>> How to pronounce Xi Jingping?
>> Xi Jinping.
>> Xi Jinping.
Everyone say it together with me.
>> Ping.
>> She gin ping.
She gin ping.
Ping. Chi pronounced chi. Chi. Yeah, I like Chinese, man. Dude, I I think I might actually just start learning Chinese. I know how to say some Chinese.
You are my friend.
You good? I love Chinese people.
Hunhao. That means I speak Chinese. Very good. Um, I can say bad words, too, if y'all want me to. Do y'all want to learn some bad words in China? That might be disrespectful to the Chinese people. I probably shouldn't say bad words to the Chinese people, but I do have a hilarious story of a time when some Chinese guys in college pranked me by telling me what to say to these Chinese girls to win them over. If y'all want to hear that story, I'll tell it.
But I'm going to warn you, it's inappropriate.
They taught me how to say something inappropriate in Chinese. I went over and said it to these girls and it scared them and they thought it was hilarious.
And so the Chinese guys pranked me and it was so fun and we all laughed. But what they taught me to say was very inappropriate.
And I really want to tell this story, but I'm worried if I speak these inappropriate words in Chinese, I might offend the Chinese people.
I don't want to offend the Chinese people. I want to win their respect.
What's up, Annne Hilton?
There's a Chinese in my town called Cream of Samyang.
All right, I'm going to I'm going to tell the the story about the Chinese people. Anyway, thank you, Maggie. Thank you for telling me to tell it. So, the Chinese guys, I'm because I love Chinese people so much. I've always had Chinese friends in high school. My best friend was named Junguan. He was Chinese. He lived with us sometimes, sometimes he didn't. His family moved from China.
They came to America for one year with like the Chinese government. Uh him and I became such good friends in high school, Shanuang, that we when when his parents moved back to America, he wanted to when his parents moved back to China, he wanted to stay in America and they let him do that because our families became friends. They taught me how to eat Chinese food appropriately.
They taught me Chinese culture. They showed me China. And I didn't even go to China. And what I learned is I like Chinese people.
And what I learned is that Chinese people like me too. Oh, I like you guys.
And he he taught me some Chinese. So I was already prepped to love Chinese people in China.
Then I go to college and I make another Chinese friend, Chiao Jang, which in China you say the last name first, the family name. So beh did something really great for me and then I kind of screwed them over and I would like to apologize.
I want to apologize to his family. This is a Chinese guy.
We're going to get to the inappropriate story, but before I do, before I say something offensive in Chinese, I would like to say something positive about China and Chinese people so that I don't offend them if they ever watch this video.
My friend in college who's Chinese, his family had me over to his house and they got to know me and I and it was like living in China in his house. They had a Chinese nanny. They cooked me all this Chinese food. It they had me wear the slippers in the house like Chinese people do. It was like total China culture, Chinese people. But we were in America, but being in their house was like being in China. It was I bet you it's the same vibe in China. Everyone was speaking Chinese. There's Chinese food everywhere. Everything smells Chinese. It was amazing. Good smells. I love Chinese food. We ate like the Chinese do. We drank like the Chinese do. I got a little bit too drunk. They thought it was hilarious. They probably now realize I have an alcohol problem.
They didn't realize it then that I have an alcohol problem, but they they knew I had an alcohol problem. I think they could tell.
His mom really liked me. The mother was the strong person in that family. The mother was the leader of that family.
She was the business success story. She had a huge company in America and she's a Chinese woman.
and I disappointed her. She offered me a job and I said yes.
And then right before graduating college, I turned it down because my family wanted me to come back to Dallas.
And my dad talked me into doing real estate in Dallas rather than moving to Memphis, Tennessee and China where I would have gone to work for this Chinese family.
And I actually regret that decision. I should have just gone and worked for this Chinese family who believed in me and I would have become really good friends with this Chinese family who loved me and took care of me and they treated me like family and they even offered me a job. They wanted to like adopt me. They loved me and I got a job offer kind of or I got an opportunity to come to Dallas and do real estate. So instead of going to live with my Chinese family, I went to live with my own family in America in in in Texas instead of uh Memphis, Tennessee.
