Social media influencers like IShowSpeed can significantly impact a nation's tourism and youth development by bringing international attention to the country, promoting cultural exchange, and inspiring young people to pursue their passions. However, this influence requires responsible guidance from parents and educators to ensure positive outcomes, as influencers can shape how millions of young people perceive their country and potential career paths.

Hey guys, what going on everybody? Welcome to my live. Travel Sam TV is here. Yeah manbody welcome.
Please hit the like button please and chance. just want to do, you know, not going to be a long life. Just going to be one of those live that we can have a talk, you know, I always have a little opinion on things and I love to put questions out there so that you can join into the question or join in with some of the answers. What do you think?
Recently, we have a social media influencer or a streamer in Jamaica.
Uh, good life said double tap the screen everyone to like the video. I appreciate that please. Thank you. We have eight persons online right now. Just be nice today and like the video. Yeah, we have a little topic here today. You know, what do you think about the social media um streamer or the streamer that was present in Jamaica and in fact in the Caribbean recently? What influence did you think he have on Jamaica? Live, love, and laugh. Blessings everyone. How you doing? Thank you for joining. Thank you for joining. um just decided today we're going to have a you know a little talk.
You know I always love to look at the positive sides of things and when it comes on to Jamaica um I know there's a lot of things that is happening in Jamaica that is in the media that is in the news that is getting out of the island and it's not nice don't it? No it's not nice it's negative but as I always reassure you that you know you're not going to find those news here. We're not going to share those news on this platform. This platform is reserved for the positive things only. And that's what I try my best to to to to stick to.
And I'm not saying that to say that well I am not observing negative things. I do see them in my day-to-day life here in Jamaica. As with any other country, we do have these things. Um live love said awesome. Thank you very much. Yeah, we do have um a lot of negative stuff in other countries too. People can highlight them if they want and in Jamaica they are here. And if you go on YouTube right now, you'll find a lot of people covering those stuff. Now, Travel Sam TV is not one that choose to do that. Um, there should be a space on social media that if you want to hear some positive things and some things that is happening in Jamaica positively.
You should be able to come to a channel like this and say, "Wow, that going Jamaica that Jamaica say that's going on in Jamaica." So even though you see the topic the title saying did I show speech visit what influence what impact did you believe that it have on Jamaica did you believe it impact Jamaica in a positive way it's up to you to tell me but I'm going to share my thoughts on it you know and we are going to have a look also in the time that we're living in the era that we're living in you know and and and the the young people the kids in Jamaica I don't know if any other country but I Jamaica right now it's child month. We are celebrating child month in Jamaica right now. And um it it happened that it's all about celebrating our children. Yeah.
It's all about celebrating our children and um what and everything that can impact our children. For me personally, it's it's um it's important to me. I always have a have a look at it.
Sorry guys.
Sorry about that guys.
Directing some props.
So yeah, everything that takes place in, you know, that affect our kids. It's it's it's important to me. It's so please note in Jamaica it's child month.
So if you have a child in Jamaica, if you have influence or impact or influence on any young person in Jamaica or you have are in touch with anyone in Jamaica that's the child, give a little extra love to them. Show them a little extra kindness. Talk to them a little extra more. Counsel them a little bit more, you know, show them some more attention. This month is designated for them, child month. And so we have a a a influencer who were was in Jamaica. And um if you notice the people who he impacted more were the youngsters, the children, the young people. They were the one who were crying for him, shouting for him. And if you know who is I show speed dice, just give me a thumbs up in the comment. Just, you know, give me a thumbs up so that I will not believe that you're all in the dark to know who is this person that I'm talking about. I show speed in uh streamer, a USA streamer. If you know who I'm talking about, there's eight of you.
Give me a thumbs up and also give me a thumbs up on the likes. the same time.
Yeah, man. Just let me know that this is a person and you know who I'm talking and you are aware also of what took place here in Jamaica when he arrived.
Now guys, I have never seen this before.
One little young man no more than 21 years of age have such a influence not only on Jamaica but on the world. And um while some people might criticize and say why you wear a puppy show it is something that we have to stop take a notice take a look and observe and say yo is is is this is something else a movement like this this young man is able to pull millions of viewers and predominantly there are a lot of young people that is viewing him. So he's pulling or he's influencing millions of young people who will form our nation tomorrow. You get the point I'm making people. Yeah, man. Talk to me chat man alone up on this thing. know the influence I want to I want to highlight the magnitude of what this young boy is going on with you know he's able at any one of his stream you have I believe if I can do my math good 53 million people watching him at any one time and there are millions of followers that he have on his channel in fact let me quickly you know jump over let me let me quickly look at at his channel to see something no I'm serious millions of viewers following this young man at any given time. It's whether we want to admit it or not, it speaks something and it shows how much somebody can influence people, right? When he was in other islands, he was in Trinidad, he was in all of these people places, I I was like, "Okay, well, they know him, they know those country." And good morning.
Good morning, Wayne. how you doing?
Bless up yourself. And I I was saying no when it come Jamaica go other country. But to my surprise guys when I heard that even there was a young man who was sleeping at the airport waiting for him camp out. And if you should go back on the youth on the channel you will see you you'll see the amount of reaction that he get from Jamaica.
And so so I'm saying no guys. I'm saying no guys.
Is it healthy? Is it safe? Is it good?
What is happening in in the world? Like one person can influence so many people.
And then you go and research what what type of content um he creates, what type of content he create. and um h we we look and his content he first started out as a gamer basically in his room. we have we we have seen documentary with with the situation and the problem that he got in with his parents his mother um didn't want him to stream and that's another point I wanted to bring out I'm going to bring out now before I get further I show speed followers the amount of subscribers I show speed have is 53 call it 54 million people 54 million people follow this young man and while he's streaming They were also there with him. I see 100,000 people watching when he was in It's 100,000 people.
You maybe start watching late. It was 50. It was th millions of people watching him while he was in Jamaica.
100,000 was a chicken feed. No, seriously. Go back and check it out again. It was millions.
There's a number there that speaks to the total amount of people that basically um watching and um I think it was in the million. You could be right, but I think it was also in the millions.
I think at one point it peaks up there where people were just watched it and the subscri subscriber was just growing, growing, growing, growing, growing, growing. 53 million subscribers. Keep going, keep going, keep going. He's like, "Yo, this is what I call influence."
