Vehicle pricing is influenced by multiple factors including trim levels, vehicle size, and market conditions, with heavier-duty trucks often commanding higher prices despite having better resale value, while smaller trucks like the Ford Maverick offer more affordable entry points into the truck market.

Ford What Are You Thinking With $100,000 Trucks?Ajouté :
We are at a small town country dealership, checking out the inventory they have on their lot. And they actually have quite a bit, man. Quite a bit of inventory for such a small town.
This is a Ford dealer. Now, this Ford dealer, everything's below MSRP. It's just how the market is. Let's see what this Maverick's going for. Let's see.
Whoa, 38. That's kind of crazy.
Basically 39 grand. Pretty crazy for Ford Maverick. You got to think, literally the most affordable truck on the market. You know, it's kind of sad that's where we're at in today's market, but it just it's the reality. Now, these country dealers, normally they just have trucks, but they actually have a couple SUVs over here surprisingly. Actually on their lot in stock right now, which is surprising to see. Now, last time I was at a country dealership out kind of in a small town, a lot of you guys were like, "This is where I buy my truck from."
Because everybody's saying these dealers tend to get bigger discounts than some of the ones in the city, for sure. Let's see what else we got going on price-wise. Let's see here. This is where it goes way up. 86 grand, 2026 F-250. Dang, that's expensive, but at least it's an F-250 and not an F-150, which I'm about to show you, which is probably going to be the same dang price. $80,000 for an F-150. Yeah, 80 grand. Now, it is a King Ranch, so it is a higher trim level and all that stuff, but still, you're spending 80 grand on a Ford F-150. You would think, you know, it's insane, man. And we've seen $100,000 F-150s. Just imagine that. But luckily, we probably won't see that today. Now, the crazy part is that F-150 costs more than a lot of these F-250s and stuff over here. Which make that make sense.
How are these F-250s and F-350s cheaper in some situations? I mean, this one's 83. So, it's right there. And this has leather and all that. So, it's not like a base model. So, it's 3 grand. 3 grand more than let's say an F-150. And that F-150 is going to hold much less value. These F-350s and F-250s do have better resale value, but also it's a bigger truck. It's kind of funny. Half the people that get these trucks, they probably don't even use them. 86 for this one is just crazy, man. Insane money though, but what do you expect in today's market? This is what these trucks cost. Let's see what this one's going for. It looks like there's some aftermarket wheels. Normally they do add-ons for that. Yeah, 71 grand MSRP 65. 2026 F-150 Looks like it has $5,495 of add-ons. We got a 2-in ReadyLift Level Kit, 20-in off-road wheels, and some tires. There you go, $6,000, but I talked with the owner of this dealer. He said that you do get your original wheels, your original tires, and all that stuff. And we have seen a lot worse when it comes to add-ons. I mean, for a lift and tires, we've seen 20, 30 grand, which is what a lot of dealers would charge for that same lift kit. But still, six grand extra. You just got to be careful because anytime you do aftermarket stuff, obviously it goes right down the drain with resale value.
The resale value does not exist on that aftermarket stuff. Yeah, I mean, we are literally This is a small town, very small town. Looks like they're getting some more delivered over here, surprisingly. But uh yeah, I mean, they have a lot of vehicles, for sure.
44 grand, well, that's insane. This one has a 2.0 though. The funny part about it is these Bronco Sports, they go down to a 1.5 turbo. So, imagine that, man.
Imagine spending 40 grand on a 1.5 turbo Bronco Sport. That would be crazy. Now, here's a 6.7 right here. $108,000, 2026 F-350 with the 6.7. The most expensive truck on the whole lot. I was hoping, hey, at least we didn't see a $100,000 F-150, right? Let's look at the positive side, I guess. But of course, it's going to be a dually. This is a base model right here, more of a base model with fabric seats. Let's see what it's going for. It's harder to find a base model compared to a higher trim level. 76,000 for this 2026 Dually. So, you can really see the price difference right there in front of you. We checked out the highest trim level, 108 grand over here. Then you look at a base model Dually for 70-something grand. So, you can really see the difference. I mean, it's crazy.
The resale value on this one will be way better than the 108 grand. 78,000. Do you think it's worth it? For a base model Dually in 2026?
That is what these prices are going for.
Let's see here. 38,000 right here. Ford Maverick. Man, 40 grand Mavericks do exist. And they even have one Ford Ranger, which is rare to see. You don't see these on the lot really that much. 40 grand. Oh, it's a 2025.
It's a 2025 Ford Ranger sitting on the lot. This is May 2026. So, to see 2025 still here, definitely not a good thing.
I mean, it's starting to become old new stock. I wouldn't say it's all the way getting, you know, it's a 2025 though.
It's last year's model. And 2027's are already on the way. 2026 Mustang right here. This is a EcoBoost. 37 grand.
Crazy, man. Four-cylinder Mustang. Would you want to buy a four-cylinder Mustang?
Now, here's the Mustang Mach-E. Fully electric. They can put the name Mustang, whatever they want to call it, but still just an all-electric one right here.
Mustang Mach-E 2026 on this one. $52,000 with a 300-mile range. If you're lucky, of course. Let's see. This one's 54,000.
Explorer. And it's a 2026 as well. So, surprisingly, we saw, I mean, that might be why I don't see that many Rangers because it is just a mid-size truck and they tend to get pretty dang expensive.
Now, this Explorer ST, these things, crazy, man. 63 grand. But it does have the 3.0 EcoBoost V6. I just wish Hey, imagine if they put a V8 for that price.
You would think, hey, you know, you're spending that kind of money, why can't they put like a, you know, some sort of V8? That thing would be awesome if they did. But, of course, they're not going to every single time. Now, these Expeditions, let's see, 84 grand, 2026 Expedition. I'm surprised I haven't seen a hundred thousand dollar Expedition yet. I know that they are definitely out here. They're just not as common as you would think. Let's say the Chevy Tahoes have much more much more common. Now, let's see what this F-350 missing a bed.
So, this is like base base model. A lot of times, you might even need a fleet code in order to order this. This is basically as base as you can get it.
Let's see what it's going for right here. Let's see. This is 66,000.
Can you guys see that? Yeah, I mean, this is a base model right here, F-350 in stock on the lot. That is what they're going for in 2026. So, this was a different kind of video today. We went to a Ford dealer that we'd never been to before. This one is in a small town. The town definitely is under 15,000 people.
It might be under 10, actually. So, a small town Ford dealer. We checked out some of the inventory sitting on the lot. We even saw a 2025.
We saw the most expensive truck over there at 108,000. But, then we saw the same truck base model version, and we can really see the price difference.
But, again, keep this in mind. This dealer below MSRP. Everything on this lot below MSRP because it's the only way that they can actually sell this inventory. Let me know what you guys think. Have a great day, and stay blessed.
