The Midnight network operates as a Cardano partner chain with a 6-second block production target, maintained through a federated node operator (FNOS) system that includes multiple partners like Alpha Compute, Bitco, and Shielded Technologies. The network infrastructure consists of Cardano nodes, Cardano DB Sync, PostgreSQL SQL, and the Midnight node, which reads from PostgreSQL to follow Cardano's state. The network operates across three environments: Preview (maintained by core engineering), Pre-prod (federated testnet), and Mainnet (production), each serving as a partner chain to their respective Cardano environments. The guarded overlay network protects validators by ensuring they only communicate with trusted nodes within the federation, providing resilience against malicious attackers.

Fireside Dev Hang: Midnight Validators and Beyond | May 13th, 2026Added:
Hello everyone. I guess we are live.
So um hello everyone. Today's May 13th and it is 12:31 EDT time. Um thank you everyone for spending the time to join us um uh on your Wednesday uh afternoon or evening wherever you are in the world. Some of you maybe good night but um yeah welcome welcome to today's devil fireside hang.
We do have a lot of call to action today. So we're going to be bringing um Jay from the foundation side and Udgosh from 1 a.m. they have some really cool ZLY quests and then after that uh I'm going to talk a little bit about more about the uh the sixsecond miracle. So, if you want to know what the six-cond miracle is, um you want to stay for the stream and if you're and um and yeah, so feel free to retweet this, share with share this with your friends, and let's get on with the agenda. So, um I'd like to bring on Jay. Um he's going to Jay and Utosh. They're going to be talking a lot about the um this uh new Zel quest they have in store for you.
>> Hey, Steph. Uh thanks for having us on.
I'm super curious about this miracle.
So, I think I'll stay on longer. Nice to see you today.
>> Likewise.
Super nice seeing you guys today.
>> Awesome. So, I think at this point I can take over Stev if that's cool.
Great. Uh, so hi, nice to see everyone.
Uh, my name is Jay. I'm a devout engineer at the Midnight Foundation if I'm not familiar with you all. Today I'll be talking about our partner Zelier Sprints. If you've been within our group and you've been keeping up with our work, then you know that we've kicked off our first partner Zely sprint about three weeks ago. So that first partner sprint was with Midnames. It's a decentralized identity provider within our network. You're able to instead of sharing your wallet address and having a bunch of random numbers and letters that you're sharing with other people, you can give them a human readable name like in my case it could be J. and then they're able to engage with your wallet by sending you funds, things like that.
So, it makes it a lot easier for you to interact with wallets and it was a great opportunity for us to kick off our first partner sprint. So, that partner sprint has now come to an end and I'd like to share my screen with the leaderboard so that you can see who the winners are.
Awesome. So, let me zoom in a bit so you can see this. And it looks like our winners uh for this sprint are Ivan Romero uh Cobra.1 and DV8051.
So I want to congratulate you all for participating in our first partner Zely sprint. We'll be issuing you prizes. I will post an updates on our dev uh announcement channel later today uh with instructions on how to claim your prizes. But you've all won night names of five characters or more. So congratulations. We saw some awesome submissions and I'm excited to kick off our next one. So now this week I am excited to announce that we are partnering with 1 a.m. and Udkosh. So for anyone who is not familiar with you, can you give a brief introd and what you are working on with 1 a.m.?
>> Totally. Uh hi guys, it's a pleasure to be here uh today in front of you all. My name is Atkash. Uh I'm the VP of engineering at Webisoft. We're a partner with the Midnight Foundation and Midnight Blockchain and we have co-ounded an infrastructure solution we call 1AM. So 1 a.m.'s a wallet. It's an explorer. It's an indexer. It's a set of products in ecosystem with one singular mission. It's to bring Midnight to masses. We want you to leverage Midnight. We want you to have access to rational privacy and all the wonderful apps people in the ecosystem are building. And we want to make it possible in every form factor there is.
We have a mobile wallet, we have an extension wallet, we have a CLI wallet and we have about 10 tools around them to support them and make the adoption faster, easier and better. And that's the that's all the 1 a.m. mission is all about.
>> Nice. Amazing. Thank you for the intro.
I'm super excited. You know, it's been fun playing with your tools. I'm seeing the community start to grab them, start to actually deploy applications. So I thought it would be awesome to actually kick off our 1 a.m. sprints with you. So with that said, go ahead.