And the influence that he have is on our young people. Now he came to Jamaica and Jamaica show up in terms of showing this young man what it means to be a visitor in Jamaica. What it means to be in Jamaica.
I'm going to say though I was I I was proud. I was feeling good. I I actually felt good. And I'm giving my personal opinion on the matter of this streamer who came to Jamaica. Yes. Uh the he shared Jamaica on the world stage promoting our culture. Now this is this is the the reason that I want to hear and thank you good life is that I asked the question how did that benefit Jamaica and I I notice I don't go straight up to start to tell you how it how I believe it benefit Jamaica but I have my thoughts on it and I'm going to share it later on. But I'm just building the case around magnitude and how much social media influencers can impact a space, impact a world, impact a community.
And I believe attention need to be paid to to to what is being done by social media influencers. Gone are the days when your news are safeguarded by a media house.
No. Gone are the days when a media house can put out a a promotion or production and give you what they feel that they want to give you. Um if a television station read your news tonight and you don't feel go you can go on social media and find the truth. Yeah.
Good life said I should it should boost tourism in JA. Uh, I'm going to I'm going to start to comment on your comment. Um, good life. Those are some excellent point. Wayne said, "Hopefully Jamaica can get more flights and Airbnb hotels booking." That's a point and that's right up my alley because, you know, that's the business I'm in.
Transportation, tourism, and I and and that's why it get my attention. Again, as I said, this month is child month.
Please guys, please hit the like button for me, please. And if you're not a subscriber, this is a channel that you can't afford not to subscribe to.
Please, please. I am at 11,200 and something. I need to get even by the live to finish. Help me to be 11,300.
All right. Thank you as you come in. So what I'm saying is that is Mace Child and I have to look at the at what is happening in the world. How how and island tour? Yes, definitely definitely how it impact our youngsters.
Remember I said you know predominantly those who follow this young man are young kids young people and those these young people are the leaders of tomorrow the movers and shakers of tomorrow and they are being influenced by a young man from the United States called I show speed sorry for me he's a very interesting character I don't know about you. I don't know if you're watching guys, but I did follow him when I heard all of that because you know I pay attention to social media and neat because I am employed by Google.
I'm a YouTuber. So, so what happened in the space with my fellow coworkers? I have to know just like have to know with good life in Jamaica. Yeah, man.
Yeah, definitely. Love know everybody.
All right. They're working, they're putting out their content and the content up to date and things are going on. big up yourself again. Good Life in Jamaica, guys. If you're not, if you don't check out Good Life yet, check out Good Life in Jamaica. He has commented a few times here. I guess he's still here watching. Remember again, hit the like button. So, yeah. So, I watch it. I follow what's happening with with with um I show Speed and I I like the energy that this young man have. I I he might not be liked by a lot of people because of him go on and some people say, these are some words I heard, he behave like a spoiled kid. He did all that stuff. But you don't have to like him. But you know what I like about him?
He's dedicated to what he's doing. His work ethics, how he manage everything around him. If his stream is not up to par, he's not going any further until he fix that because quality he he he he bring he want quality. He pay attention to to detail.
And then the next thing I see pay attention to is that when he's passing even those bodyguards were I think them can take some work because the bodyguards are bodyguarding him. This is my take. The bodyguards are bodyguarding I show speed as if you know he's not a a child like he's not a child influencer mean that he's a children influencer. He influence young people and um and if he influence young people it means that young people are going to follow him.
I've seen bodyguard been pushing young kids. You know, sometimes see them fall.
I was like, "Come on, man. Take time with the kids because that's who build him. That's who makes him who he is.
That's he they are the one who make them have a job." Because if they never want him and they never like him, he would not be who he is. So, I think the bodyguards can take some work and know how to deal with the young people and the kids because they are all they want to do was take a picture of them and, you know, running behind him and all of that. I think they can take time with them. Yeah. Uh, CNS Travel. Hey, what's going on? Welcome to my live. Hey everybody, welcome to my live at Sith Travel. Glad to have you here.
Glad to have you here. Yes, Wayne.
That's that's what I noticed. So, they can take some work. And I'm saying they're not bodyguarding a politician and all of these things. They are bodyguarding a young boy 21 years of age who influence young people. So, it means that you have to take time with the young people. Yeah, man. I've seen some crazy stuff that they did and like no, that's not right. But yeah, I like I show speed work. I show speed work ethics. I like how he pay attention to details. I like how he he manages his business and he know what he wants even and there are some things that I see happening to happen to um Yeah. Plus the planet store for real.
And there are some things that I see happen to with him. And I think some of the planners around him in the Jamaica tour didn't brief him too well. Yeah, I think they did not brief him too well. I think he came into some com I don't know if that's his intention or that's how he wants it but this is my observation and I'm sharing it. I I believe that they could have briefed him well in in in the pond where he get in touch in contact with some of Jamaican celebrities so to speak. Yeah. You know I remember when he met Bobsy range he's like oh this is antibi that's what the person tell this is anti who is antibi you are international person influencer you are meeting a government representative you should be properly introduced so that he knows who he's talking to he knows who is around so those are some thing that I see I remember when they took him to even with bean man he wasn't properly introduced it was when he was in the car he heard a somebody in the chat said something and he look at him and like oh you are the guy who did song and I was like, "Yeah."
So, no. So, so to me, those are some of the things that I see is like kind of rangish, you know. He have another one that um I think Shenia he wasn't properly to me you know properly introduce her or even let him know that because throughout the whole tour this young man was singing one of her song and now he's in the presence of her and didn't even recognize to me that it was she you know and I see other cases to where he met people and they didn't tell him who he was. Um, CNS Travel said, "Influencers, creators have to be uh careful and make sure careful and make sure to put out positive messages and not to so read negative." Yes. Yes. Yes.
Yes. Yes. That's that's and that's where we stand.
They was move they were moving too fast.
Yeah. While they were moving fast, if you want the to maintain positivity though, you have to continue to talk to him and let him know what he's doing.
But I I I must agree again with CNS um travels is you know we influencers have a responsibility. Now can you be guaranteed with that responsibility that they have? No. You know because people will always be people. They will always do what work because sadly enough sadly negativity sells. Negativity is what that what you know move fast. Um, I am now at 11,000 subscribers and I'm pretty well sure that if Travel Sam TV was going around Jamaica finding the scoops and all of that, I would have been maybe 25,000 subscribers by now.
