When comparing national economies, purchasing power parity (PPP) provides a more accurate measure than nominal GDP because it adjusts for differences in cost of living across countries. For example, while the US has a higher nominal GDP ($32 trillion vs. China's $20 trillion), when adjusted for PPP, China's economy is actually 1.3-1.4 times larger than the US ($43-44 trillion vs. US), reflecting the higher cost of living in the US. This adjustment helps reveal the true economic scale and living standards across different nations.

Okay.
Nga Her Xiang Tong is my name, you know what I mean, sir. Okay, Yong Yong good evening. Okay, good evening every sister. Christie, good evening. Darren, I hope I do miss Elaine, Ken, and Chinese Uh uh uh uh uh Uh Singapore Chinese, Amanda, and Okay, best video resolution so far. Okay, I'll try to use this uh moving forward. Ethan Magpie, Yo, and Harvey. Mm. And Audrey, [clears throat] and uh and Damien. Very good evening. So, we got a couple of things to share with you tonight. Now, the biggest thing I want to say is that this Saturday will be the biggest ever crowd I ever faced. Biggest ever.
And I intend to reciprocate your attendance by by that for your grace of coming to this event by sharing my entire Kung Fu of 10M65. Okay, 10M65.
It's a newly developed strategy.
And I would wish that by sharing this with you, more people can shoot for higher and even higher CPF plus some SRS numbers. And you can share this Kung Fu with your children. They might even outdo 10M65. Okay? And you'll be surprised. A lot of people say, "No, I cannot do it. How you know?"
How you know? You haven't even know the strategy, right? How you know cannot?
Yeah. So, I want to share with everybody this strategy, and it will be launched on Saturday. Okay? I intend to keep it only for this event. I won't talk about it anywhere else because uh I will assume that the people who come for it are people who wants to attend it. So, I really want to make sure that I really give this very important event the full the full Kung Fu out. Okay? Yeah. Uh otherwise, uh anyway, that's another point otherwise, okay? So, so, uh, how many of you are going to the event?
How many of you are going to the event?
Now, I I just want to say that in that, uh, and I'll update everybody about the stock market, the econom- the economy, Donald Trump, Iran, and, uh, some other things I want to talk about as well, okay? How many of you go are going for the event? Say me, me, me, me, me. Okay, so, my uh, okay, Lim family, Ethan.
My session is probably about, okay, I'm supposed to be there about 10:45, so maybe I go upstage slightly a little bit after that. So, I don't know exactly, you know, when, okay? Chris- oh, Christie, yes, I'm happy to see you, okay? Christie, I know you. Uh, please, uh, okay, I'll try to I don't know where I can shake hands with everybody, yeah.
The the most hands I ever shook was 600 over hands, okay? I don't know where I can shake 3,000 hands. Plus, on top of that, there are maybe at least 2 to 3,000 audience from, uh, from non-1065 size as well. So, I don't know where I I got enough time to shake hands with everybody. In the event that I cannot shake your hand, please forgive me, okay? It's just too many, yeah.
Okay, no problem.
Uh, can still register for this Saturday. You can try.
Google.
You can try. I don't know, you got to pay for it. The The rest of us got it free because I give them, uh, I I give them the the the special ticket. I will be cheering yes with you. I'll give you a 14-second handshake, yes. Okay? Yeah.
All right, good, okay? So, uh, I'll be very happy to meet you there. Uh, we can say hi to each other, take photo. I do I really don't know whether I can I can shake a few thousand hands. I never tried before. I would love to, okay? So, what I'll do is that I will go there early in the morning. I will I will after my talk, I will try to mingle with everybody.
Maybe behind or something like that.
Let's I may sit in the audience, right? Let's not disturb the other speakers. How about that?
Okay.
Yes, Richard. Remember, 6 months smoke-free, I will buy I will I will buy you a lunch, okay? Yes. So, I think my session, Agnes, will be about my guess 10:50, 11:00. I don't I don't exactly know. Now, let me just say this, huh?
I got a feeling there's not enough sitting capacity because as most event companies will do, they will overbook the place because they're assuming that some people won't won't be turning up. But, I know that my session will only be shared in that session, okay? That means that my 10 and 6 I the will only be shared in my session.
