Many Americans are experiencing severe financial hardship, with the average person having barely $100 in their bank account before payday, even those with advanced degrees; rising living costs, inflation, and stagnant wages are forcing families to live paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford basic necessities like groceries, vacations, or emergency expenses, creating widespread financial stress and burnout across the country.

Americans Are Finding Out How Broke They Really Are
Added:I can't do this anymore.
>> [music] >> I can't. I just can't. I can't. I can't.
It's the weekend and I'm already just a little while away from having to go back to the same job that I've been praying for God knows how long to be able to leave and I've been applying and I've been looking but I'm not finding nothing.
I just I can't do this anymore. I I I This is not the life I chose. It's not the life This is This is not I mean I chose it but it's not the life I prayed for. It's not the life I wanted.
>> Most people are stressing out about the economy right now. Everything is too expensive. They can't get a job or they're working too much or they can't pay their bills. Their car's getting repossessed. Everything is going against them.
>> I don't want to work anymore.
Because I working I working everyday very hard and I never had money.
>> That's the same thing a lot of people are saying.
They never have money. They're working every single day, working like a dog.
They are tired, beyond tired, burnout, and yet they just can't get ahead.
>> I'm so burnt out from work that even on the weekends I do not feel like I am resting. And that's the thing. I take vacations. Like I have weekends off.
It's not like I'm working like 24 hours a day or anything like that. Like I have my off time. But it's not a matter of like physical exhaustion. It's like mental exhaustion. So even if I have like time off and I'm just like resting I'm like at home or whatever, I still feel like I am not resting.
>> How many of you feel the exact same way?
That you have weekends off. You have nights off. You don't work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
You got holidays off.
But yet you feel like you're never rested.
You feel like you're never getting ahead.
How many of you feel like that? If you do, go ahead, hit that like button.
Watch this.
>> And I know y'all didn't ask this but y'all know the average person barely got $100 in their bank account before payday?
>> The average person barely even has $100 right before payday.
That's crazy.
That you can go a whole week or whole month and yet you can't put $100 away?
And you're probably thinking that that's not true.
There's no way that is true. But yes, the average person here inside the United States doesn't even have $100 to their name.
And if they couldn't use their credit cards, they would not be able to fund a $100 emergency. I want to show you something. This right here is what normally happens. Look at this.
>> Okay, it's 2 days before our payday. How much money do you think you have in your account? [music] >> I'm hoping like at least $40.
>> [laughter] >> How much?
>> I have a single digit, guys.
I have $7.46.
>> [laughter] >> Oh, boy.
>> It's 2 days before payday. How much money do you think you have in your bank account? [music] >> I think I have like 17.
>> 31.
>> Somebody with a master's degree has $31 right before payday. 2 days before payday has $31.64 to her name.
That's not good.
>> Okay, it's 2 days before payday. How much do you think is in your bank account?
>> Um $63.
>> Oh.
>> A dollar 13.
>> A dollar 13.
She has a dollar 13 to her name.
That's scary.
That is absolutely scary that teachers only have like a couple bucks.
That's scary.
>> [snorts] >> Okay, there's 2 days until payday. How much money do you think you have in your [music] bank account?
>> I think I probably have like 400, 500. I should be fine.
>> [laughter] >> I have $126.
>> Okay, so she thought she had between 4 or 500. She only has $126.38 to her name. Okay, that's better than everyone else. Again, somebody with a master's degree. But the reason why I'm bringing this to your attention is simple. More and more people are freaking out over what's happening right now because they can't get ahead, no matter what they do.
>> What's cracking? I have negative $247 in my bank account. I'm going on vacation and I'm running errands right now, but I won't allow the negative to stop me. I'm still going to go fix my nails, drop off my dry cleaning. I have to pick up my passport from my ex. So, all of that needs to be done before 12. It's 9:44.
Will I get it done? Of course, I picked myself up a coffee cuz when you're running late, it's mandatory that you also get a coffee.
>> So, she has negative $200 in her bank account.
She picked herself up a coffee. She's going to run some stuff to dry clean, pick up a passport from her ex. And while she has to get her nails done.
Of course, cuz you have to get your nails done and you have to go get a coffee when you have a negative bank account.
I see why people are stressed out. But again, it's just getting worse.
>> I just went to the grocery store to get dinner. One dinner for tonight. One dinner. One.
It was 100 and $14 for one dinner.
$114.30 >> $114 for one dinner.
That's not good.
Okay, that's not good. How are things so expensive?
No wonder people are freaking out. No wonder people are crashing out all the time on social media.
Because they cannot get ahead. No matter what it is they do, they cannot get ahead.
>> Anyone else feeling more depressed than normal lately? I'm just curious. Like just this like looming depression. And it's not like boohoo, lock yourself in a dark room depression.
But you can feel something's off. My take is this. I just filled up my gas tank and for $30 I got a day's worth of gas in my truck essentially.
And I'm realizing more and more of how [ __ ] our economy >> Yeah.
It is messed up.
Now, here's what's interesting though.
People are now realizing this that the the economy is screwed up.
Like the millionaires and billionaires, they'll be okay. But everyone else is going to struggle.
And the reason why I think this is interesting is because we've been in this exact same place for several months.
But it's just now that people are starting to realize this because we are coming up on the summer.
Where now families are wanting to go out and go and have a nice vacation and go hit the lake and go to the water park and just have fun, right? Kids are off school. Some parents are home and they're just wanting to go have some fun.
But they're realizing we can't afford any of this.
Because even if we go to the water park and we do all this fun fun stuff and we go and rent a jet ski and we go and spend the time at the lake and pack a picnic and do all that.
Well, we still have a car payment. We still have credit card bills. We still have student loans. We still have a mortgage, right? We still have all these other bills.
So, it's no wonder people are freaking out right now.
Because our economy is screwed and millions of people are realizing it as we speak.
That things haven't got better. They've gotten worse. But now their credit cards are maxed out, so they can't use those.
And so now they're trying to pay for things on their debit card or in cash.
But yet many people have nothing as we just saw. But here's what I want to ask you.
How much money is in your bank account right now? Let me know down in the comment section because I can guarantee you that many people are going to look at their bank accounts and realize there's a lot less than they actually thought. And that right there is scary.
But let me know down in the comment section below.