So, negativity sells. Nobody want to see Travel Sam TV channel in that magnitude, you know. Um, I have to be begging right now for likes. 23 people, seven likes.
Get the point I'm making? You know, if I was here doing some negative stuff maybe on the politicians of Jamaica and beating them down and beating down this system possibility I would have got a lot of likes too. So just saying negativity do sells. So we cannot entrust create um content creator now to say okay you must put out positive stuff. They will not because what they are in it for is they in it to make it any means necessary. So is to put is to bring down Jamaica. They will bring it down so that they can get the reaction.
But I'm one who say I'm going to stick to the positive. I'm going to continue for the love of my island Jamaica. For the love of my business, for the love of who I am, I will continue to maintain and to fight for the positive things in Jamaica. So I do appreciate, let me say this right now, I do appreciate ISO speed. I show speed coming to Jamaica and turning an international spotlight on this beautiful island.
It's priceless.
He brings some eyes to Jamaica that has never maybe seen Jamaica before.
He brought eyes to Jamaica that have never heard maybe of a Jamaican song before. He was able to go to Bob Marley's home where where Bob Marley used to live. He was able to go to some places. He was meet he was meeting people, you know. Well, I took him to the ghetto, too. And so, people were able to see that what the ghetto of Jamaica look like. And he he saw bad roads and s and funny enough when I saw the bad roads I was like, you know, my channel positive already still. So, if I was to even drive around and I like bad roads, man, I would not I would have my channel would be like bad roads channel.
But when I saw the bad road, I was like, Mhm. I hope the government see this and feel shame. Yeah. Because millions of people were watching those craters in the road. Craters.
I was wondering one of the time if the vehicle go down going to come back out and I was like, I hope the government of Jamaica some shame to say, you know what, tomorrow morning as Ghana, I'll fix it. But anyway, I do hope so. So, you know, it it happens. It do happen.
And we I must say that I am happy that he came here. He you know it it it give Jamaica a little injection of of boost bringing some minds to Jamaica. Even if some of the kids who are watching Jamaica are kids that can't book their own ticket yet. I am sure that when they get to the age they were like I should speed went to this island and I'm now I'm now going to book my ticket to Jamaica because out of all the Caribbean island Jamaica was the one. If anybody's here if anybody's here from any other island please don't come for travel. All right. I just have my own take on that.
I just always believe that Jamaica is the capital of the Caribbean. Sorry guys.
I have to say yeah. Yeah, Wayne said, "Do you think some of the houses, housing development kind of overpriced?"
All right, good point. Good question.
I'm going to come to that. Going to come to that. Going to come to that. I I mentioned some time ago about how the housing market is in Jamaica. And a lot of my content now um cover some of the development, right? Cover the development. And uh covers a lot of development. And I and I want to say again guys that I don't just show development in Jamaica. I do a lot of different vlogs. If you go through my channel, you'll see that I'm a traveler.
I I I do content and different stuff. I travel in Jamaica and outside of Jamaica. I have trips. I have cruise. In fact, stay tuned. Watch the page. Watch my channel because there's a lot of stuff in store. I have uh vlogs coming up, not only development. And all I'm asking please when you see it pop up, just watch it. Don't just watch development, man. cuz that's you know it's funny when I post a video I see 300 views a video on any other vlogs 300 views and when I post another one about oh development Jamaica thousand view I was like what come on guys watch my videos man but anyway I have 10 likes 28 people hit the like button you're new to my channel if you ever leave a subscriber you see anyway yeah so the prices of the homes that's been built in Jamaica if they are overpriced. Now what do you call overpriced depending you know I am not first let me say I'm not a trained realtor I'm not one that is in the housing business it's a love that I have and I always follow these things and I learn a few stuff and I understand a few stuff the prices a lot of times are dictate dictated to by the demand the demand And if Jamaica if if there wasn't a demand for these homes in Jamaica, I don't believe those prices would have been so high. If you understand what I'm saying, uh let me read uh all of uh this saying remember the reason why they don't tell him who these people were is because they wanted genuine re reactions from him. That is the point of his visit. Okay. Okay. I will accept that it makes sense. As I said before, I was just sharing my observation and you know may have my own little thing in my head or me think you should have go you know everybody do have cuz you know if I put out a video today somebody would comment and say you should have done this you should have done that. It's it's life.
It's what people do. So I do expect your and appreciate your your your thoughts and that and and and I and I could see through that too. I can see through that that you know and I was wondering that also that is it that he said it that way where I just want to react you know again your point because if he didn't know that he was being man he maybe that reaction wouldn't seem so genuine he look said you the red bull like so I said I love my my sub my viewer I love my subscribers I'm going to assume that you're a subscriber I'm going to I'm going to assume that you're a subscriber so please if you're not a subscriber subscriber cuz I love my small people, you know. Yeah, that's a great point.
So, that answer that question. All right. Yeah. Back to the pricing. Back to the pricing. There are demands. There are demands for homes in Jamaica. Supply and demand. So, because it is on high demand, the prices are pumped up. If you want my cup to buy from me, if it's only one person want it or two person want it, then I go sell it. But when this one cup here, everybody want it. Yo, thousands of people want it. I go say what and put the price up and then the bid come said no no no put it up higher. So it it drive the prices up. So so when people are saying the house are too expensive you have to understand that the sellers the developers are looking at a market that is demanding homes and want it and buying it up to can I tell you something that they are selling like hot bread.
You know what hot bread is?
Mean that the bread just come over to the bakery and people can't wait to bite because me tell you something. We love hot bread especially they put some butter in it and anyway so the homes are selling fast. So yes it can be said that the prices are too high or they are over but I don't know if I want to use the price the term overpriced. I believe that they are high in price because of the demand for them.
Yeah they are very high. Now also we need to understand that developers are not government. They are regulated. Yes.
But if I make something government can't tell me that I can't sell it for XY price. There must be a price ceiling. Of course I believe they're operating within that um ceiling. All right. So that you what Wayne said but we need more local to buy up these homes. Now that's the thing.