Outside this event, I won't share anymore except in my courses.
So, if you want to come, this is your only chance of coming, okay? Yeah. So, my my 10 and 6 5 strategy will be shared in this session. Then, there will be two breakout sessions. And I'll try to mingle with everybody in between.
And after that, anybody who wants to wants to know more about this 10 and 6 5 the strategy, whatever, we have to attend my courses, okay? Yeah.
Uh do you need a ticket? Of course, you need a ticket. You registered. They will I think they will give you I don't know a QR code or something like that. Super break in my voice. Is it Oh, no, the VPN is breaking up again. Is it bad, guys?
Okay, I don't know. Um I hope not. Yeah. The China The China VPN is really unstable. Please forgive me, okay? I try my I I try my best. Let me also tell you the breakout room. Let me let me be let me let me be frank as well.
The breakout room only has a sitting capacity of 200 people or maybe 100 people.
So this means that many of you will not be able to make it.
Okay, many of you will not be and will be will be able to make it. So I don't know whether I don't know whether um Yeah, you did not receive any ticket in your email. Can you check your spam mail, Chailyn?
I I don't know what I do I don't know what happened. Okay. Does 10 M 65 applies to all 65?
I mean 10 M 65. So your above 10 is 65.
I'm sure you can if you apply some of this strategy will help you as well. But my my my mark was at 65, okay, for myself. But learn it for your children's sake.
Learn it for your children's sake, okay?
I will only share the 10 M 65 site on the investing confidence, not the retired confidence, okay? So because inside involves some crash buying skill as well.
Yeah, so that's more on the investment side. Okay, so actually I don't know a break break out session. I don't know 1 2 o'clock, I don't know I don't exactly know.
I think there's a 1 2 o'clock side and then maybe there's a 4 5 o'clock side, I don't know. Then after that I would After that I would yeah, I would could go to airport, yeah.
Um If you cannot enter breakout room, okay, first of all it's a queue system. It's a queue system.
I don't know how the organizer do it.
First of all, I'm just a I'm just a speaker. I'm just a guest speaker. I'm not the organizer. So let's say you cannot get a ticket, come and look for me, I also cannot do anything, okay? But what I can do is I'll hang around. I'll hang around, You know, share with you guys, talk to you guys, okay? Yeah. So, let me drink some water, yeah. Okay.
The idea of Okay, anyway, uh Young, uh I don't know what your your background is on your your CPF. The more you have, the more the more you're able to. Now, I would just But, the the key thing is this, that you know, the idea is help to push everybody higher. You don't necessarily need 10M, right? You can You can go for 3M, 4M, 5M, 6M, 7M, whatever your your the how how much you start is where it matters, right? Okay?
Do we need to come for the whole event or just come for Mr. Wu Says? Up to you.
There's a lot of other good speakers as well, okay? Yeah. So, Jennifer, 10M 6910. Yes, 10M in CPF last year. I won't Some of it will be in SRS, but largely CPF, yes, okay? No cash involved, huh?
No I mean, no I do not include the cash part, just CPF. So, I want to share with as many people as possible the kung fu.
And of course, uh the re- one of the reason why I find it difficult uh to share to share the detailed kung fu is also because of the backlash I get.
You would imagine people would be I would Sorry, I initially imagined once I want to share the strategy to help people to hit higher numbers, people would be very happy, maybe even people would be thankful. I don't need to be grateful, but actually appreciative.
Whoa! There's a lot of people very offended by me sharing 10M 65.
There's a lot. I'm not even say there's a little, there's a lot people very offended by me sharing 10 65.
And uh they say that I'm very insensitive to them. They say that uh I never I was never I was not sensitive to their financial situation and I'm using the 10 and 6 side to make them feel lousy whatsoever. Wow. Then I know what to do. Yeah. Then it's not trivial. It's quite a lot of people not you know, not not trivial. Quite a lot of people making this kind of remark.
So I said, "Okay, I know what to do. I know what to do." Okay, for those people who cannot stomach it, it's okay. I don't learn. I have an event in CIMB.
Those who want to come, come. Those who don't want, never mind. Okay? Yeah, that's what.
