Christians Missed This in Daniel 7 for Years | Sam ShamounAdded:
Jesus has a God over him. He can't be the most high God.
Daniel 7, the Ancient of Days is there.
That's the Father. The Son of Man shows up later. So, the Ancient of Days is the Most High. Son of Man showing up later means that Jesus can't be the Most High.
Revelation 4 and 5, you have the one on the throne. That's the Most High. That's the Father and Jesus is the Lamb. Tribe of Judah. So, he can't be the Most High.
And then Jesus says in Revelation 3:12, that the Father is his God and he repeats it four times. So, Jesus can't be the Most High. Do you understand the arguments? Cuz we're going to go through it.
Okay. Daniel 7:9-10, I watched till the thrones were put in place and the [clears throat] Ancient of Days was seated. His garment was white as snow and the hair of his head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame. Its wheels are burning fire. Now, you know what it is?
More than one throne.
>> [clears throat] >> But, the Ancient of Days sits only on one throne. Okay, let's go through this now. We're going to go into the meat.
One throne. That means there's another throne for someone else.
>> [clears throat] >> The hair of his head was like pure wool.
Now, why is God appearing as an older man?
Because age signifies experience signifying wisdom. Because he's very old, he's very wise.
And why is his garment white as snow?
Because he's absolutely pure.
Okay, keep that in mind.
His throne was a fiery flame.
>> [clears throat] >> Its wheels a burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him.
Thousands of thousands ministered to him. 10,000 * 10,000 stood before him.
The court was seated, the books were opened.
You got it?
Books were opened.
But, there's another throne for someone else.
The someone else is here.
>> [clears throat] >> I was watching Daniel 7:13-14 in the night visions and behold one like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven. Now, we know that is that's Jesus.
His argument is, see he comes later.
Doesn't that mean he's younger?
No.
Because if we believe Daniel is prophetic and it is and it's referring to the future, then the reason why this Son of Man shows up later is because the New Testament tells you.
Daniel is seeing Christ return to heaven after his physical bodily resurrection. So, where's the problem?
>> [clears throat and cough] >> You with me there?
When does our Lord return to heaven?
When he's been raised physically in the clouds, cuz that's when he goes to heaven to sit in throne.
So, the reason why he showed up later is [clears throat] because it's talking about his ascension to glory from when he humbled himself on Earth.
But, the problem for him is if this Son of Man is not equal to the [clears throat] Father, how does he sit in throne next to him as high as him receiving the same worship he does forever and ever?
What do I mean?
He came to the Ancient of Days.
They brought him near before him.
Then to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him.
This verb for serve used in verse 27.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away. His kingdom [clears throat] is the one which shall not be destroyed. So, notice something about it? He is an indestructible king with an indestructible kingdom who will reign forever and he reigns over all human beings and every human being in every language, from every tribe must worship him forever.
Okay, with me so far?
>> [snorts] >> Who the Son of Man is? But, this verb for serve, worship is used in Daniel 7:27.
Then the kingdom and dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under whole heaven shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
Okay, now we got a problem.
How can the Son of Man be given the same worship, serve by all peoples in all languages forever if he's a creature and not the Most High God?
Why does he receive the same worship that the Most High receives by all peoples and all languages forever if he's not the Most High? See how it's going to backfire against him?
But, it's going to get even worse for him and he should know this cuz he's been refuted on this time and time again, but he doesn't listen.
Do you know the word Most High?
It's not singular, it's plural.
It's literally the highest ones, plural.
And this is his burial. Why?
[clears throat] Because the plural proves that Daniel is seeing more than one as the highest one and he sees two, the Ancient of Days and the Son of Man.
They're both as high and reign alongside each other and therefore the plural highest ones.
Do you know that it's plural?
Go here, please, right now and I have an article on this. I even quote a scholar acknowledging this.
I want you to see the word Elionin.
Right there, it'll tell you it is masculine plural adjective. It's not singular.
Elion is singular.
It's Elionin, plural.
Highest ones.
Why is Daniel using the plural, not the singular?
Because we know he does use the singular.
Watch here. Watch him use the singular and the plural together.
Notice, Eliya, Ela or Ela.
Ela, however you want to say it.
This is singular.
Notice, you go there. Masculine singular determinate adjective.
Masculine singular determine determinate adjective. So, he knows about the singular, he uses it.
So, [clears throat] the little horn speaks blasphemies against the Most High.
But, then to the shock of everyone, he then says he will speak against [clears throat] the saints of the highest ones, plural.
Here it's plural.
Masculine plural adjective.
Do you notice that, guys?
He uses the singular and the plural. Here it's singular, here it's plural. So, the little horn will blaspheme one of the highest ones, but the saints belong to both of the highest ones.
Do you understand why I'm repeating this?
Daniel knows about the singular because he uses it, but he deliberately uses the plural in every other place.
Why?
Why doesn't he stick with the singular?