I am in transportation and um I would love locals to come and hire me and charter me for me to take them to places but the prices that is set in tourism is somewhat different from the local transport operators. In tourism, our prices are a little bit different and you know, I would love that to happen. But the thing is that you're in a business to make a profit and so they are not looking at the local they don't even care who want it as long as it's been sold. So when when a developer develop a property, his thing is that all right, maybe I go to the bank and get it financed. His thing is that I need X amount of um profit on my properties. I'm going to sell them and I'm going to go my board and I'm going to meet my board and we're going to decide the price on these units and then this money come with a price and when they get 306 million phone call he say what let's pump the price up a little bit more let's maximize how much I can get as return he not thinking about local oh thank you for tuning in thank you for tuning in glad to have you glad to have you please hit the like button as you come in there's only 10 likes 33 people watching Please hit the like button. I would really appreciate that. And while you hit the like button also, I appreciate you not leave without subscribing if you're not a subscriber.
CN Travel says that's a problem in a lot of places around the world. The housing market price are out local of local. Yeah, it is true. It is true.
It is true cuz no local are going to be able to buy a home in Jamaica. And when I said no local, I mean regular 9 to5 people will be able to purchase a home valued at over $500,000.
Um, and these are the these are town houses too. 500 $600,000 US. It goes up to a million US sometime. Yeah. And and so it it is going to be out of their reach for real. So right then and there you can understand that the developer is not creating it for a certain demography or a certain scale pay scale of people. If it has been created for a certain pay scale those who have the means of affording or the means of financing it and they are going for that. It's like think about it it's like the German cars or Toyota. Toyota makes some cars.
Toyota make some cars that regular 9to5 can buy and they make some cars that the regular 95 cannot even dream of getting one.
You get the point I'm making now. So again they are now the market is there but they are appealing to wish market.
They can get the biggest profit. Now only thing we can do is to appeal to their conscience and say please just do some nice house like this so that the local can buy it know. So here is where the government come in now because I have to remind myself all the time that yo developers are not government. They are not responsible is not their responsibility to provide housing for um poor people so to speak. They are not responsible. Their business is to create is is to make a profit is to build houses and sell. That's their view.
That's their thing. They're in it for a profit. It's not their responsibility and so whose responsibility it is the people that we have employed as government we employed some workers that's why they are called government workers because they work for the people and we said all right I wanted to use our money which is the taxes and the this and that and you name it our government make we make money already all that money belong to us our money every money where the government have is our money and so we employ them. We employ the the um the finance minister.
We have employ one man who oversee everybody. They call him the prime minister um you know the minister. We employ a minister for education. You name it. We employ these people so that they can handle our affairs.
See travels. It's sad. Look it is. Yeah. Yeah. It is sad. All right.
So we employ them so that they can manage our affair. I wish I can I wish I could talk to more people sometime and explain that to them in Jamaica because they seem to get it twisted that somehow somehow we work for them but they don't remember or people don't remember that you employ them. And so that's why every four to 5 years you can actually fire them or rehire them. Remember that. So no way you're going to see Travis Sam running behind anybody saying no bossy bossy bossy. No you I dare not call a MP bossy or boss. No.
Did you see your enthusiasm enthusiasm for Milford outrage as for place re as better as a as for re as a better layout? or Alvine is asking if Milford Ridge and um Rivera if there are better layout. I'm trying to understand the question.
Didn't see your enthusiasm for Milford which as for Oh, you were trying to gauge my enthusiasm versus Felicia Rivera. Um I hope I'm I hope I'm understanding you.
What I I think about it with that with this Milford Ridge I am trying to get better on what I'm doing better in what I'm doing in terms of when I go to these places to I like them to remember first thing first I am not paid to do it I am not paid to do it sometime people call me and say you can showcase this for me because I'm a travel a channel that is being built I I take the opportunity of showcasing it because it helps my channel and I want the I need help. So, I'm not being paid. That's first things first. I'm not being paid for it. And And so, when I So, I'm learning now to be a better each video I put out, I try to be better at it. My reaction, what I do, I try my best to be better at that. So I was deliberate in not being too overly involved in this video in in Milford and allow the presenter to showcase or to show and to explain the beauty or you know the high points in what was there.
So my reaction was a bit tempered or tempered if I should say. Palacio I think that was my first openhouse on my channel. So yeah, I was excited of course. So it it is something there. But for me, Milford Ridge, Palicio, beautiful property, beautiful properties. This one that I did, Milford is a townhouse, different from the detached house in Palisio. So So you know, thank you, um, Wayne. Thank you. Yeah, man. So that's I hope that answer your question. So it's not that I was choosy who I should be enthused about but I'm trying to you know get this thing better better vlogging better everything we're trying to grow you know you know young a youth I just start this thing 2024 you know behind the camera I wasn't even used to sharing myself on the camera but y'all here I am sitting before you guys for 38 minutes now and um I only have 10 likes still need more 10 likes you understand I appreciate that you understand yeah so there will be more videos to come because again as I said people reach out to me to come and showcase places and again you know people think that I might be getting paid. No I'm not. I hope to get paid one of these days cuz of course I'm in the transportation business and right now it's it's the you call it tourist season in Jamaica. Tourist season is kind of down so it's not up. So anywhere you can get your employment from you have to take it. And that's why I always be guys please like my video, subscribe to my video because even YouTube right now, you know, it's it's it's a potential way of making um a revenue at the moment because you know I'm a very small channel and so you understand so we want to grow and that's why I appreciate all of you even being here with me today.
The problems start when the government allows them to price the house in US dollar. That is why prices are inflated.
Oh, Alva.
Alvado. Yeah. Yeah. And that's a great point. But I I Is it a case though where the government allowed them to price in US dollar or is it something that they can't control? Because uh how should I put it?
The value for Jamaican dollar is literally nothing. Literally none. And so there's a point in time when I thought that Jamaica would maybe start to spend US straight because if for a dollar devalue as much as that and um doesn't value anything much then you know US dollar is the next one. So I do understand then the point I'm making too is that I believe they're appealing to the US market because imagine you hear somebody selling something for 77 or $700 million or in house you're going to be like but you hear about 400,000 you're going to be like okay okay let me have a look at that that's an interesting price let me send some money to let me let me fly down to Jamaica and see if I can grab one of these places. Yeah. So, so I see the sales strategy also in that to price it in US and and and the thing you know is that they price it ad how should I put it they advertise it in US dollar price but I don't believe it just price in US because the Jamaican value is there too but because of the appeal for the US market or the overseas market you will see it advertised with a US dollar price cuz I am living in Jamaica I don't have US dollar and if I could come up with that equivalent in Jamaican, they they're going to take it because that's what it is sold for. So for so the US dollar attaching to to the um advertisement. I believe it's just an advertising it. Yeah, that's my belief too. Hopefully you can get some vlog on the container house the government will be giving out after hurricane minister.
