[00:00:05]The answer really depends on the timing as well as the delivery technique being used. If the tubal is being performed immediately after a C-section, then the spinal or epidural that were used for the section typically provide anesthesia for this procedure.

[00:00:19]If the tubal ligation is going to be performed later on on the day of delivery or the next day, and the patient still has a functioning epidural, that can often be used. If not, other options include spinal anesthesia, another epidural, or occasionally general anesthesia.
