アメリカのファストフードの値上げがエグすぎるAdded:
Do you know what pisses me off? Back in 2005, this $20 bill could buy you 11 Crunch Wrap Supremes from Taco Bell. Do you know how many you could buy now in 2025 with this $20 bill? Let me show you.
>> People go to McDonald's because it's fast, it's reliable, and it's affordable. And for many Americans right now, they're saying that's just not the case. Prices for a hash brown are $3.
>> That's insane.
>> 1450 US.
>> That is crazy. That is crazy.
>> A bag of Doritos used to be $3. Now it's closer to seven. The company that makes them just lost a billion dollars over it twice. But okay, cool. I give you that McDonald's. But that that should have been the signs that we was like failing as a [ __ ] country.
New York.

Only two. Only two. This entire stack right here cost me $84 with tax. Can someone please tell me how this is possible?
>> McDonald's, you come sit your trifling behind down. Who told y'all y'all was that good to be charging that much for y'all food? Y'all supposed to be good for the price?
>> McDonald's is acknowledging it's time to put affordability back on the menu and add more options to its dollar menu. Its stock took a hit this week after the fast food giant reported a recent drop in visits by its key customers who make $45,000 a year or less. And a lot of people have taken to social media to complain about it.
>> This is $3 worth of food. This hash brown, which I think used to be two for a dollar. This, for reference, is a potato, which you can get four to five pounds of these for $3, $4.
Something doesn't seem right here.
>> People go to McDonald's because it's fast, it's reliable, and it's affordable. And for many Americans right now, they're saying that's just not the case. Prices for a hash brown are $3.
Quarter pounder with cheese. A meal $1280 in Brooklyn, New York. And in dairy in Connecticut, a Big Mac meal is $18.
They have said that they've had to raise prices by 10%. And that is largely because of food costs.
>> We have to talk about these McDonald's prices. I went to McDonald's today just to get some lunch. No intention to film a video. I got a double cheeseburger. I like it without ketchup. I think it's one of the best things on the menu at McDonald's. But the price caught me so offg guard. This thing right here is $4.19.
And I remember probably in high school, one of these was like a dollar, I think, before the McDouble was even invented.
And I'm in Colorado. I don't know if that's why. I don't know if it's more expensive out here. But this thing right here for $419 is crazy. And don't get me wrong, I love these things. I get them all the time. I've been eating them for years, but $419's too much. Now, to be fair, it is buy one get one for a dollar, so 519 for two of these, which is still crazy. I don't know how McDonald's went from being the best value in food, not even just fast food, to now you can get two of these for essentially the price of like a Little Caesar's pizza. You can feed a whole family or you can get two double cheeseburgers.
That's insane.
I still love them. I will probably continue to get them, but honestly, it's hard to justify it when you can go to like any pizza place or even a place like Applebee's and get a slightly more expensive meal that is a meal, not a fast food burger. This is nuts.
Something has to happen. I don't think it's going to. I guess it's McDonald's world and we're just living in it.
>> I just got to America. I'm going to try Chipotle for the first time. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited. I've been seeing this forever and I've wanted to try it for so long. Let's see what they have.
Chipotle.
Chipotle.
I guess I get the Okay, so >> chicken >> and then I would like a bowl, please. A chicken one. I don't even check how much it costs. I just paid >> $1,450 US.
That is crazy. That is crazy. So, what do you get from Chipotle that's like a like not like health conscious, but like how do I make this a bit more? I got like a really light sour cream and light can't open it. Guacamole chicken. I just asked for a little bit of guac, too, so it wasn't too.
A bag of Doritos used to be $3. Now it's closer to seven. The company that makes them just lost a billion dollars over it twice. Here's what's happening.