Okay, anyway, I won't talk more about 10 and 6 side. I'm just here as a reminder that the CIMB event is the only event I'll talk about 10 and 6 side.
Otherwise, you have to attend the invest investing confidence class.
In all fairness, the investing confidence class, I would I would let the attendees have the uh I would let the attendees have the crystal ball that I built for everybody uh in the class, okay? The crystal ball.
The crystal ball help you understand where you will hit.
Then after that, we'll give you a few levers that I will teach in the class to teach everybody how to hit there. And I'll share some of these levers in the talk as well. Yeah, okay? Uh Yeah, okay. Now, Okay, uh couple for 10 and 6 side. How to get into the CIMB event? The tickets are I don't even know where the tickets are available anymore, you know? Um I I really don't know where the tickets are available anymore. I will put a link here. Maybe it's still available. I I don't know, okay? But yeah, I think you may have to pay for it. The free tickets I Okay, I put the link here.
The free tickets I I just copy and paste. That's why the link is very awful.
The free tickets I already given all already, okay? Thank you, Ivan, okay?
So, yeah, I I I cannot quite a lot now from people for for being insensitive. So, okay, I'll be more sensitive. Thanks for reminding me, okay?
But anyway, um Okay, now let's talk about the the situation uh >> [clears throat] >> in the stock market, shall we? Now, okay.
And let's go. Okay, let's see the stock market now. Stock market now little bit down. I think it's still okay.
Yeah, little bit down. I'm still I think it's still okay. And why is it down and not going up?
I'll tell you later. Nasdaq Oh, Nasdaq 100. Nasdaq a little bit down. I think that's okay. It's just not going up. And that's largely because of this news, okay? This news is quite quite interesting.
So, the supreme leader of Iran, the comic Khomeini, actually said that, okay?
The enriched uranium must stay Give me a minute, okay? The enriched uranium must stay in Iran, okay? Must stay in Iran.
And he's not allowing it to go out of Iran.
And let me just break the news to you.
So, this one came after Donald Trump said, "Oh, we're going to have a possibility of a breakthrough in discussion with Iran and things like that, okay?"
So, now, so the Iran supreme leader has issued a directive that the country near weapons-grade uranium must not be sent abroad.
And this harden this hardening the Tehran stance on one of the main US demand. Right? So, US said, "Okay, you you the one you the one to give up your uranium, okay? Maybe put in the third-party country or something like that, lah."
Okay? But uh but Tehran said, "No, okay? So, so this one uh uh after this news came out the oil prices uh have to start to have a reaction. Let me see the oil prices. Yeah, so oil prices shot up, okay?
And I'll tell you Actually, I just want to say this uh why should why should we even be surprised?
I'm actually I'm actually thinking yesterday when stock market shot up because everybody think there's some kind of a peace talk that will happen between Iran and US.
So, it gone up. This How many times have we been misled on this, right? How many times have we been misled on this?
So, I mean, first time, second time, okay now, we know maybe we are we are a bit dumb, never don't know yet. This is the 10th time or 20 20th time really. And we are still being misled. Come on, guys, okay?
Most of us are smoking weed to believe that that this thing will will come to pass.
So, very interesting. Israeli officials have told Reuters that Trump has assured Israel that Iran's top power of highly enriched uranium need needed to make atomic bomb will be sent off Iran that any peace deal must include a clause on this. You done googoo.
Yeah, any country that gave up their nuclear bombs, nuclear missiles, nuclear capability have all bad outcome, right? You take a look at Libya. Libya has a bad outcome. You take a look at Ukraine. Ukraine has a bad outcome. You take look at North Korea.
Nothing happened to it. So, nuclear is existential risk when you give it up.
Why would the Iranians give it up, right? Stupid, man. Yeah, so I think that Yeah, anyway. So, now By the way, then Donald Trump and Netanyahu now have a very tense phone call. And I was told, I mean by the news say that the insider say that Iraq sorry Israeli Prime Minister after his hair was on fire.
Okay, I thought it was quite funny. His hair was on fire. And I I I would I they always have phone calls, uh-huh.