>> Totally totally super excited to get uh everybody on boarded to the 1 a.m.
sprint. So guys, as you can see the screen here, you have a bunch of task a few small ones exploring the 1m ecosystem following 1x creating your 1 a.m. wallet. Uh we are working on some really really good surprises for you guys for the winners. So what we're working on is what I call the early access pass. And what this pass does is it gets you access to some of the features we have in our builds, but they're not publicly available to everyone. So if you are one of those people who have access to these passes, you get access to some of them. Some of them, just to give you a quick highlight of these features, would one be a customizable theme engine. So we have a theme feature where you're able to select colors, match them a bit, and select a few partner themes as well to make your app look and feel better. But to take this a step further, we'll be letting you customize the theme to like very far off boundaries and you'll be the first to get access to this one month to two months prior to everybody else uh within the ecosystem. Uh along with this uh we have uh ZK social which is a similar alternative to Twitter that we're building on the midnight blockchain itself within the 1M wallet.
It will be a wallet experience and ZK chat. So we'll be a quantum resistant chat interface. So you'll get to tweet, you'll get to chat, and you'll get to customize 1 a.m. a little more. So those are just uh some of the crazy good surprises that we have packed in into this early access class, and I'm like super excited for you guys to get your hands on it and give some feedback and get an experience of, you know, these new experiences on Midnight.
>> Awesome. Love the overview. I'd like to briefly go through um some of the quests that we have that we've identified for the community, go over the leaderboard, and then hand it over back to you so that you can maybe briefly uh share the themes if that's okay with you.
>> Totally.
>> Okay. Awesome. So, the first one we have here is exploring 1 a.m. So, if you haven't had the opportunity to check out their website, we provided the links for you to acquire their wallets, for you to test out the no code builder, and learn more about the broader stack. So the first task is just about exploring 1 AM.
Visit the websites, visit the links, and get to know more about the ecosystem that they're building. Next, of course, is just following 1 a.m. We like to support a lot of our ecosystem partners.
Uh so going forward, we want to figure out how to get the community engaged with them, whether that's on Twitter, on Discord, or other platforms. So you can also get some points for following the team on X. Next, we have creating your wallet. So part of you know developing applications on midnight is having a wallet and we wanted to guide you through that process of setting up your first 1 a.m. wallet. So here you can go through the process of downloading the wallet, acquiring it and we can verify that you have your wallets by looking at your unshielded address. So once you've acquired it, you can provide it here and get some uh points for that as well.
Uh, I don't think Utkash mentioned this one, but they also have an explorer. And an explorer is a great way to see the transactions that are being processed through your wallet and for you to analyze more data that's going on in your wallet and in other wallets. Of course, because uh we have a privacy network, some of the data may be limited, but it's still a cool opportunity to understand how this all works and what data is available. So, here you can explore their explorer and get to know the data more. We also have something for their proof station. Uh, Udkosh, I don't think you mentioned this either. Would you like to touch on the proof station briefly?
>> Sure. So these are all the services that we have set up on top of midnight that make midnight really accessible.
Explorer as Jay covered is one of them.
Proof station is a second one. So in midnight you can build lots of applications. Some of those applications can do really cool things and when you uh at times do really cool stuff you need really big circuits. When you run into those situations what often happens is you are not able to compute those circuits easily or natively. So you can offload those computations to a trusted execution environment. That's what we pro provide to our users and our partner under proof station as a service. So you guys can check it out, sign up and then we can get you your own API key. If you need access to the proof station, the proof station also comes with one more beautiful feature we call sponsorship.
So you can get all of your user transactions sponsored by us. What that means is you can go out there, give users an application, they create a wallet, they don't need to have night, they don't need to have dust. They can do their first set of transactions free at no cost. We'll balance them and we'll take care of them and you can just give them and focus on giving them a great experience.
So that's what proof station is about.
>> Awesome. Thank you for sharing that. So by this point in your questing journey, you've created a wallet, you've explored their websites, you are looking at the explorer. Now it's time to start building. So with this next uh learning module, what you'll be able to do is use their noode builder to start springing up your first application with your contracts, have them compile, and I tested this uh while we were prepping for this and I was able to even deploy a UI and see my UI and interact with it.
