Does 'White Culture' Even Exist?

[00:00:00]And I often wonder this about people who talk about black culture as well. White culture for me doesn't really exist. If If I think about it, like I I've got Bulgarian friends that I was visiting recently in Bulgaria and I'm >> [music] >> and I don't think of their skin color in any shape or form as being the thing that unites us at all.

[00:00:17]You know, I So and but we're both in inverted commas white.

[00:00:21]So but there's the I I don't in interact at that level. And I've had I've never had a reason to interact at that level.

[00:00:30]So arguably now if people start talking about white identity, [music] I'm a I'm I'm a bit suspicious of it cuz I'm thinking why? And and number one because it doesn't make sense to me really. I can imagine a cultural identity.

[00:00:43]>> And and for me personally cuz I've heard it I've heard >> [music] >> the murmurings in the UK now of of some parties saying that there is a white identity, >> [music] >> which is a British identity. Now as someone who grew up in a very white Britain, >> [music] >> I still don't think of my identity as white because we had >> [music] >> Indian people living in our community.

[00:01:05]We had a small number of black people, but we did have all that stuff. So that and and I and when I think about when I think back to that time, they were very much British. It was part of Britain.
