're going to make, you're going to hate it. You're going to hate that video. I'm just letting you know up front. You're going to hate that video. Don't matter. Upload it anyway. Cuz you're going to make another one. Then another one. And then another one. And after three, four videos, one, you're going to go you're going to learn something during that first process of making the video, uploading the video. And I And I would say don't even worry about editing, okay?
Don't even worry about editing editing or anything like that. Make the next video. Make the next video. The more you make, the better you're going to start getting. You're going to start feeling more confident and comfortable with doing it. And you're going to start learning things like, "You know what? If I did it like this, if I did it like that, if I upload that, if I can even edit." Then you're going to start learning. And then you're going to look back like, "Wow, I learned just going through the process." Adults learn through action, typically. Okay? Cuz I can give you everything that you need to know, but it don't mean nothing until you put it into action, okay? It don't mean anything. We learn as adults and kids are a little different. Adults, we typically learn by action. By doing something. So, if you don't you don't get it, don't quite Well, "How do I I don't" Don't matter. Do it anyway.
You'll figure it out. Do it anyway. We got all these tools and resources in front of us. Nobody in a in in the world should ever have a question that they're stumped on. Especially when it comes to stuff like this. All that stuff is viral all over the internet. Especially in in AI, like in Chat GPT and Claude and other AI platforms. You just ask that question. I made a video, I don't know how to upload a video to YouTube and Facebook. How do I do that? You know what it do? It will just give you the instructions. How about that? It will just give you the instructions. It'll tell you exactly what to do. So, don't stop thinking, oh well, I don't know how to do that. Well, I can't. No, no. We're in a different world now. You got access to things not just YouTube and Google like it's been for a long time, but now we have access to AI where it can literally have a conversation and walk you through the process. What's your excuse? Typically, it's in the mind.
Just do it. And when you do it and you stay consistent with it, it will change everything, literally. It's not going to change overnight. It's not going to be an overnight where Steve said, if I made that one video, I'm going to be a millionaire. No, Steve didn't say that at all. It's all a process. Everybody that I've ever known that's done very, very well marketing in today's world, especially using content, started with one video when nobody knew who they were. They just made another one. Matter of fact, they even hated those first few videos. And they just kept making them non-stop over and over and over and over and over again until they got really good at it. And not only that, they start building a following. Not only that, people start looking at them as like the resource, like that's coach.
And the next thing you know, they're buying stuff from that individual constantly, every single day, 24/7. But it all started with one video that they didn't want to do, that they hated, that they felt like they couldn't be good at it. I'm telling you what I know, guys.
I've been here a long time and I didn't help a lot of people get to that next level. And I remember them pushing back.
Steve, I don't want to make any videos.
And now you look at them, you're like, wow. Me and my wife talk about it all the time. Remember when such and such was didn't want to make a video?
Remember they didn't want to do a zoom?
They didn't want to be on camera. They felt like they weren't good enough to be on camera. Now now look at them. They didn't step into their own thing. They got their own following. They're doing their own thing and whoa. But I remember those early conversations. I remember my journey.
You can do it as well. So, camera on your phone reason why I keep pulling my phone because you ain't got to go out and get no expensive camera. Me you better use your phone. There's all kind of things that here you can get but we all got a studio in our pocket or in our purse. Use it. Now if you got like old flip phone or something or whatever that 12 13 years old, now you need to upgrade.
>> [laughter] >> Get you an iPhone, an Android phone, something. You know, a a newer device and most of the phones now, a lot of those features for shooting video is pretty standard now. They're all going to be in HD, 4K, and all that stuff. All that really doesn't matter.
Cuz most of the phones are standard out of the box are going to shoot really good quality videos, okay? Really good good videos. People are shooting movies on phones now. So, [music] just to go just just to let you know. So, as long as you got a phone, you're good. Start there. If you feel like hey you need to upgrade do some different things cuz you want to shoot some different types of video, absolutely. [music] But just start with your phone, you'll be good. So, that's all I got guys. It works. It could change everything. It changed my life and so many other people. And it can help you to do the same as well. So, that's all I got for now guys. Thanks for watching.
>> [music] >> Check out the links in the YouTube description. Be sure to like this video, subscribe, and with that said guys, look forward to seeing you [music] on the next video. Go shoot that video. We'll talk to you soon. Peace.