I need to go down that side for real. I need to go I'm back to the government doing this is what they do now with our money. They need to look at the need of the people who can't afford because again we said that's what we employ them for and um they need to say all right we're going to build these houses and we're going to allow the low income earners a a pathway to own one of these houses.
Now we need to get to the point where they don't build these mediocre houses.
Some little box and gas or them call it box and cast. We know that term some little stuff and say we going to sell it for how much thousand too. No, I believe the standard have to lift that. I have to lift it and we have to get the housing development at some nice areas new and as we speak about that I remember. All right. So Wayne said before I get back to Jamaican dollar sales numbers would would be more higher than the US price would make the number look smaller but higher in exchange rate. Okay. Okay. Great point. Thank you for that.
So, I just did a video um in St. Mary where I went to the site that ground was broken in April to construct over 360 homes. And those homes now will be for middle inome to low-inccome earners and and and regular Jamaican, local Jamaican. As we all said, what got my attention is that the area that it has been going to be built is a very nice elevated area. Go on my channel and you'll see it. You overlook the ocean.
Yeah, you are. Some people currently say it's not ocean, the sea. We're not surrounded by the car by the ocean.
We're surrounded by the Caribbean the sea. Forgive me. Jamaica, you know. Um, yeah, I'm going to say ocean. I'm going to say sea interchange. Forgive me.
Bypass it. Ignore it. Don't worry about it.
So yeah, so that place it's a beautiful it's in Galina St. Mary.
Galina St. Mary where they are selling these houses up there that they're now selling the M. They recently broke ground and house is going to commence building very soon. I will be keeping my eyes on that because again as I said I hear the people that people need to have access to these to homes and good areas.
This is a place that I like where they're going to build it. What type of structure is going to be there? I have no clue yet. I hope that there are structures that are tangible and look good modern structure.
But time for government build homes for local people, you know, box up something something. So then when you buy improvement come with some nice design if it's a onebedroom or a twobedroom modern design just like Palisia just like um Milford Ridge. Yeah.
Do some nice design. Make the people them feel good too because if we are changing Jamaica we have to change it straight through. There's no way you can have a high section and then you keep the low section low. Bring the thing together up. So if the standard of living is going to be going up, we have to bring every standard up. Have you heard of the sanctuary development in St. Mary? Sanctuary? No, I haven't. I haven't. But my my focus is on St. Mary this month. So I'm going to Thank you for saying this. I'll be looking at that one, too. I'm going to check it out. I have some more vlogs coming up and I'll be looking at St. Mary because St. Mayor once used to be known as a forgotten parish and I am happy to see that the ground was broken. The prime minister was there 360 homes will be built there.
So so you know it it looks good.
Yeah man. I'm going to check on that.
I'm going to check on that. Definitely we'll be checking on that. Yeah it look good.
So yeah guys it is what it is. Jamaica for me for me understanding Jamaica now again as I said I keep it positive is that where Jamaica was and I going to use the word was in terms of development I am keeping my eyes on where it is going in terms of development because if you want to know if a country also is progressing you judge it too of the development and the investment because the amount of investors that are coming into Jamaica, if this island was not poised at a place for great business and growth, nobody would want to invest. I wouldn't invest in a place that I see is going down, crime riddle and people is just doing all type of stuff and poverty and that I wouldn't invest because I was saying this is just my money in a place where nothing go on. So the the the light should go off long time so something go on something them see something maybe regular Jamaican locals don't see this is where I come this is where I am poking my head in to find out what go on and where them see why when you go down to Montego Bay when you leave them when you leave um they start development years ago but I see people selling been very selling very say because it's had beautiful views. Okay. Okay.
Give me some more detail than that. Um which which one of development you're talking about? The sanury.
Yeah. Now what I'm saying is that if you go down to Montego Bay travel out of Montego Bay coming towards Ourus when you're on the elegant corridor you know that I stretch your double in call elegant corridor all the way to Rosal elegant corridor when you finish the elegant corridor and you start going up to Lilyut you see the development taking place there moon palace is slated to start building Anova and Westland needed definitely definitely I believe I believe there's there there's plans for those two and I heard too when you look at the the elegant corridor you look at Moon Palace that plan to build about a large hotel right there and that section of the billow wall recently going to be like the highest building in Jamaica when it is finished and in the Caribbean English speaking Caribbean going to be about 33 or 34 four stories high like that's Moon Palace right down there going to be taken over from the pinnacle in Montego Bay which is now standing at 28 stories and um first tower completed second tower is now working and it's going to be four towers check out my channel you see all those videos of it too then right beside the moon palace you have uno huge development millions of dollars then beside Unico going up grown they break down a long for for um Odd Rock Hotel. So the Odd Rock Hotel a lot of people call the Unicoard Rock because you know they really don't get the information but Travis always find out the information. So Odd Rock Hotel would be built beside the Unico going up on that all that stretch going to be a hotel. Now nobody want to invest so much money in Jamaica if that wasn't going to be a viable means of earning or trust me. So you go down to Anova.
I think they only have the Princess Hotel. Big development, big investment.
So in my understanding is that money has been invested. Here is where we come in now. We have to make sure the government not th out the money them mismanage it and misspend it. This is the problem we should have with any government.
keep the island at a place where it is attractive to investors and when they do invest, make sure that it is been spent correctly.
That's it. If they misspend it, mismanage it, fire them. And if it come to the test, you imprison sounds hard, but that's true. Which I haven't seen any I don't remember when I've seen a politician go to prison any country at all.
that prison weren't made for politicians.
Yeah. You know, that's that's where it come now. Again, I would say this quickly. It doesn't matter which party it is, which side of the the the companies that is employed. And I use the word company. I've explained this sometime before where um because I have people come on my my my channel and tell me that I am a supporter of this and I'm a supporter of that because I showcase something and say kudos to the government or big up to the government and people come and say oh yeah anything Andrew do you you don't see all this big it up it just happened that since this channel been started is only Andrew been leading that's a side that's in part in government and I'm going to look for the positive thing that any government is doing because we applied it don't and I'm going highlight it. If tomorrow morning the people of this island decide that we're going to fire the government that Mr. Andrew lead and we're going to employ the next government, I will find the positive that that government is doing and I like it. Then you tell me what they going to say about me that time cuz I keep telling people that's all I do.
