As stated by the Endocrine Society, more than [music] 50 patient and professional organizations, including the Endocrine Society themselves, contributed to the process of renaming this condition. They agreed that PCOS contributed to the inadequate treatment and misdiagnosis for this [music] condition that affects more than 170 million women worldwide.