But to have a phone call such that uh they have some fire. Well, Trump Well, Trump Trump announced that he was holding strike that he was planning for Tuesday, okay? I don't even think that Trump is ready I have to say this. I think Trump will be coerced to have a strike eventually.
But uh I don't know, okay?
I unless he's an unless he's an idiot, which I don't think he is, to think that the Iranians will really give in to him, right? I don't think so. So, I don't know how this will turn out. I actually thought that the I actually thought that the the the Americans will strike, but it clearly didn't, okay? And maybe he's just chickening out again, yeah. So, this thing has no end to it. The This thing has no end to it. Now, interestingly, Donald Trump also came out and say that he will speak to Taiwan President. Now, this is quite a break from the usual protocol because since 1979, okay? US and Taiwan leaders have not spoken.
Yeah, okay? US leaders and Taiwan leaders have not spoken. And so, so when US presidency will speak to Taiwan leader Taiwan leader like I I think China was quite unhappy. Because when US when US President when US President Donald Trump became uh became the president, um the Taiwanese leader gave gave her gave him a call, and guess what? Wow, you know, uh after that China was very unhappy.
Now, I think this time around the phone call is not so >> [snorts] >> is not exactly that kind of phone call.
This time, I think the the American president's going to tell him, "I know I I I know I have uh a commitment to give you some US arms, uh but maybe I have a change of mind, or at least downgraded it." Because this is after he met President Xi Jinping. And this time around, I don't think this time around I don't think uh China will make that big a noise, huh.
They have some noise, huh, maybe they they're not that big a noise.
So, maybe this is a this is a sign that now Trump says that, "Okay, I'm going to side Xi Jinping a lot."
So, I thought there's something uh quite interesting. Now, the next news I want to talk about is uh is this gossip, huh.
So, DBS uh CEO Tan Su Shan has uh sold $6 million in company stock.
$6 million.
does she sell $6 million of company stock, okay?
First of all, I'm sure she's like super rich, right?
Why does she sell $6 million of it?
Okay. Is it because she thinks that the stocks are overvalued?
Or maybe she thinks that there's a market correction?
Or maybe she just needs the money for something? I don't think so, because her salary is very high.
So, and by the way, she holds 1.3 million DBS shares, which uh I think $60, right?
So, it's uh $70 million, right?
Something like that. Yeah. That's a really a lot of money, okay? But I'm quite surprised that uh she I'm quite surprised that she she's selling DBS shares, right? And to be frank, she didn't sell a lot of it.
She sold $6 million of it. Okay, her remuneration is almost $10 million.
So, I don't know. Okay? I don't know.
So, I'm just very curious why she do that. Um What? She needs $6 million to buy eyeliner. No, no.
I'm pretty sure she's she's probably staying in some GCB already. Okay? Yeah.
I'm pretty sure. Okay, I'm pretty sure.
I'm not so sure.
But I don't know where she stays. But I'm I'm sure she's staying in some GCB already.
Okay? But I think the key message I want to say is that even CEO of DBS is trying to hold more cash right now. Hmm.
That spells a message to everybody. Hmm.
So, I don't know. Okay, I don't know.
Yeah. So, what what tax reason? There's no tax reason. What what what tax reason would that be? There's no reason for tax. Maybe standby for crash buying.
Maybe rebalancing, diversification. I don't know. Okay? I'm just telling you guys if if the CEO CEO of DBS Bank is selling out shares, it's probably sending out a signal.
Okay?
So, I don't know what you all think. And last is I want to tell you guys I wanted initially to talk about it, but it's just too complicated. I want to talk about it in a in a short video, but I realized it's too complicated. Now, I'll give you my reflection.
Okay? I'll give you my reflection on China. Okay? So, then maybe this one I want to pause and just say say this.
So, China has in my opinion, after traveling for 1 week, while people go and tour touristy places, I don't.
I go look for business places, okay? I I I talk to everybody. I ask everybody.
And frankly, I can speak probably 70 to 80% China accent. So, a lot of people can not tell where I'm from, okay? And I actually found out that wow, the Chinese economy is doing, in my opinion, pretty well, okay? Now, compared to where they were and now, of course, a far drop.
But, they're still growing rapidly. You know, growing rapidly, you know, 4 5% is still growing strong.