Don't brand travel as no J L P or no P.
It don't make sense.
Good question. I'm going to answer that.
But let me clear up this one. It don't make sense to brand because it don't make sense. Ain't no fit for me as a person. If I'm building a home, I want to build a house and I need to hire a contractor to build that house. I need to go to a contract company that you know that that do house building. And there there going to be more than one company say two then going up to compete for the contract to build my house within that company. These people who formed that company went ahead and they get plumber electrician you name it and make them company. And then when me advertise me need somebody to run for build this me then them come and apply and me look through the company I say all right you look like you have that and I choose one out of the two company to work for me.
The company have uniform that they wear and the colors and logos and all of that stuff them business that when you come and work for me I am not going to take your company shirt and put on whether it be green or orange put on your company shirt.
No, because I don't work for your company. Now, if I work for your company, that's different. But no, I don't. You I employ you as a company. So when you come in the orange, you green your company shirt and you work for me.
Just make sure you do the work. I'm not going to be running behind you and saying boss boss boss when I go pay you at the end of the month.
You get the point I'm making. It don't make no sense. of 15 if this company is not completing the task that I give him at time I will fire the company I will hire the next company that's how government works it's a company you have the company come together name JP another company name PMP them employ we employ one of the company them two company why put a green work for the company so why you call me J call me I'm not a work of the company that's why I can I criticize and that's why I can dig them up if they're doing the job. Let's get that out the way. Moving on. The question was, have you thought about getting your real estate license?
Should I keep that as a surprise? Watch the ride. You'll see later on.
Yeah. Watch the ride. Watch the ride.
Watch the ride. Watch the ride. Good question. Watch the ride.
Ah, when is saying Ar hotel? I think there is one in Mexico. Is it? I know the Unico is from Mexico. In fact, the Unico that has been built is the first one outside of Mexico and Jamaica is the one that is is been building. I'm going to check for the Hard Rock Hotel there is in Mexico. I know it's in the US and Casino will be there. All of that stuff.
Yeah, guys, please like the live. I should have got more likes than this, you know. Sure. Go on. Some man hit the like, man. Just go through one channel and hit the like. And um let me see something. I need I need I need you all to do something for me right now too.
Oops. W close. You all to do something right now for me too. Please hit the like man. Hit the like man. Big up. Hey yo man. Oh that's my bro. You know whenever time Aan come on my channel I got to change my accent and I got to speak like a British. You know what I mean? Because my friend Aan is all the way over there in London. You know what I mean?
Glad to have you here, man.
How's it going on in England, man?
Know my accent. No accent at all, but we have to try still. Big upan. Enough respect. Glad to have you here. Having a want to talk. Um, first I start out by talking about the impact um the visit of Isro Speed have on Jamaica. Then my viewers take me away and have me talking about development.
But I enjoy the two points. anyway and so it's it's all about um what what impact it have May's child month and I I personally was looking at it I I sat down today and I was like yo this really come Jamaican impact yeah man the big streamer he came to Jamaica and trust me for a 21 year old young man and the impact that he have the followers that he have 53 54 million million people.
And so, and when he posts his videos, in fact, when he posts his videos, all his videos get over million, let me millions of views, millions of views and hundred of thousands of views. So, when he come to Jamaica and and bring the eyes of the world and Jamaica, I believe that it was a good thing for Jamaica.
And I believe Jamaica show up and show up well.
Avan, bless up. Yeah, man. Bless up Aan.
Um, please go over and check out Avan channel too. Isn't there a concern that all the beachfront is being sold off?
Minimal access to locals. Um, there is a concern about that. A very good point.
Um, that the beach fronts have been sold off because when a hotel buy a property, they normally lock the place off. Now recently I've heard those people that we employed or that the country employed make some statement that there's a legis legislation in process about making sure that beach access remain for Jamaicans. So there's a good thing with that is that the government is answering to a call that has been long time making for for for that. So there so keep your eyes on that. I think there's something coming up about access to beach. I I admire the island that I that I used to be in at one point and I visit there recently the Cayman Island. It doesn't matter who owned the hotel. One of the big hotel there was Rich Carlton and there's a beach access right beside Rich Carton. So each place must have a public beach access so that you can go and use the beach. Now the hotel don't own the beach. What they will do they own to the high water mark. I think there's a high water mark and low water mark. I'm not know I don't know if I'm saying it right. There's a high water mark mean that they'll put their their their their beach chairs to a certain areas and that's where they are. The security will be there and you can't go to that section if you're not a guest. That's their property. Now you can actually go into the water before the hotel and to a certain area onto the beach without going up to the eye water mark. That's why I know these places operate. I saw a video recently when in Otus Moon Palace where a security guard was turning back some people from walking along the beach and um I don't know if he know what he was doing because those laws are here in Jamaica too that you cannot prevent people from going into that water or walking along that section because that's not owned by the hotel that's Jamaican water and now we name Jamaican our water. So people need to be aware of the laws too and know their rights so that it don't get trampled and that's one of the big problem. So there's going to be a legislation or going to be a law something being worked on now that will have people um take care of that. So people can buy beach and met beach or met this and that but it have to be a case where people local have to get access to it.
Did you watch from start to finish? I watched quite a few of it and and every now and then I binge watch some aspect because I I was interested in seeing um the different people that he met and the different experience that he have. So yes, I would say I watched 90% of it.
Yes.
Yes, Oliver. True. There is finally I saw that. Um yeah. So so so yeah. So we keep a eye on the beach thing. I think I think we have to I think the days now where social again social media is shining light on these things because the day when that security guard was turned them back he was actually live and so people were seated. So there was an outcry that you cannot trump on the rights of people.
No. So here is where Jamaican come in now because one of the thing that is happening and people are saying is that and Marialist. So please me I'm a realist. So, so I don't just only look at what is I look at what can happen to is that I notice what happened at Little Dun River. I know tourist I noticed certain stuff and we understand why they have to put security on some of the beaches because these resort when they build them people are there staying all inclusive and on the beach if you don't have certain monitoring taking place we not easy you know come say it for what it is we not easy you know we will go on that beach and we will harass the heck out of those people and we will set up shops and stall and bars on those very same beach that you know lock it down and it's a different place and so we have a responsibility too that with freedom comes responsibility with freess comes responsibility we have to first take care of the place make it clean maintain it be friendly be peaceful be kind be civilized where a lot of stuff practice that we have that is not Nice.