I think it was Memphis. It was Tennessee, I think, is where they were located.
When I came to America, I immediately made another Chinese friend.
His name was Chin. Chin. Chin was his name. Oh my gosh. Yeah, that's I don't remember his last name. His family name.
Chin was his name. Dude, God has put a Chinese person in my life. Every stage of my life. In high school, his name was Chuan. In college, I had a Chinese friend named Ciao. And then right after college, I kid you not, I come home to Dallas and my sister has already made friends with this guy Chen, who is a straightup Chinese person, straight out of China. And we immediately become really good friends, me and Chen. And it's just because he's Chinese. And I just love Chinese people so much.
That's how much I love Chinese people, dude. I love Chinese people. so much. Me and Chen had a falling out, too, though.
And I think it was also because of my alcoholism.
Also, Chin was a little depressing back then, and I think he's doing a lot better now cuz I'm doing better now. I'm going to assume he's doing better now.
But Chin was depressed back then. I was depressed back then. Hanging out with him was fun, but we were both like trying to figure ourselves out. We were younger. We were less successful. He was a lot more successful than I was, but we were like younger and still trying to figure out our identities and stuff.
But man, I like Chen. I like Chinese people. I love Chinese people.
And like, how can I bring Jesus to China if my own life is a horrible mess? You know what I mean?
Chinese food is so good, but you got to have it. Like, the authentic Chinese food is 10 trillion gazillion bajillion times better than America. You can't even say Chinese food. Like, if you know, if you understand how China does food, there's no such thing as Chinese food. There's a million gazillion bajillion different dishes, different tastes, different flavors, different concepts of food. There's so much food over there that that is not branded.
It's a bazillion, gazillion, bajillion, bajillion, gajillion, a million times different than America. the way China does food.
China does food in my opinion properly and America could learn a thing or two from the way China does food. It's more healthy in China.
I love Brandy Graham who says, "I love all people."
I love that. I love that.
I love that.
So, so that's why I want to learn the president of China's name and how to say it correctly because if I'm going to bring Jesus to China, we have to win their respect first.
And we we want the Chinese government to know this isn't about taking over the Chinese government. Bringing Christianity to China is actually just about bringing people to Jesus and it's got nothing to do with the government.
Um it's something to boost people's morals and give them a meaning in life.
And if you want to use Christianity to control people, guess what China? You can actually use Christianity to control people. You don't have to it doesn't have to be something that goes against the government. China. You can take Christianity and turn it into your own thing. You could you can the Chinese church. Dude, there will be a Chinese church. The Chinese Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Chinese Church of Christ of China. Oh, that sounds good. That's got a ring to it. The Church of Christ of China. The China Church of Christ. You see, it it goes together so well.
>> How to pronounce Xi Jinping.

Hi Niha. This is Chinese for us beginner's basic Chinese course lesson one.
Today we'll learn how to introduce ourselves in Chinese. So when we meet a new person we say hi to them and introduce ourselves. So we say to say >> say hello.
How >> how >> you >> you >> how >> it literally means good, well, or okay.
>> Hello.
>> Hello.
>> Soihow is like saying, "I bet you're doing good or okay today.
Did you notice that the tones for ni and how I like that >> doesn't sound the same when they are together?
>> How?
>> They are both pronounced in a third tone when spoken individually and when they are together they are pronounced like this.
>> Yeah.
Thanks an Hilton.
>> So when two third tones are together, the first one turns into second tone.
>> Hi alleged mystery written as a >> let me just say hi to the chat. Hi allegedly maybe perhaps. Hi Barance. Hi Maggie. Hi Brandy. What's go? Let's give it up to the people in the chat. Let's give it up to the chat. Yeah, shout out to the chat. You know what it is in the building. God's country in the building and Hilton in the building. Everybody about to speak Chinese. I must speak some Chinese >> and then we'll introduce ourselves.
There are two different ways to introduce yourself in Chinese.
