Tribe announces plans for casino and healthcare expansion

[00:00:00]Thanks, Colleen. An update on projects and accomplishments at today's Redding Rancheria State of the Tribe.

[00:00:13]The State of the Tribe getting started with a drum circle in a packed event center at Win-River Resort and Casino.

[00:00:19]Rancheria's CEO Tracy Edwards' presentation included a history of the tribe, cultural preservation, Native American events, and the tribal health system, including the tribal health village under construction. The most exciting thing the tribe is working on right now is our health village. If you're on to Highway 273, you can't miss it. We are expected to finish construction on it in the summer of 2027. It's an amazing 195,000 square foot facility.

[00:00:48]And we are working towards moving our casino to I-5. Our casino relocation project is on track and we are are moving forward.

[00:00:56]Ah, yes, the casino and eventual hotel and event center. The future of Win-River Resort and Casino. We had a dollar for every time we were asked when we are breaking ground, we could have already paid for that new casino.

[00:01:09]But she also mentioned that some are working to try and stop it. The opponents of our project have significant resources behind them.

[00:01:18]The Redding Rancheria subsequently joined the litigation as a named party.

[00:01:22]The case is fully briefed and submitted to the court.

[00:01:25]We expect a favorable decision by the end of 2026.

[00:01:29]The lawsuits are merely a delay tactic that has cost the tribe and community millions of dollars.

[00:01:35]I optimistically predict that the next time we are delivering the State of the Tribe, the new casino will be well underway.