And I want to say this, my opinion is I don't think that the Chinese economy is very far away from US. I think the Chinese economy is already ahead of US.
So, now how can it be, right? Now, let me ask you a question. When we say, "Oh, Singapore GDP very high." Okay, GDP per capita very high, and we overtook the Americans and we overtook a lot of countries, ranked one one one or two or three highest in the world.
What is the yardstick we always use? We always use this thing called GDP per capita at PPP, purchasing power parity. Now, that's a kind of a sophisticated economic jargon. It simply means that adjusted for cost of living.
Okay? So, so in in essence, or when I look at when I look at cost of living of uh of salary versus cost of living in Singapore and versus let's say Switzerland versus their cost of living, their salaries are very high, but their cost of living is even higher. So, maybe their living standard is not as high.
So, we use this thing called GDP per capita.
Now, they have come here. Wow.
A notch is is the living standards are very high in Guangzhou. The salaries are higher than Malaysians. Ah.
I need to say this. The The salaries are higher than Malaysians.
Generally speaking. Okay, don't talk about the outskirts area, Guangzhou.
And I'm sure Shenzhen Shanghai and Beijing we shall go later will even be higher.
So they are very high and their cost of living here is is pretty decent. And their standard of living here is very good. Wow.
Automation everywhere. Cost of living everywhere.
So I suspected A, something wrong with the calculation. So I always know that the I always know that the GDP of US is way ahead of China in absolute number.
So I ask myself, can not be a When I look at adjusted for cost of living and things like that, how is the the GDP? Ah.
This is where I want to see. Okay, are you ready to see the numbers?
Okay. So when you look at these numbers Woah.
Okay.
This is where I just want to share with you. Okay.
Now So the US is the largest economy in the world in nominal GDP. We all know that.
Okay, we are just going to make Okay, in nominal GDP while China is the largest when measured by purchasing power parity.
So in 2026 the US nominal GDP sits at 32 billion dollars versus China's 23 Sorry, 32 trillion dollars compared to China's 20 trillion dollars.
However, okay, however when uh when you adjust to purchasing power parity, the US is way lower than that of China. When you adjust for cost of living, local goods and services, you realize that the Chinese economy is 1.3 to 1.4 times larger than than Sorry, larger than the US. In fact, the Chinese economy is 40 3 to 44 trillion dollars compared to the US.
That actually that actually makes sense my At least my economic sense when I'm on the ground here. I say it cannot be so low, right? It cannot be so So every time I was looking at this number, I say it cannot be so this way too low.
But when I adjusted for purchasing power parity, Chinese economy has way overtaken the US really.
Way overtaken.
So yes, this is this is already adjusted for the in some sense the Big Mac Index, which is purchasing power parity.
So I thought this is quite interesting.
Okay? Well, unfortunately, per capita, US is still very high, 86,000. China is 13,000. By the way, Singapore is some insane numbers up per capita power uh GDP per capita. Okay? I think it's uh 90,000 something like that. Okay, let me check now. Okay. Singapore GDP per capita is Yeah, 100,000. Can I see lang? Okay.
Yeah. Okay, 100,000. When adjusted for purchasing power parity, it's even more ridiculous. 160 160 to 170,000. Okay?
One of the richest country in the world.
Yeah, so uh I know a lot of people say, "How come I don't feel so rich?" And things like that. That's another That's a topic for another day. Okay? But anyway, so this is where I want to say that uh interesting to say that wow, so my gut feel is correct. The Chinese uh GDP per capita is actually very high. Yeah. So, just to address Yuki, uh I have always said that you know, I've always said that the US stock market is not a stock market I can buy.
Okay?
But, that doesn't that doesn't mean that GDP is not high. Okay? That doesn't mean that GDP is not high. And yes, they always have policy risk. And by the way, nowadays uh US also got policy risk.
Ever since President Trump came around, US got policy risk. Okay? But, however, uh the Chinese economy is a very strong economy. And after I see on the ground, I finally understood. Yeah. I finally understood. But, however, will I buy this Chinese stock? No, lah.