>> A Chinese name has two parts. Last name and first name. The last name goes first and the first name goes after the last name. The last name is more likely one character and the first name usually has one or two characters.
>> This is so interesting.
>> Bruce Lee's Chinese name is Leeong.
>> Whoa. Whoa.
Lea Leeong.
Did I say it right? I want you guys to let me know in the chat if I said it correct. We need some Chinese people in the chat.
>> Lee is his last name.
Is his first name?
>> It means little dragon.
>> WHOA. NO, NO, NO. That's Bruce Lee's name this entire time.
Bruce Lee's name this entire time was Little Dragon.
That explains so much. If y'all have ever read his books, oh my gosh, Bruce Lee's books will blow your mind.
Holy moly, I am having some mindblowing experiences right now.
>> And Jackie Chan's Chinese name is >> No.
His last name is Chong and his first name is Long. Literally, it means to become a dragon.
No, no, no, no, no way. No way. This This is too much. This is too much, bro. This is Skyrim.
I am the dragon born, dude. I am Dude, I'm the dragon born in Skyrim. I'm going to become a dragon by by learning Chinese.
I'm the dragon born in Skyrim. I'm going to learn how to speak Chinese. And that's how I will become one with the dragons.
Do you guys want me to become one with the dragons? Because I'm about to become one with the dragons. I'm going to learn Chinese just like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee.
>> And my name is Howie.
>> How?
>> How is my last name?
>> How is my last name? Uh, how is good and lee? I don't know the word lee. I don't know that one yet. But how is good.
Hunhow. That means very good.
>> And Lee is my first name. So, here are two ways to introduce yourself.
>> I last name to be and >> I to be called >> to be called.
both and >> both and >> here function as the verb of the sentence while war is the subject >> while is the subject I'm learning how to speak a Chinese accent in English that will help me speak a Chinese accent in Chinese.
Did I just figure out how to learn languages? Did I just figure out how to learn languages?
Is that how to learn other people's languages? First you speak with their accent in your own language and then you start speaking their language. you'll actually end up speaking their language and their accent and then you'll speak fluidly and perfectly to them.
>> So this is how I introduce my last name.
>> So this is how I introduce my last name.
Yes.
How >> I >> I >> last name to be >> last name to be >> how >> how >> my last name is.
>> My last name is >> And if Bruce Lee wants to introduce his last name, >> Broers. Wroerson.
Okay, I get it now. Broers. My last name is Broers.
Wro Matt Brothers with Matt.
Friends with Matt.
YO, THAT'S HOW TO SAY YOU ARE FRIENDS WITH Matt in Chinese.
Friends with Matt.
Friends with Matt.
You are my friend.
You are my you are my friend.
Friends with Matt. I need to learn how to say um if you're watching this live stream then you are friends with Matt. I need to learn how to say that in Chinese.
Damn door fing. That's what I need to learn how to say. Oh my gosh, y'all. I need to take a quick break and I'll be right back.
I think I'm just going to start learning Chinese from now on because everyone if if if people are talking about me on the internet as being just a guy who wants to get famous and doesn't do his own research, then I'll just admit that they're right and I'm going to start doing research and I'm going to do it on the internet. I'm going to learn Chinese. I'm going to go to China. I'm going to bring them the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, but I'm going to learn Chinese first and I'm going to do it live.
And I'm going to take Jesus to China.
Now, I will be right back.
So, if you want me to come back, I'll be right back.
Um, I'm going to play one of my videos in the meantime to keep you guys busy.
so that I can go tinkle, honestly. But that's none of my business. That's none of your business. You don't need to know that stuff. Here, let me show you.
Should I show you one of my weirder older videos? Let's Let's show you one of the weirder older videos while I'm gone.
I'll show you one of the weirder older videos. Um like um where's I want to do the aliens one.
I'll make you guys watch the aliens video. Aliens are real. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to make you guys watch this while I'm gone. I'll be I'll be right back. There's my ch No.
What is happening? What is happening right now? What is happening right now?
I did not do that on purpose. I swear. I swear I did not do that on purpose.