And so I'm on a beach already in and I'm there beach shots and thing look like a foreigner but every minute somebody come to me. Yo man you want this bro come from good. So there's a type of thing that sometime visitors don't come for. I am here so I'm not even going to say visitors. People don't want there. So many I can so much I can say on that but let me read this. It's kind of hard problem to handle them again the hotel going to want to protect their guest and property. You get the point I'm making. So I am all for freedom of the beach. I'm all for it. Don't get me wrong. I want my beach to be free. We must have beach access.
Yeah. We must have access. It has to be controlled because if you leave it dun little dun running problem because of the very same thing people come and want to exart want to collect money want to do this want to do that and they used them run off the beach so government have to step in now and say listen we lock it off when people were saying that oh the government lock down the beach I was taking away from the people there was some stuff happening there that caused that to happen we don't know handle our own freedom and when you handle freedom take it from you.
You opening up at these beach as they're free, right? We have in on the beach right now and you have to pay a little fee to get in and they said, "Oh, that beach will be free. It's our beach." But you know what I agree with? Pay that little fee and going because it upkeep the bathroom facilities, the beach facilities. Somebody have to clean the beach, somebody have to do all of that. It need to. So I have no problem in paying 200 Jamaica, which is about $2,3 US. I don't pay that.
So yeah, beach will be free, but if they're going to put a bathroom there and certain thing and said I'm going to charge a fee, I'm all good with that because we again not easy. But going to those place and we mess up. I've seen even the bus park in bathroom facilities there and all of that. You don't want that. You don't want one of them bus and want use a toilet and go inside of them. again we so we can cry for the freedom and cry for certain things but what do we do with it what do we do with it I've been to other countries other islands and um I went on a cruise and I went to a few islands and I I was like no that's how they treat people I was cruising I was there and nobody was harassing me come and buy this come and charter me come and that people love me I was walking I was like free to make a choice, free to stop at a shop and look. There's a few places I think there's another place that may harass you a lot, but Jamaica stop.
Let us be civil. Let us know. Let us a lot of things have been changing in the world. Let the one let this be one of our change cuz that style not work no more. the begging people and shocking people and drawing people to come and buy from me and come and look at this and come and and overly trying to convince them to buy from you no work no more. Those were the days when you think we could have smart talk and sweet talk and and and and we use the word DJ and win people to convince them to buy from me or to charter me or to come look at this. No, we need to allow people to freely choose. We have to find a different way to market our thing to get people to come to you.
Yes, there's a lot of places that I see things happening and I was like, yo, we need to cut that one out, right? Keep it Jamaican, man. We could do with good and nice. People come and feel all right.
Yeah, Jamaica know all the way. Apart from that, I'm good. I love it. I was a little I was at Little Dun River in July 2025th and some local guys charged me $500 Jamaican dollar. It was a lot to give it to him.
If you pay him go and take it. Yeah, because maybe the problem ought to start again. Who knows? Don't even know. See that little nons river the problem that was usually the thing. It's a revenue because it's freely and people are coming there. is now become a source for somebody who they work for who own it.
If you're saying that well we're going to charge us fee for upkeep is different but who is he in a uniform Jamaica already to open to Jamaica already losing out from people don't want to travel to here and um yeah we're losing some amount but thanks be to God it's still a destination of choice. I must admit that it is a destination of choice.
I I went on a cruise um in 2020 2025 2024 somewhere there um and I met people and people like yo I want to come to Jamaica but I've heard this and I've heard and I have to be there con no come to Jamaica you just met your driver come and people are coming to Jamaica and and Jamaica is always happening that's why I'm thankful for I show speed being here bringing attention and people might say oh a lot of kids follow them and they don't travel no No, they will be travelers tomorrow and they're going to remember that one of their hero, their star, their their streamer who was in Jamaica and he had a great time and everything that they see Speed do, they're going to want to do it. They're going to want to come and go and party, tasty patty. They're going to want to eat six patty like Aishra speed. They're going to want to to go to Bob Marley Museum like Aisha Speed because it's what was what got them. They're going to want to experience a regga culture the this that they're going to want it too.
I have no problem. So, let me say it now. With Aisha Speed being in Jamaica, I believe it was a great advertisement for this beautiful island.
Yes, I do believe that. I believe it was a great advertisement for Jamaica and this beautiful island.
Charles Mont.
Charles Mont. He has gone through a lot as a child. Dropped out of school at one point. I will never encourage any child to drop out of school because they want to be a streamer or they want to be a gamer. But parents, if you're on this platform right now, please note this that you now have to start to look at what they are doing differently.
Remember that a child, you want your child to be successful in life and success in often times is measures measured by financial achievement.
Because when I go to school, I wanted was to get a education, get the degrees and all of that stuff so that I can get the best job. And the best job would mean that I would get better pay. Remember, it's about the pay, achievement. Nobody go to work because I just love work.
I go to work because I want to have a financial stability, financial achievement, and I want to maximize that.
So that's the whole idea of working.
That's the whole idea of wanting your children to get an education. That's the whole idea. You want them to go through college, go through university because you want them to earn one paycheck.
Suppose you can't maybe come back all the spend. You remember? So you go. So now in 2026, we have a different time we living in. this young man sit in his bedroom and now you want to go and check out how many millions he's worth but not by having a degree not by passing subjects but by being a streamer he know can take his mother and father and sisters and brothers out of poverty he can now operate and own business on if you get the point I'm making so what I I mean if there are parents here it's child month and your children your child is gravitating towards something on the internet your duty and responsibility I'm just saying you don't have to believe anything I'm saying you can't tell me have a fool say that but your duty and responsibility is to guide offer guidance offer advice to that child guide the child speak some sense help them to direct but not to divert them away from their passion. As long as their passion is not causing any harm and detriment and danger, the only thing you might cause is you being disappointed because you want them to become a doctor.