Not not I I wouldn't dare. Okay? Now, but what if let's say I buy a globally diversified portfolio, maybe such as um MSCI World Index. Maybe they include a bit on Chinese stock, ah. Then they're more open now. Okay? Otherwise, I would not go and touch uh Chinese stocks.
Okay?
Yeah. So, Chin- Singapore after adjusted maybe worse than Africa. Adjusted to for what?
Cost of living? After the cost of living, it go up even higher. Okay?
Yeah.
Yes. GDP measures the output. Yes, no no rel- relation to quality of life and standard living. Yes, but that's the closest we can get now. Okay? That's the closest we can get. Standard of living, it's uh have to measure GDP plus many other factors. Okay?
I don't dare to buy Chinese stocks. Uh first of all, let me be very clear. I don't buy any individual stocks. I do have some counters bought I don't know, 15 20 years ago, okay, or 20 over years ago. So, I don't I don't buy any individual stocks. I only buy globally diversified portfolio, and I love the S&P 500, I love the NASDAQ, I love the MSCI World Index, I love the Dimensional Fund, so many widespread globally diversified counters.
But, specific on Chinese stock, wah, the Chinese stock is very difficult to is very difficult to uh to I think the word is lack predictability, yeah.
In short, it's a gamble. Will I bet on Chinese business? Will I do business with Chinese companies? Absolutely.
If if I have a chance, will I will I get involved in China China in businesses?
Yes. But, to buy Chinese stock, that's a different story, okay?
Um Yes, size of Chinese capital market versus US, of course, a huge gap. A huge gap. But, you you know what why do you compare only Chinese capital market versus US, but the the size of the Chinese manufacturing capability is many times that of US, right? So, each of them have their pluses and minuses, okay?
Singtel dropped today, why haven't you buy? I don't buy individual counters. I I don't know how many times do I have to tell everybody I don't buy individual counters. By the way, why did Singtel fall? How about Singtel share price today? Let me take a look, okay?
No, lah, that day was even a few weeks ago was even worse, right?
450 something like 470, I think it's okay, yeah. I don't know why it fell. I never monitor individual stock. Yeah.
Okay? I think Singtel over a long run is still a good company.
That's my view.
Okay?
Oh, Chinese stocks and Chinese businesses are very far apart, right?
Okay, let me ask you a question. Now, will I I'm trying to think about it, okay?
Try to give an analogy.
Okay, let's try this, huh?
Will you eat shark fin? Okay, maybe maybe GT won't eat shark fin. I eat shark fin. Okay, I eat shark fin. Some of the shark fin come from Africa. Okay?
So, would I buy shark fin? Would I Where I do business with them? Yes. Okay? I have some importer. I will import shark fin from Africa. Okay? Will I go and buy Will I go and invest in African stocks? You must be mad, right? I hope you understand the difference, okay?
Very far apart in understanding this.
Yeah.
Okay?
I may consider Yeah, maybe not now, I haven't reached a stage where I need dividends. Yeah.
So, I think it's very clear that uh uh to me that the the Singtel stocks is a good stock, okay? Because they got a lot of spare cash and a lot of asset they want to monetize.
But I don't buy individual stocks. In time to come, maybe. And in time to come, especially when I when I reach a stage where I would like more dividends than growth, maybe at a point time I I might buy If I were to do it, okay? And I and I actually teach people uh share this uh with my classes as well.
If I want dividends, you know, I'll spread out dividend portfolio, right?
Singtel, uh UOB, OCBC, DBS accounting. I just spread it out, right? And maybe 25% 25 25. Just buy across and just hold it.
But I haven't reached a stage here. I'm still very young. Okay?
My magic formula stock That one, I consider that even still a portfolio, okay? The system going okay, 10 stocks come out buy 10 companies all one go. Let's say there's a rebalancing of sell 10 company grow. It's very method it it's a and I have to be frank I don't have a big portfolio in a magic formula about but the magic formula I consider still a basket. I consider almost like an index, okay? But individual stock going more than no I don't, okay?
Business Chinese business like to neijuan, yes. Involution, hmm.
This involution thing is very serious in China.
Today Wow, I don't know how to say it this.
You cannot believe how they are involution the neijuan. First of all, let me explain why it's neijuan.