So it's an awesome experience. And when you're going through that, you'll have the option to actually share uh the DAP that you're working on. So there's going to be a link when you're going through uh the Midnight building platform and then at the very bottom you'll be able to share that link with us and that's the link that we're requesting here that will allow us to open up your project and then actually see it within our browser. So once you have your uh no code builder, you've tested things out, we would love to give you additional points for any DAPs that are being deployed that actually utilize any of 1 a.m.'s uh stack. So whether that's the wallet, proof station, no code builder, whatever that may be, we'd love to see a DAP come out of this that utilizes 1AM's tech. And I'm sure many of you are far along this process because I've already seen a lot of you implement some of the wallets in your projects. So this could be an easy one for many of you if you've already started working on projects and you want to submit it. So take a look at this one. And then lastly, uh I don't think you've mentioned this either, but would you like to touch on your uh DAP listing platform?
>> Totally. Totally. So we have two kinds of app stores. One of them is the wipe store. So w store is meant for applications that we just wipe code out of thinner on our build platform. So you can come up with an idea, you can explain it to the platform and when you hit share, it also goes live on our wipe store. On our app store side of things, we are working in a more traditional manner. So we have a simple git repo. If you give it to your agent, if you just clone it, I'll just quickly get a link so Sophie and the team can uh put it in the chat here. Uh just one second. And goal would be that you just raise a pull request at the end of the day here. It's a simple JSON list of different apps that you can just add to by raising your pull request and that would make it easily accessible for uh everyone to basically discover your app. And all our app store pages, they basically consume data from uh this particular uh URL. And what you're able to do is just raise a PR and you can have it out there uh for everyone to use. So I I shared the link with Sophie. It should be up on the stream in no time. And we can also put it on the chat. So the app registry is where you go at. It's a GitHub repo and you can easily erase a PR and get your app listed. It takes about 2 to three days for us to go through your app, do a bit of due diligence, making sure that it's in good standing, it connects to the wallet, implement some of the best practices, and we're trying to improve this uh due diligence setup as well. But that's your that's your go-to place for submitting your app.
>> Amazing. Thanks for sharing that. I thought it was awesome when I discovered it on my own and I was like, "Oh, wow.
There's already a lot of stuff here I can play around with." So, just exploring that section is going to be fun for you all. Um, so I want to thank you Kash. Um, as you've seen today, we have a new partner module with 1 am. You can find it along your quest. It has its own separate section where you can find each one of these quests individually.
You can start contributing and start getting some points and you have about two weeks. So this sprint will go for the next two weeks. We'll do the same thing that we did with midnames where the top three uh people participating will win a prize. And would you like to discuss those prize options a little bit more in detail?
>> Sure. Sure. So I would say uh the prices are uh early access passes. So early access passes are going to be specialized access we'll be giving to your midnight 1 a.m. wallets. I really wanted to finalize the demo but I wasn't able to but you just keep an eye out on our Twitter. If you are not follow us already on 1 a.m.xyz on Twitter and we will be sharing those very quickly. The early access pass basically gives you access to the chat feature we spoke about. So you can go to your friends who also have this early access pass and chat with them or chat with some of us uh using a quantum resistant peer-to-peer chat that we're building right inside 1:00 a.m. We have a Twitter alternative we call ZK social.
So you can imagine Twitter on midnight.
It's a very early experience. We have it labeled as experimental for now because we might or might not support it to the production version, but we want to see how the community responds to it. how much adoption do we get and what is the response overall and then we can decide on those standings but you get early access to that and you get access to the customizable theme engine. So right now in the 1 a.m. wallet you can customize theme up to a certain degree but they're very limited and on the mobile side you just have access to the standard themes.
You don't have access to themes that you just want to create and customize on your own. So that's what we'll be giving you access in this early access feature and you'll be getting it one month before everybody else.
>> Love it. Love it. I love it because it's super simple. It's, you know, to have a custom experience, but I haven't seen any other other wallets really touch on this or even explore this. So I think it's a nice thing for you to kind of almost flex on other people, right? Like I have a custom wallet. You guys don't have this. uh we always we always like to like work with our partners, highlight our partners best way possible. So that was the how do you say initial spirit of it and then we just took on and kept adding more and more uh to this. Uh if I can share my screen, I can share a window quickly just to give you guys a gist of the theme options that are available uh inside of 1. Uh let me see if I can do that uh entire screen. Let me just share my entire screen.
I don't know if this is going to work.
