When investing internationally, thorough due diligence is essential, including verifying vendor claims, understanding financing terms, and researching market trends; additionally, cultural stereotypes about Asian populations are often inaccurate, as people in Asia may simply be amazed by different cultures rather than hostile, and direct experience is the best way to understand local business environments.

From the USA to Manila: Condo Investments, VAs & Culture Shock 😳本站添加:
Good morning, you guys. It's your girl Body Barturist, because I stay body in businesses, also known as Pivot Queen T, cuz I stay pivoting out of any situation. And y'all, this morning, I really wanted to, before I forgot, because I'm going to three more countries, I said, let me get on here and just give them a breakdown of what's going on and what's been going on. So, you guys are updated to what's going on out here. So far, I've been to I started off in Well, Taiwan didn't really matter. I was just there for a day. So, we did a day in Taiwan. I didn't really get to see anything. I really rested, cuz I was jet lagged. And then we left and went to Chiang Mai. Uh yeah, no.
That's not right. I didn't go to Chiang Mai. See, that's why I should have been doing these as I was going, but y'all have been jet lagged and I'm just now on the right like on their time now. It took me 3 weeks. That's a long time. But I heard that was coming, so but I'm up now, so I remember everything. So, I started off in the Philippines, you guys. I started off in Manila. I keep calling it the wrong thing, and I keep spelling it wrong, too. My VA was like, "It's two P's." I'm like, "I'm sorry.
I'm sorry."
>> [laughter] >> But yes, I was in Manila, you guys, and I stayed there for a week. I end up meeting my VA. That was amazing. That was so amazing. Everything was great. It was great until it wasn't. So, let's get into it.
>> [music] >> I'm going to start this one this vlog off with this video off with everything that happened, and then we'll go into another video. I'll end this one and go into another one. Um I first want to start off with Let me just start off with what happened. All right, so went to Manila, and I seen some places beautiful places that my VA has set up for me short notice. She had gotten me with some realtors. I got to see a business consultant, which was amazing.
And then I got to They took me to eat, and then I got to meet some investment people to for investments in Manila.
Y'all, it was so amazing, and I did end up finding one of investment that I was interested in, and I'm still interested in. I'm just trying to wait until after I I all of these places to see all of the different investments cuz I go to dates to go see more investments. Every place I go I'm going to go see investments to see who has the best investments or if I want to do multiple investments. But um opportunity there. I can kind of go into that as well. So with Manila they had a villa that was well I'm sorry a condominium condominium that was 500,000 or you can pay 350,000 cash. So 150,000 off if you do cash. If you're going to finance it which their financing is not finance like the USA then it would be 10% down. So with that being said that's something I have to think about. Do I want to put the cash out up front or do I want to put the 10% down which would be 50,000 and then I pay only $897 a month and it has a potential to bring in $3600 minimum.
Yeah y'all that's that's right.
>> [laughter] >> It's in a prime location and they're still building it out it won't be ready until September October which to me I feel like December January of next year is what I would say. And it's it's really an amazing building. I'm really thinking about that one. I went and did that. I actually went to go see some houses which you guys will see some of the houses. You seen them I don't know if you seen them yet or if they're coming. I don't know how Grace is doing it. Grace is my VA my editor my assistant. I don't even want to call her virtual anymore cuz that's my sis. We I've met her and I plan on seeing her so much more. What's going to happen is is that once they do the build out and everything happens with the build out then I could either rent it out or I can move into it which I plan on renting it out renting it out or Airbnb in it either or you can do at that location.
Some places don't allow you to do that so you have to make sure you ask that.
