The recent 50-70% value loss in SaaS companies represents a market overreaction rather than a fundamental threat, as AI will integrate with existing SaaS workflows rather than replacing them entirely, with different layers of the technology stack facing varying levels of risk.

AI's Impact on SaaS: Market Overreaction?Ajouté :
Speaking Speaking of you know, market over reactions, you know, recently we had the SAS apocalypse, right? Where a lot of SAS companies lost 50, 70% of their value seemingly overnight. Do you feel like that's just a a market overreaction or do you feel like the incumbents like I don't know, Salesforce and other SAS players like that are really threatened in this new wave of I think AI is definitely a real trend that will impact these businesses. I think the stock market reaction is overblown.
I think the way that SAS companies operate will evolve to incorporate AI.
So with the the way I think about it, it's not SAS, it's like AI plus SAS. So it'll just look different and you still have to do these workflows. I don't think AI will do everything for you for a while at least. And depending on where you are in that stack, you're at different layers, different levels of risk, right?
