Call for Tax Suspension Amid Gas Price Surge from War in Iran

In the last election, the American people voted to end these forever wars and make [music] life more affordable. Two months ago, the people in power started a new war in Iran, a war that nobody asked for, raising gas prices here at home. Here's what we can do. Every time you fill up your tank, you're paying a hidden tax.

[00:00:26]I'm proposing that we suspend it. That will immediately drop the price of gas by 18 cents a gallon. I'm also calling [music] to suspend the federal diesel tax. Everything you buy was shipped by diesel. Your groceries, your clothes, your medicine. Cheaper diesel means cheaper everything. Suspend the gas tax.
