The Best Fractional Gold Coins for Any Budget

Be sure to check out some of my other videos on the gold to silver ratio and how you can use silver as a tool to get into gold. But we're not going to talk about that in this video today. We're just going to talk about fractional gold. I'm going to show you some different fractional gold sizes and we're going to go over each one of the coins that I have here. And yes, that does include this absolutely beautiful 1909 pre33 250 gold Indian head. But before we start with the gold Indian head, let's take a look at some of these big ones over here. These are half ounces. So this is pretty much the biggest fractional gold coin that you can get. And if you didn't know, fractional gold is anything less than a full ounce. I absolutely love these half ounce gold coins, especially the gold American Eagles. If you've been following the channel, you know I'm an absolute fan of the American gold eagles. I think they're the best coin for beginners to buy, especially here in the US. And they're absolutely stunning.

[00:01:11]These are absolutely stunning. I love the size of these, these are absolute anchors in my stack. And and being that they're fractionals, I like the divisibility of them. I like the accessibility of them. I like that they're easy to sell and easy to buy.

[00:01:23]These are an absolute favorite for me.

[00:01:25]and they're a really good storage of wealth. We're talking a couple thousand bucks in today's uh market, a little over a couple thousand bucks in today's price, and that's a hefty chunk of change. And most of these gold coins I got for significantly less than that.

[00:01:38]So, it was able to store my purchasing power and store my wealth for the long term. These gold coins just continue to go up in value. And you can see how I use dollar cost averaging to build an average price and position in gold. Now, let's move on to the fractional gold one quarter ounces. I have three different ones here, and these just so happen to also be my favorite three gold coins for beginners to buy. We have the Canadian Maple Leaf again, the American Gold Eagle, which is number one, and then we have these beautiful China pandas. If you've been following the channel, you know I'm a huge fan of the pandas. I have a a good little collection of them, including this absolutely stunning 1987 panda. I mean, look at this thing. He's just drinking a little bit of water.

[00:02:28]It's an absolute beauty. And if you didn't know, the Chinese pandas uh have uh they changed their image every single mint. At the China Mint, they change the image on their coin every single year.

[00:02:38]The the newer ones are a little bit odd of a weight. I think they're just 30 g instead of full ounces when you're talking about the full ounce ones. But some of these older ones, they come in the sizes that we're used to and including this beautiful 1987/ quarter ounce. Now, we'll move on to the quarter ounce American Gold Eagle. It's pretty much the same thing as the half ounce.

[00:02:57]And you'll see we even have a 110 ounce later on. We'll check that out. But like I said, this is my number one favorite gold coin to buy here in the US. It's easy to buy, easy to sell, it's easy to liquidate at any time. There's no haggle. It's very soughta. It's the most popular gold coin in the US. So, this is the gold coin that I suggest for any buyers or beginners to get into. And the quarter ounce is just an amazing size for anybody. And personally, it's my favorite gold coin size as far as the size goes. It's like the first one that really starts to feel like a significant gold coin. I've always thought that the 1oz gold coins are just kind of too big for my liking. And I'm talking about just aesthetics in general. And the half ounces are even a little bit big also, but they're about as big as I like to go to be honest, especially in today's market and with today's price. I don't want to be storing $5,000 or so in one coin. And that's really why I like these fractional gold coins. And I think that's why fractional gold is absolutely just it's exploding right now. It's becoming more and more popular. And I don't see that trend stopping anytime soon. If you're watching this video, it means you're probably in the market for some fractional gold and you're wondering maybe what the different sizes are and what they look like. And so here's a little comparison of a/4 ouncez gold eagle right next to a/2 ouncez gold eagle just so you can kind of get a little bit of a size in a little bit.

[00:04:12]I'll actually even put up a 1oz gold eagle next to it. So you'll see all three of the fractional gold sizes of the gold American Eagle. Ah, now we move on to this absolute stunner. Again, if you've been following the channel, you've seen this coin on there. It's a 1999. This is the 20th anniversary of the gold maple leaf, and it's an absolute beauty. Again, this is a 1999.