Hope doesn't give you like super parallax view. Do you guys see my screen?
>> We can see it.
>> Awesome. Awesome. So, when you go to your 1 a.m. mobile app, this is the version I have on my uh simulator.
You'll have a display section. You have theme presets here. So, right now, this is limited to light and dark mode. We have extended this a bit. So, we want to shout out to our partners, people who are building hard in the ecosystem. So, shout out to Ascent. We have an ascent theme here. You can just save it and use it and it's all dark. Uh you can decide to use a different theme. We have a not star theme. You can save it and use that. And now the app has a notar vibe and so for like so with every partner that we are working on. Even pulse and galaxy swap they have their own theme.
So you get that level of customization.
If you don't want to use a partner theme, you can use a standard theme with your just taste and color. I like light mode with orange. That's my favorite flavor. But you're going to have a custom theme engine here. So, you'll be able to customize your own themes, choose your own icons, lay it out your own way, and you'll be the first to get access to that in the community. And that's going to be part of the early access pass that's coming up uh from 1 a.m. for the >> Amazing.
>> This is so cool. I uh I am considering if I should make another name or something to compete, but this is really cool. Thank you for sharing this all with us. I'm super excited to kick off this sprint and I'm sharing my screen for anyone who hasn't seen the leaderboards. Um, what you can do is as you're completing these quests, you're getting these points, you'll end up on this leaderboard right here. So, we haven't had anyone submit yet, but as soon as you start submitting uh your information, start submitting your quest, you'll get onto this leaderboard, similar to the last one, and the top three will qualify for the prizes. So, you can see there's a countdown clock.
It tells you exactly when it ends. Then we have a week of review and then we choose the winners from there based on the top three. Uh so that's all I have to share with you today with the partner quest. Uh anything else you would like to mention?
>> Uh nothing else other than that we're just pushing out a lot of tools within the ecosystem just to make it easy for you guys to get up and running with this. Uh one other tool I didn't get time to touch on but would quickly highlight is the cla1.xyz.
Uh I think we have a URL QR code that we can show here. So this is the CLI app that we built out. It has about a 100 weekly downloads and growing ops. So like thank you so much for all this organic love and adoption. And if you haven't uh really give it a go. It makes your agent really a midnight pro. Gives them compilers and other tools that have access to basically the whole development life cycle and also wallet in case they just want to test and transact your contract in the wild. So worth worth checking out and uh really gives you a new paradigm to access Midnight. And other than that, uh, if you're just a builder coming up randomly to the space and just listening, really build on Midnight. Midnight's like one of the best places to build out and create the most amount of impact for this future that we really want to have where public private data can exist on the chain in a permission manner. Funny and complicated way to prove it, but uh, a more generic way would be like where you have more control over your data, more choices over your data, and you're more empowered as a user. So that's the future we want to create in. And if you want to be a part of that, like building midnight is the best place to do that.
So I just want to leave with that message.
>> Thank you for the shout out. U I just see a question on the side here that says uh my concern is about safety. Is the 1 a.m. safe and who do we contact um if tokens get taken? It looks like they're talking about mainet. Um I'm not sure.
>> So we are going through multiple security audits as we speak. We have woked up the architecture from the ground up to be extremely secure. We made it with best principles that are being followed by other industry leaders uh like Metamas, Phantoms and others within the open source and the closed source ecosystem. So you will get the state-of-the-art security with that. But to make it even more uh I would say easier to understand. We're working with multi multiple auditing partners. So it creates a layer of trust for everybody else coming into the ecosystem so that they can easily trust 1 a.m. with their funds and with their money and you're able to feel secure when you have your private keys in there. So yeah, definitely that's uh that's a big paramount for us and we're working hard in that direction every day as we speak.
>> Guys, thank you for that info. And if you have any more questions for Ukash, he's in our dev chat channel. We're always hanging out in the Discord, so you can just hop in there, send a message. Um >> his username is Bubbles, so if you want to reach out to Utkash, he's in our chats.
>> Awesome. Hey Stev, it's good to see you back.
Hey guys, what's up? I'm I'm uh just in installing on the M wallet.
>> Let's go.
>> Let's go, dude.
>> Amazing.
>> Um >> yeah, I played with it before where um because at at Consensus there's a lot of people installing 1 a.m. wallet and um Yeah. No, it's awesome. It's on it's on Android, so that's that's what and I love that.