According to Bloomberg, Fredo Lelay got so addicted to rising prices that it couldn't stop even as its own shelves started emptying out. Now they control nearly 60% of the US healthy snack market. And for over a decade, the mandate was simple. Grow revenue 5% every year forever. Then the pandemic hit. And like everyone else, their parent company, PepsiCo, started raising prices. Consumers barely flinched, so they kept going. By 2022, prices were up 20% year-over-year, but they still kept going. So Walmart started cutting their shelf space. According to insider reports, nobody wanted to be the one who blinked. They tried shrinkflation, promotion, smaller multiacks. Nothing worked. By the time a new division head finally declared prices had to come down, they'd missed internal revenue targets by over a billion dollars for the second year in a row. Now, this matters because this isn't just some chip story. It's what happens when a company mistakes pricing power for consumer loyalty. Surprisingly, most people are actually on the same page here. 42% of consumers were already buying fewer snacks because of the price. In response, PepsiCo and Fred delay started rolling back prices. So, the central debate isn't whether these cuts were needed, it's whether this is enough, leading some shoppers to put it pretty bluntly online. A 50cent roll back on a bag that jumped nearly 50% isn't a correction, it's a press release. PepsiCo's CEO says he'll know by summer if the roll backs are working.
So, here's the big question. Have you changed what you buy in the chip? Uh, I seen this on Twitter and they talking about the price of a [ __ ] Mac chicken, bro. A Mac chicken almost $3 for goddamn uh flavored colored sawdust.
Almost $3. And he was like, "Oh, this was back in 2018. This was a dollar." So I said, "Bro, I'll do you one, bro. This had to be a Gen Z or some more cuz cuz cuz bro, when I was in high school, that was 20 2007 2010 because this was a 20 2018 value menu. The only thing that was a dollar was a sausage burrito, the mac chicken, and a cheeseburger, and a drink." Nah, buddy. Nah, player. Now, this was straight, but this wasn't what I grew up with. See, I used because I used to eat at McDonald's faithfully in high school, especially once I got a job. Had a little money in my pocket.
You know what I'm saying? My little two $300 a check from Raisin Canes.
This was the early dollar menu. You had your Mac chicken. Well, in Louisiana, we had hot and spices. We ain't had no Mac chickens. Then you had double cheeseburgers, the fry, a salad, soft drink. You get two apple pie for a dollar cuz I used to kill I kill them. I used to get two double cheeseburger plain, a fry and a hot and the and a goddamn drink and a hot apple pie.
Period. You get a sundae, the breakfast burrito, and a yogurt parfait. This was like the early dollar menu. They had the double cheeseburger on it. Then then see this is when it all start sliding down and you be like, "What the fuck?" And we should have known back then, right? Cuz I'm It was When did they come? Then they came out with that [ __ ] the Mac double. Then they moved to this one where they gave the Mac double and they took the cheese off the [ __ ] So they moved the cheese double cheeseburgers to like a$130 and then the Matt double was a dollar.
But okay, cool. I give you that McDonald's. But that that should have been the signs that we was like failing as a [ __ ] country and that these [ __ ] was getting over on us because why? Why? Why? You had a good thing McDonald's and then they took the dollar menu in your way because they said, "Oh, we're losing money." How you losing money? Are you losing money or you not making as much money as you think you want to be making? Which one?
I know y'all wasn't losing money, but I ate that at McDonald's faithfully. My five $5 every day went to McDonald's in high school. How y'all losing money and y'all serving us goddamn reindeer hoofs is meat. How you how we losing money?
Come on now. This is also around the same time where we used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings after hooping all day. We'll go to Buffalo Wild Wings and get 20 piece wing with pictures of goddamn power and it was like what? Like $13 for 20 wings.
Now that [ __ ] 25 $30 $40. Hell chips was 75 cent for the medium bag. Uh uh 25 cent for the little small bag. two for a dollar for the regular size candy bars.
Kingsize candy bars was a dollar. The the sodas was what uh a dollar and they used to come with the little caps that you know with the little get one free or something like that. It's just like all the little creative stuff that we had back then that you know got you to spend your money. That [ __ ] gone, bro. And I don't think it's ever gonna come back because fat ass [ __ ] gonna take their ass and pay $3 for a Mac