[00:04:34]And the cool thing about the maple leaves, if you're just wondering, or if you're a beginner and you're getting into gold stacking, the Canadian Mint does 49 fine gold. So, they got that 49's fine. It's really pure. It's absolutely beautiful and it's stunning.

[00:04:46]And just to compare and and so you get a little bit of an understanding of that.

[00:04:50]The Chinese mint does 39's fine. So, it's still 24 karat. They're both 24 karat. The Canadian is just a little bit more pure. Um, and when you see the gold coins next to each other, you can kind of see it. You got a nice shine with the Canadian maple leaf, but I absolutely love the 39's fine shine on the pandas.

[00:05:07]I teased it earlier, but here she is.

[00:05:09]The 1909 250 Gold Indian. Now, imagine back in 1910 or 1909, you could toss this on a counter of a luxury hotel, and you would pay for about a week stay including meals. How cool is that? This is an absolutely stunning coin. It's considered fractional gold, although we all know this is pre33. This is some pre33 gold. absolutely love this piece in my collection, but I just thought I'd mention it here in the fractional gold cuz it is considered fractional gold.

[00:05:34]And it's kind of cool to think that our our nation used to use actual real money back in the day and uh things at some point kind of went off the rails. But nonetheless, it's good to see our history right here in this gold coin.

[00:05:45]It's an absolute beauty. You're going to get a little bit more gold in this coin than in a 110 ounce. There's 3.7 g. I think it's 3.76. Somebody in the comments can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's 3.76 g of pure gold in the 1909 250 gold Indian head. And I also believe these are 22 karat. So the the weight on this, I think it's again, somebody in the comments can correct me if I'm wrong. I don't I didn't look it up just before the video, but I think it's like 4.16 g. And so it is a mixed alloy. And I believe it's with copper.

[00:06:15]Um, I probably should have looked it up before making this video, but I didn't.

[00:06:18]I think it's copper, not silver. I think it's just copper. I could be wrong, but I do believe it's 22 karat 90%. And it's an absolute beauty, guys. So, if you're in the market for some fractional gold, you might stumble across the pre33 gold like this 250 Indian head, and it's an absolute beauty. You're going to pay a huge, not a huge premium, but I think I paid like over 30% premium when I bought this gold coin. So, it's a little bit in the collector's realm, but I still thought I'd squeeze it in here to the fractional gold video. All right, let's move on to these. These are getting so popular. These are the 110 gold coins.

[00:06:51]Guys, if you're looking to get into gold, if you're a beginner gold stacker, these are a really good low entry point.