That's my Chinese friend from high school right there. Dude, aliens are real. That's my Chinese friend from high school right there. He's in the video because me and Chuan saw aliens one time.
Okay, God is up to something weird and that's really spooky. God, God, you're freaking me out, dude. I love you, dude.
You're you're scaring me, God. Because um I put Chuan in the video because I tell a story in the video. You'll see.
I'm about to show you the video.
But uh Chuan, my Chinese friend from high school, we used to make YouTube videos together. I love that guy. If he ever wants to reach out to me, I would I would love to talk to him. I miss him so much. He's my Chinese friend. My family has always said we need to go on a campaign to uh called Find Twan. Can someone help us find Chwan? We were best friends in high school. Can someone help us find him? Can we get in contact with him, please, so that I can be best friends with him again?
He's my best friend. Now, I'm going to play this for y'all and I'm going to go tinkle. Why does Friends with Matt believe in aliens? Cynical, but profitable. Ladies and gentlemen, we have breaking news. Everybody watching this video needs to hear this right now.
If you're watching this video, then you are friends with Matt.
Let's all just Let's all just praise the Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who teaches forgiveness. Thank God he does. If he didn't, I'd be screwed. I'd be in hell, wouldn't I? Yes, I would.
But thank goodness, Jesus is real. He died on the cross to save us of our sins. If we give our life to him, we can have eternal salvation. And there's a weird transformation process that happens here on Earth. I believe I'm going through that process now as we speak.
Yesterday a little bit too. The day before that I was going through it too.
I think something's changing in me and it's happening in lifetime and I'm even live streaming it while it's happening.
I want to be the guy that brings Jesus to China first. I'm going to learn Chinese on my live stream. That's what you're gonna get out of me for now on.
It's gonna be me practicing Chinese.
That's how I should end the live stream.
I have that video from earlier.
I'm not going to talk about it. I'm going to be about it. What you're going to get from me if you watch this live stream is you're going to you're going to see me learn Chinese so that I can go show the leaders in China respect the way they the way they want to be respected. Then I'll speak to them in their own language and I'll tell them about Jesus Christ.
and I will tell them how Jesus could actually benefit the country of China if they would be more friendly to the church.
I'm envisioning this now that I will go speak to the Chinese. Listen, how do you say his name again? It was so fun. The beginning of this video, we were saying his name, but I don't want to lose my progress in this video. So, let's keep watching it.
>> I last name to be how Okay is to be. So is you to be my friend.
You are my friend. I want to learn how to say if you're watching this live stream then you are friends with Matt in Chinese. So if a Chinese person watching could help me formulate that sentence that would be great.
Maybe I'll look that up at the end of the at the end of the stream.
My last name is how. And if Bruce Lee wants to introduce his last name, what would he say?
Lee.
>> I last name to be Lee.
>> I believe >> Lee.
>> I believe. Oh my gosh, Bruce Lee is so cool, dude. What is his name again? His name means the little dragon.
But when you read it this way in Chinese, it says, "I to bee."
It's almost like he's saying, "I believe." Bruce Lee is a believer. Bruce Lee believe. Believer. I knew Bruce Lee was saved, but if you've read his books, he clearly stumbled upon the spirit of Christ. If you read his books, they're so wise. They're so intelligent. It's almost as if he stumbled upon the spirit of Christ. Maybe without having even met Jesus in person, he still stumbled across that spirit somehow. It's in It's insane. And now his name is actually, I believe. That's incredible.
And his name is also little dragon.
That's insane.
>> My last name is Lee.
>> Now, can you tell me what your last name is? If you don't have a Chinese name yet, just say in your own language, >> Broers.
That's funny. That's how I say my name is Broersen. My last name Broers. Cuz my last name is German. It means brother's son.
But yet I'm Swiss and Danish. But my last name is bro German. It's a weird thing. I guess I have some German in me.
brother son >> plus your last name >> Broerson.
>> Very good.
>> Yes.
>> And the other way to introduce yourself to be called.
That's how to say to be called.
That's how to say name. I guess name my name or I am to be called. Okay.
Interesting.