There's certain questions you have to make sure you ask you guys and I think with me being a business owner I have learned to ask the right questions because of that because I have gotten played or you know haven't asked the right questions and then I'll end up not even getting played it just doesn't work out. So I had that happen. Also I went to go see some penthouses and the penthouses were 1.5 million 2 million like again I don't know if you guys seen it yet. Hopefully you guys already seen it. Yeah, we're going to make sure you see it. But you guys go watch the videos of the 1.5 million and the 2 million dollar penthouses. And honestly you guys, we get better in the USA. So I didn't really want to hop on either or of those opportunities. The only thing is that's different is that once you you pay the 1.5 million, you don't pay anything else again. But you do So this is a the catch-22 that made me like I mean it's still the same. You do have to pay the building fees or whatever. I don't know, maintenance fees and stuff.
So that's to me like property taxes.
That's how I feel. For me, I think I'm going to pass. I know I know I'm going to pass on those. Even with this one for 500 to 350, if I was to invest in it, just giving y'all a little bit of insight on me and how my brain works, I would invest in it. I would get it and before my 5 years is up, I would sell it. I wouldn't hold on to it because again, it's not something that I would I don't want to leave behind anything that has a bill that's still going on. So even once I pay it, there's still a maintenance fee. Maintenance is maintenance that I will get into it as a just to get my money as I go and then I will sell it and then make my money back. That's just me. That's my personal way of thinking. I I think it's a great way of thinking.
>> [laughter] >> Cuz I don't want to be responsible when I'm gone or my daughter be responsible from paying these fees still. I want to just be done with it and move on to the next investment property. And hopefully by 5 years it has grown in investments, which I haven't done my due diligence. I will look up and see how their market moves. Does it depreciate? Does it appreciate? I need to know what happens with their market. So I haven't done any of that yet. So I'll keep you guys posted. Actually, I won't keep you guys posted. That's something that I do in my school. If you would like to join my school, I keep them updated with all of this type of information. All of my plays, all of my whoopty pet plays. As a lot of you know, I haven't been working since October. Well, I haven't been I haven't I'm not saying working. I haven't been paid since October. I'm really just living off of my savings and my assets and stuff like that as of now because of the way that I don't know if you guys watch my other videos, but yeah, you can go look at my other videos and see why. But right now what I'm doing is I'm starting over is what I like to set call it. I'm starting over in my life and I'm putting it in my school. I'm putting all of my investment opportunities, all of the wealth things that I'm going to be doing as far as the trust and setting up bank accounts and how I'm going to be setting them up and what I'm going to be investing in. All of that is inside of my school. It's only $49 a month. If you're interested, the link is below. But let's get back to it. Cuz that's neither here nor there.
So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to keep traveling the world to see what investments I want to invest in, where I want to put the money at, and how I'm going to invest it, and also what businesses I want to open and where, and if I can live in each of these countries. So, let's get back to it. So, let's start with Manila. Manila is a great, great country. I love it. The food was okay. I'm not going to say it was good, like it was okay though. It was like a seven out of 10. I will say that compared to the USA, seven out of 10. The the people, oh my gosh, 10 out of 10. Everyone there is so nice. I love the people. I think that right now with me and what I've seen, I feel like it's kind of two-thirds war for me to like live there. I love it. I would love to do business there, but then again, after speaking to the business guy, once you guys watch that video, he kind of made me realize that it's still set up like the USA, really. They have an internal revenue service, they have all of those type of things, and I just really want to go somewhere where I can actually keep my money. You know, that's just me.
But that's what I would say about Manila. Manila Also, another thing is their their bugs. That's everywhere I've been. Mosquitoes are crazy and I I don't like that. But with Manila, I would say Manila was my first Philippines was my first country I went to and I really enjoyed it. I enjoyed meeting my BA and I had a ball with her and she was just the sweetest. Now, let's get to Manila, the the and why I am just now able to speak to you guys. And I'm just going to keep it real. So, I had another VA that had been working for me for like the past 6 months. I'm not really sure how long it's been, but her whole job was to make sure that all of this stuff was planned out. The business consultants, the realtors, the places we stayed, the flight. She's supposed to be a travel agent, right? None of that was really done. From Manila, it it happened on a whim whim but she lives there. So, I don't know she had had connections or she just like rushed and got that done, but it all unfolded and Grace was supposed to be with us, but she's not with us. She won't meet up with us until Vietnam because of this. And I just felt like that me being transparent, I should have did my due diligence and I should have been checking behind her. I really thought she was doing what she wanted to do. So, my whole point of saying this is that I plan on or I may plan on, I don't know. I plan on opening a VA virtual assistant business. And this is something I didn't plan on telling anybody, but I felt like that I need to This is the perfect time to tell people.