[00:06:56]I think you can grab one right now for less than 500 bucks, which is an absolute steal. And that's in today's market value. And I think today's price is like 4,400 bucks, I believe it was, on spot. So, you can grab a 110 ounce for just a hair above that. Premium is usually like 10%. So, add 40 bucks to whatever spot is, but give or take. That really depends on where you're getting it and who you're getting it from. So, let's go through each one of these babies right here. Absolute beauties. We got a pair of uh 110 gold American Eagles. And like I promised before, we'll go ahead and stick this one right next to the quarter ounce. So, you can see the entire fractional sizes of all the American gold eagles. Got the half ounce. We got the quarter ounce right here. Absolute stunner. And then we got the 110. I like the size of the 110 ounces, don't get me wrong, but they're like the size of a dime just to give you a little bit of perspective. And they're really light. They're beautiful. Don't get me wrong. They're absolutely stunning. But that's that's why I said earlier that I really prefer the size of the quarter ounce. It's the first gold coin that you really start to get a little nice feel. It's like a little bit bigger, I would say, than like a nickel, but they're just they have a little bit of weight to it. Um they're they're they're just nice and honestly the quarter ounces are a really nice size, but the 110 oz are very accessible. So I think that's why they're really starting to become popular. We have a pair right here of 110 angel coins. So these are from the aisle of man. These are absolutely beautiful. These are 22 karat also. Uh, and a little fun fact is in 1984 up until 1988, the ISA man stuff was 22 karat, but now it's 24 karat. I have a couple of their 24 karat pieces in my collection. You might have seen them on the channel before. And they're absolutely beautiful and I love all the stuff that comes out of the aisle of man, especially the angel design. So, we have a pair of these right here. So, these are stunning. These might be options for you if you're in the market for fractional gold. And I absolutely love them. I think they're a great size, about the size of a dime. Again, you're not going to get as hefty of a feel with the piece because it's just small, but they're just a little bit more accessible. If you're on a budget, these are something that you can get into without totally breaking the bank. It's something you can save up for. And uh I I I saved up, not saved up. I bought 6 ounces of silver last year. And then I realized that I could trade in that 6 ounces of silver for a 110 gold coin. I believe I got this one. No, it wasn't this one. It was this one. And my cash in, all cash in was 195 bucks. And I did that by using silver as a vehicle to get into gold and paying attention to that gold to silver ratio that a lot of the subscribers have been doing. We've been talking about it a lot. [00:09:34]And you can learn, you guys can learn yourself for just less than 100 bucks a month even. You can get into stack and you can get into stack and silver. You can pay attention to that ratio and you can really start to have fun with the hobby and your investment and start to learn about money. That's the whole point of this channel. I'm trying to educate people on money and finances and and just a little bit of entertainment.

[00:09:56]But I I really would like to inspire people to learn about money. Especially if you work all day for the US dollar, you should know how that US dollar plays into the global economy and how gold does also and how you can use gold and silver to build your wealth for the long term. All right, guys. You might have thought the video's over there. We're not getting any smaller than a 110, but we sure are. We got this absolutely beautiful 120 ounce panda, guys. So, this is going to be a little bit smaller. Obviously, it's going to be smaller. It's half the size of the 110 ounce. So, this is something you can get get into. But, go to your local coin shop, ask around. You could probably get one at your local coin shop for a good deal. And it's a great size. I like them. They're cool. They're not even that much smaller, honestly. I don't know how they do it, but they don't seem too much smaller than the 110. So, if that's what you're into, you're looking to get into the smallest gold coin, you can get into a 120 ounce, but there's even smaller than that. I have a half g.

[00:10:48]It's actually a 164 ounce. I believe that would be even smaller than a half gram. It's a 164 ouncez man angel coin, guys. This thing is absolutely tiny and I must admit I wouldn't recommend getting something this small. It was even really hard to find the capsule for it. So, and it's so small I can barely see the design. It is cool. I got Charles on the back. This is a 2025 164 ounce is of man angel coin and they're rare. There's a rarity on them.

[00:11:14]So, that's kind of why I got it. I didn't get it as part of my core stack.

[00:11:18]It's more or less a collector piece, but it's cool. It lives with my capsule gold. So, I like it and it lives with my fractionals and it's a cool piece. But it is really, really, really tiny, guys.

[00:11:27]And keep in mind, smaller you go, the higher of a premium you're you're going to pay above the spot price of gold. But you're also paying for the flexibility to sell a smaller amount later on. So, just keep that in mind. There's a lot of people that get bothered about the premiums, and they'll come in the comments talking about the premiums, but the fact of the matter is not everyone can spend thousands of dollars at a time on gold. And so, these 110 ounces, although they have a premium, are a great way to get into stacking gold, especially for beginners. You're looking to store your purchasing power.

[00:11:54]absolutely check into these. But remember, I'm not a financial advisor, guys. I'm a stacker. Uh I'm not a a tax guy or anything like that. I'm just a stacker here showing you guys my stack and just trying to give you guys some inspiration, trying to educate some people and some beginners on on gold coins, show them the different size gold coins and things like that.