>> Usually you can use it to introduce either your full name or your first name after it. For example, my full name is Hali.
>> Hali.
>> Her name is Holy. Oh my goodness. Whoa.
Whoa. Bro, China was destined to find Jesus. Her name is holy. How?
That means good light, I think. No, no, no. What does Lee mean? I don't Lee means dragon. Her name is good dragon.
No. or it means little. Lee might mean little because Bruce Lee, her name either means dragon or it means little. Let's see what she says. Let's see what she says.
How good dragon?
>> What does it mean?
>> My name is >> And if it's Jackie Chan who's introducing his full name, >> what would he say?
>> Oh man.
>> My name is Howie though.
>> My name is Hi.
>> And since Jackie Chan who's introducing his full name, what would he say?
>> I don't know.
Oh, that's good >> to be called.
>> My name is Chong.
>> My name is Chong.
>> Also, you can say plus your first name. But there's one exception.
When your first name is like mine only one character you cannot introduce yourself with your first name only. So I cannot say I have to say with my full name or really that's weird.
She can't say Lee because it's just one symbol. So I can't say wool Matt.
I have to say wow brotherson Matt.
>> Wa brotherson Matt.
This is good >> liy.
>> My nickname.
>> My nickname is two character.
>> Two characters.
>> Cannot be followed by only one character. Now, can you in >> Oh, so you could say Matt. Oh, that's how you say my my little name is Matt.
Okay. Okay.
Matt Brotherson, >> you choose your first name with the sentence.
>> You can say it in your own language as well.
>> My first name >> plus your first name.
Matt, but my first name has one symbol, so I can't do that.
>> So, we've learned two ways to introduce ourselves.
>> Matt, >> and let me introduce myself one more time and then you can introduce yourself.
>> Okay.
>> Okay.
Lily Matt.
>> My first name is >> Now suppose you're going to China and meeting your landlord. Her name is Chen.
She's going to say hi to you and introduce herself. Can you say hi and introduce yourself? And this time, no pinging.
your last name.
>> Your first name.
>> Very good. Before we finish, here's a quick review.
to call. To call that means name >> that means last name >> to be.
>> Oh, so shun is last name. It's also to be. Oh, that's that's that's fascinating. So they have puns in China, too. or like they have like multi- multi-uses of the same words in China also that makes it more confusing.
But you'll notice the multi-uses of the words have like a vague semblance.
How >> how Did you get all of them right? Don't forget to do the quizzes for this lesson. It's on the lesson page on our website. The link is right underneath this video. And in the next topic, we'll learn some useful ways to memorize the characters from >> Chai Chen. Jai Chen. That means bye-bye.
Bye-bye.
Chinese people also do that to like shut someone else up. Like when a Chinese person is like done listening to you, they'll jin. Yeah. Yeah. Byebye. Byebye.
Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. No, this this girl is great. I'm uh I need to subscribe to this channel. This is this is good. This is how I can learn Chinese. Chinese for us. Learn Mandarin Chinese online for free. How do you get a better deal than that?
Oh, she says the full course has 40 lessons, 52 videos, and 40 quizzes.
Please visit. Okay. Well, I'll just keep finding free Chinese videos online on YouTube, and we'll just keep learning Chinese the free way. And I I wish I could afford the class, honestly. But I also want to live stream the class and I also want to not have to pay right now because I don't have money right now. So I can't afford the class and I'm also going to live stream it. So I'm going to learn Chinese.
Look at this one. Learn Chinese in 20 minutes. Look how beautiful she is. Oh my goodness. Look how beautiful this Chinese woman is. I'm going to save that one for later. Not in that way. Sounds hard.
>> I just I just want to learn Chinese.
Look how pretty she is.
Maybe this why I should learn Chinese, not to go talk to the Chinese president.
>> Yeah, it sounds that way until you realize it's just a new rhythm. Let me show you how. Even if you are starting from zero in the >> Okay, I can't watch this because I'm got to stop live streaming because I'm exhausted. But yeah, that's I think I'll watch this one next. We'll see. We'll see how it goes.