Why does he go with the plural? He uses the plural in verse 18, verse 22, verse 25, verse 27. Do you know why?
Because he showed you there are two who are the highest ones, they're equal.
Who are they? Son of Man and the Ancient of Days. That's why there two thrones.
So, this Bible butcher, Magilla Gorilla, lied to you.
Daniel depicts Son of Man, Ancient of Days as being equally on high and together they're the highest and together they rule forever and together they are worshipped by all nations forever.
The Son of Man will be given the service worship from all peoples, all nations, all languages forever because he rules forever and this is the same service given to the highest ones in verse 27.
The word is highest ones, Elionin.
That's why it's plural. Because Daniel just described the Son of Man and the Ancient of Days as ruling on thrones alongside each other forever with the [clears throat] son of man being worshipped forever.
And so Daniel's telling you that's why it's plural.
It's not just one most high, they're both the most high. Did that make sense?
So I can move on to his claim Jesus never called the Ancient of Days.
Is Jesus the most high? Yes. Is he the father?
No.
Then watch here.
Jesus appears to John. Revelation 1:12-18. Now, you guys going to be shocked again. And I turned to see 1:12-18, the voice that spoke with me.
Having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like the son of man. Oh, so John just told you Jesus is the one that Daniel saw. One like the son of man. All right.
Why is he saying one like the son of man?
He's telling you Jesus is the one that Daniel saw.
Right? [clears throat] Okay. Watch the way he looks.
Clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. Now, watch this. His head, uh-oh, and his hair, his head and hair were white like wool, as white snow. And his eyes like a flame of fire. Oh boy, we got a problem.
Jesus, [clears throat] one like son of man his hair and head were white like wool, white as snow. That's the Ancient of Days.
He now looks like the Ancient of Days.
How did the Ancient of Days look?
And the hair of his head was like pure wool.
In Daniel, the Ancient of Days is not the son of man. They're different. In Revelation, the Ancient of Days is the son of man. They're the same person.
Why? [clears throat] It's the Ancient of Days who has hair on his head like pure wool.
And his garment is white.
But according to John the one like the son of man, his head and hair were white like wool.
White as snow. So now, the son of man is the Ancient of Days.
Why is that? Does anyone have an idea?
Anyone have a clue?
In Daniel, they're not the same person.
In Daniel, they're different.
But in Revelation, they're the same.
Why is that?
Jesus is not the father. We're not modalists.
Ancient of Days would be the father and the son of man is Jesus.
Why then is he appearing as the Ancient of Days? No because Jesus is as old as his father.
What do you guys not understand about the Trinity?
If Ancient of Days is a title describing the uncreated nature of God that God has no beginning, that's why he's ancient.
He's so old, he has no beginning.
And if that's the description of God well, if the father is God, then he's the Ancient of Days. If Jesus is God, equal to the father, he's just as ancient. If the Holy Spirit is God then he's just as ancient. So here, the father appears as the Ancient of Days cuz he's God and he's old.
But here Jesus appears as Ancient of Days not because he's the father, but equal to the father and just as old.
That's why.
So the Ancient of Days the Ancient of Days description of God having no beginning.
And he's very old. So in one place, the father will appear as the Ancient of Days.
But if the son and the spirit are equally old then that means the son can appear as the Ancient of Days.
You get it now?
So in Revelation, Christ is both the Ancient of Days cuz he's as old as his father and one like the son of man cuz he's the one who became man.
Whereas in Daniel, the Ancient of Days is the father and Jesus son of man.
But this destroys his lie.
Why? He said the son is never called the Ancient of Days.
Because here, he's described as looking like the Ancient of Days.
All right. So now we destroyed that lie, right?
I'm going to show you just from this chapter, Jesus is Yahweh God Almighty.
So number one John told you he's the one like the son of man, Daniel 7:13-14, the one who rules forever and is worshipped by everyone. But he's also the Ancient of Days, meaning he's equal to the father and not after the father. But it gets worse. I want you to see this depiction.
His eyes like a flame of fire and his feet were like fine brass as of refined in a furnace and his voice as the sound of many waters. Okay?
His voice is like rushing waters.
Feet burnished bronze, glowing bronze.
Eyes, flame of fire. Watch that description.
Because here, John has described Christ with the same appearance of the God that Ezekiel saw. Watch here. Ezekiel 1:24. When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of many waters, like the voice of the Almighty.
Did you catch it?
The voice of the Almighty sounds like the noise of many waters. Like the rushing noise of an army.
So rushing waters that's the sound of whose voice?
The Almighty, right?
Rushing waters, right?
God's voice, the Almighty's voice when he speaks, sounds like [clears throat] rushing waters, correct?
Correct?
Okay. Jesus' voice sounded like what?
And his voice as the sound of many waters. Why does Jesus sound like the Almighty?
So if he sounds like the Almighty, he looks like the Ancient of Days, and you're telling me he's a creature, not the most high?
