When the dictionary was almost ready to published and expected to become successful, Chesterfield suddenly praised Johnson publicly in a magazine hoping people would think he had supported the project from the beginning.

Okay, the people what they'll think Chesterfield is also like supported him from the beginning of the work like that people will think no. So to create that Chesterfield has suddenly praised the Johnson.

[00:06:14]Johnson was deeply disappointed by Chesterfield's behavior. Instead of accepting this late praise, he wrote a polite but powerful letter reject rejecting Chesterfield's false claim of patronage. So he was very disappointed. Who is disappointed? Johnson was very deeply disappointed by seeing this Chesterfield's behavior. Instead of accepting that he was writing he was writing a letter. Polite letter.