They don't want to become a doctor. They doing something that they love. This young man sat in his room, his mother plug out internet, his mother take him game, you name it. You need to go and check out his documentary.
his mother him left the house out of the yard with father was more free and say father do eventually get back to his mother it was a rough time but now thank god and his mother is distill he's really good with his mother that's I know it's a cool you because he could have eas said mommy you never have no part to do with this but it teached me a lesson that you know when a child is passionate about something it's not your responsibility to beat the passion out of them and to direct them from the passion. While showing them something else, you need to help them with their passion.
You understand that passion could have come with some regime, some monitoring, you know, all type of stuff it could have come with. Listen, I give you two hours on your game and the next 4 hours school work. But don't just plug out game and cuss him and fling him.
This is what he's living from now. is influencing millions of people. So what I'm saying guys childhood if your children if your child is gravitating towards something that that your idea you know make no sense.
Research do some research. Understand what this is about. This is here to stay. The internet is here to stay. Not going anywhere. Social media is only getting this and that. So what? So even we as people who are getting in age so to speak, you might want some big computer and TV and camera and all that.
No, no, no, no. As long as I'm alive, I'll be doing this because soon to sooner or later in in the US, a lot of you guys malls have been closing down. Nobody's going to mall to shop. Everybody shopping online is saying right, but some not coming.
Well, yeah. Yeah. some not coming but we'll continue to work on those and that couple that's why you have tr watch it come even our own people yeah so so the point I was making yeah understand them just beat them out and said put down the the phone you know cell phone is here to stay and if you take a tablet and go school and have access to Oh, not you saying that. Sorry. Sorry, I read that wrong.
Yeah, you know. So guys, so that's my message for today in childb is in Jamaica. And I said earlier that if you have any access to any child in Jamaica or you are from Jamaica and you have children in Jamaica or you have influence on anyone in Jamaica because I don't think it's child moon overseas but I think it's it's in Jamaica. Give them a little advice. Pay them a little extra attention.
You know stop thinking about yourself. A lot of us parents sometime are too selfish. It's what we want but not what they want.
Every child is born with a special ability that only need nurturing.
Yeah. Remember they are young, they're a little man or a little woman in the making. The same brain that they have in their head is the same one that going to get bigger.
It's not that the brain change. It's just that the brain get bigger and they hurt. They learn how to be to pro to turn to process better.
But they bothered everything that that brain need. And so you have to help them with the brain to nourish that brain so that they can maximize the the brain.
Yeah. And so don't think that your young child, a young boy or young girl is don't have a sense. They have sense. The information that they get, they might know don't have the ability and the experience how to manage the information. That's where you come in.
Guide them with the information.
Help lead them and direct them part of information. the world is out there for them and they will get lost in it.
So, you know, it is important for us to understand that Aisha speak prove it to the world that I'm going to be a gamer.
I'm going to be a streamer and at the end of the day I'm going to live from it. I'm going to achieve from it. This young boy a 21 year old have houses and maybe business right now. He employ a team of people around him. He have a production team. He have bodyguard team.
He have everything. And he is the manager for his team.
Think about it. Just by playing games in his room.
I know you want your child to achieve.
It could be another way of achieve. Only thing you have to do is to pay attention to it. Go and research it, understand it so that you can guide them. Yeah. Aline said, "Have a good weekend travel month." I have to look that up. It's a long weekend here. The start of the summer Canada. Oh, happy summer to you.
I know you love that.
Yeah, man. Look up what child's month mean. It's a child month. Um child month. All all activities even at school today. It's about child's month. Child's day. They are in churches. Children are able to lead out in church for the day or even for the month programs are planned for them and um they are able to lead in church. All these stuff. A lot of stuff is happening. Yeah man. But make sure you sub you hit the like button before you go at leavine. And again guys, I'm about to leave you soon next couple of minutes. It was really a a pleasure having you all here talking with me today and and this topic of Jamaica benefiting from a a a visit from a major YouTube influencer streamer. I show speed. If you don't know who I'm talking, go and research him and you'll see what this young man um is doing. We might can't make sense of some of what he does because we are not young like that anymore, but the kids do follow him. The kids are fascinated by him and because of that he have an influence on them. And so we now have to guide them to show them how to manage certain things because they are getting older and they have their passion and they want to be they want to achieve. They see I show speed as a millionaire. He's making money just by turning on his video camera and streaming what he does. Imagine that.
That's where we live. That's the world we live in now, guys. He is here to stay. It's not going anywhere. Not going anywhere, you know. So, just continue to keep an eye on what is happening. Know what is happening. Make sure your kids are not getting left behind because of our own selfishness. Make sure we're guiding them.
You Thank you. Thank you for subscribing and liking. Make sure we are guiding them um in the right way. We are being who we supposed to be in their life. We are guidance um guardians. Sorry. All of that stuff.
That's who we are. You know, God made them. He He's the one who blessed them with their abilities and their skills and all of those nice things that they eventually become. Uh we have some very good um young people, children who would have become some of the world best but parents sometime mess them up with that.
They become timid, shy. You listen, especially in Jamaica, we have kids who are just timid and we always put them compared to the children in America and children in Canada and these countries. Why are Jamaican kids so shy, so timid? Because sometime parenting cause that we don't give them the opportunity to express themsel.
Once they express themsel we shut them up. Now if they're expressing themselves in a rude way then you correct them but don't stop them from expressing themselves. Teach them the proper way of expressing themselves. No you are talking sometime and mommy mommy mommy shut up boy go let me talk.
No don't do it like that. You stop from talking look at them in a very intelligent way. I said, "All right, son. All right, daughter. I'm speaking now, but as soon as I finish speaking, I will come and hear what you have to say.
Is it is it emergency? Is it something urgent?" No, mommy. No, daddy. All right. Give me 10 minutes. Give me 5 minutes. We are the one who create them.
I seen a Tik Tok video where this little young girl have a daughter left her daughter and she keep putting her money in her and drag out the money out her hand. Give me the money. get in the P and eventually this baby start to pull back the money the same way and have attitude and start to say some she quarreling to and don't understand that you basically influence her to behave like that. She wasn't born that way and the parents find it funny like oh they pick the face and a lot of people in the comment section found it funny also giving the baby the money and pulling it out the baby hand like give me this and the baby when they give it to the baby the baby pull it back out the mother hand and the mother laugh and say she face sees it no you training this girl to be arrogant and aggressive that's what we're doing so we are the one who train them what We put in that we get out. Some of them have a strong personality from them born. But that's where guidance come in.