I wanted to do this before then and I had the other assistant VA, the one that I'm talking about. I don't I'm not going to say any names cuz she doesn't need that. Like she's still a sweet person.
She just didn't follow through and I didn't do my due diligence. So, it was really on me, but I want to start a a virtual assistant business and my whole point of saying this is that now that I've been through it, I know exactly what I'm supposed to do. I have to do my due diligence. She was just sending me over Excel sheets saying, "I did this, this, this, and that." But, where's the proof? Who are the people you spoke to?
Where's that at? I should have known the night before we came here she didn't have the books the flights booked. I had to go wake her up and say, "Hey, what time are y'all supposed to be leaving?"
And she's like, "Oh, I was waiting on you, T." What? This is what you do. So, and we And the night before I had told her exactly what flights I was getting on. So, I needed her to book It was a lot, y'all. And I don't even want to get on here and bash, but I just want to say that that opportunity or that encounter with her has made me realize that that is something that I have to be do my due diligence on for now on and I want to help other people as well. So I felt like with part of my school or not even school with everybody I can help them with with getting virtual assistance.
But my job would be to actually travel to the Philippines, train them, make sure that they know what they're doing, actually making sure that they are whatever they say they can do, I can see them do it and then proving it to me.
That would be what I would start and that's what I would do if I decide to do it now. I do so much that uh that was just something that I had told my VAs before I had got here that I wanted to do. So um we may still do it, we may not. If somebody else would like to do it, I will help them with um getting it started. No problem. Y'all know I'm not a gatekeeper. I want everybody to win.
There's enough money for everybody. Even if I start one, you can start one as well. Like it does not matter.
That is pretty much my experience with Manila. That happened at the end so it did not change my experience with them.
I went to Grace's I met Grace's mom. She has her business, you guys, like a bread business, y'all. Oh my gosh. The bread, like yes, she had a bread business. Her mom is so sweet. They're so little and so cute. Her we if you see in the video, her neighborhood, I really really really really wish that we was at her neighborhood longer. They kind of took me to the areas areas that was touristy areas and I wish that I would have gotten to go to Grace's neighborhood and stayed there a couple more days. I would have probably felt at home because they definitely were welcoming. The people are so nice and I'm going to start doing some interviews with the people because a lot of people feel like that people in Asia don't like other races and that's just not true. They do stare and they stare because they're amazed. Some of them have never seen another culture before. Some of them think that we are just goddesses and beautiful. Some of them they just they're amazed. So stop the stereotyping. You have to just come here and experience it for yourself, you guys. That is it on this video. I just talked about Manila, Philippines, you guys. Make sure that you like, subscribe, put your comments below. Let me know what you think about that. We're going to go ahead and I'm going to go ahead and go to the next video and talk about where I'm at now because I went from Shang Oh, no, I'm not Uh, yeah, the next video is going to be Shang Mai and I'm going to keep this same outfit on so y'all going to see it.
So, whatever for the next two videos cuz I just I just want to get this over with before I have to go and do my next thing cuz I was I want to make sure I'm keeping this stuff fresh in my head before I actually move on and go to the next thing and I Y'all, y'all see me in the next video.
So, comment, like, comment, say whatever you want to say below. Give me some encouraging words. I don't feel like I want to go home yet, y'all. That is a good thing. Probably cuz I got my daughter with me and we just enjoying ourselves. So, I will see y'all in the next video. Bye.
