ApoB and Lp(a) are advanced lipid markers that provide more accurate cardiovascular risk assessment than traditional LDL cholesterol measurements, as they reveal hidden arterial plaque and blood clot risks even when LDL is controlled; these markers are particularly important for patients with diabetes or metabolic syndrome, who require more intense treatment if elevated, and are recommended for routine cardiovascular risk stratification according to ACC/AHA guidelines.

The New Heart Tests Cardiologists Recommend - Dr. Bharat Vijay Purohit追加:
Two important lipid markers which have caught the attention of cardiologist are apoB and LP little A. These two have featured prominently in the latest ACC AHA lipid guidelines. [music] The apoB and LP little A, they are marker for the cholesterol which leads to development of cholesterol deposit in the coronary artery disease. And it is said that if a person LDL cholesterol, which is supposed to be a bad cholesterol, even if it is under control, we should still measure these apoB and LP little A. If the apoB and LP little A are high, that means they require even more intense treatment to control these even after controlling the LDL cholesterol. A person they have been given class 2A recommendation for apoB measurement and LP little A at least one should be measured to identify the risk profile or the ASCVD risk.
These particles are specially higher in people who have diabetes or those who have cardiovascular kidney metabolic syndrome. So [music] in this subset of patient, it is recommended that we should always measure the apoB and LP little A other than the conventional lipid profile and risk stratify these patient with regards to their treatment [music] and follow up. Thank you.