>> Yeah, we we love Android.
>> Yeah, dude. Um cool. Well, no, that's that's that's really awesome. So um cool. I guess we shall talk about the sixsecond miracle now.
>> Um so let me get my window shared.
Share window.
Okay. So, I'm just sharing a window and um can you guys see the window? I'm on I'm on one screen, so I'm not actually going to see you guys.
That looks like it's working. All right, so we're in slideshow mode.
All right, I'm guessing you see the slide slide well because I won't see myself. Um, so anyways, we're going to talk about the um here. There we go. We're going to talk about the sixsecond miracle. So, this is um kind of a fun title just to talk a little bit about infrastructure uh federated node ops and um you know kind of like what what it takes to keep the midnight network running. And those of you who uh are not aware, every six seconds you see a mainet midnight block.
So um and there's um a lot involved to to make sure that that happens. Um and if you and if your block if if block production is longer than 6 seconds, we have a problem. So let me know if you do see that. Otherwise, the target um uh block per second is 6 seconds.
Now, um explained explained a lot of this in um in consensus last week. A lot of people were super intrigued about u midnight, especially in relation to Cardano.
Um but Midnight, and many of you watching this already know this, um and if this is new to you, um glad I'm happy to explain, but Midnight is a Cardano partner chain, right? So, um, a lot of people will be like, "Hey, is, you know, Midnight's it own chain or it's Midnight's a Cardono project? Uh, is it a L1 is an L2?" I like to joke around and call it an L1.5.
Um, it's just that's just this is my my uh my my little joke there. But, um, Mate's a Cardano partner chain. So it runs in parallel with Cardano and it follows Cardano for um for a variety of reasons. I'm going to focus more on the infrastructure point of it.
But for example um it follows it follows UTXOs for dust dust generation and follows the partner chain the uh partner chain smart contracts which contain the block producer committees and um produces those um those blocks. So Midnight does not operate without so if Cardano doesn't see a block, Midnight doesn't see a block. They run both in parallel and uh Midnight's a Cardano partner chain borrows the security from Cardano um because um Cardano is very you know arguably one of the most um resil resilient proof ofstake um blockchains out there. So Midnight Midnight is is is um is using Cardano for that security.
Now let's go on to something else. So, Midnight has several public environments. Some of you have used these before. Some of you maybe this is new to you, but a lot of people were asking us um especially um last week at Consensus is um hey, you guys have a test net? Oh, I've tried the test net.
Well, there's different test nets and there's only one mainet. So, there's midnight preview, which is u mainly for experimental features. We have midnight pre-pro, which prepro's just short for pre-production. So this is this is the environment that mirrors mainet. So when you're developing applications, you definitely want to deploy uh on pre-prod to to test that pre-production experience. And finally, we have the midnight mainet, which is the official midnight mainet. Um and something to note is midnight preview.
Um, this used to actually be testnet uh 02 last year and we we're just shy of 300 state pool uh cordono staple operators that are helping maintain this environment. But then this but as we're getting closer to the mainet launch um we had to pivot that strategy to um have preview is basically um preview is basically maintained by the ecore engineering team and that allowed them to do a lot of um test iterations and rapid deployments that helped us get to mainet launch um um the way we did in Q1.
So preview is still in that. So preview is still in that state maintained by the core engineering at the moment and midnight prepro is actually a federated uh test net. Um so one of the dependencies for the federated mainet was federated test net. So in the beginning of the year um we transitioned the uh pre-prod testing environment um to a um federated uh federated network with all the uh all the uh federated node operators and um that was one of the dependencies to um then launch the um federated mainet and it's important to note here is that um you'll see I have it in italics here is each midnight environment is a partner chain to its respective Cardano environment. So um unless you're using someone else's uh midnight testing environment or deployment, there's uh Midnight Preview is a partner chain to Cardano preview. Midnight Prepro is a partner chain to Cardano prepro and midnight mainet is a partner chain to Cardano mainet. And um we chose this we um we chose this environment strategy just to have some par uh some familiarity with how Card Cardano does the upgrade process. So when Midnight does upgrades things will go from preview prepro mainet and um also since Midnight's a partner chain it kind of removes the ambiguity of like hey what's the Cardano respective Cardano environment. So it's like okay midnight pre-proud I know that's a partner chain too. Cornado pre-prod. Um, just a little bit of context there.
And also want to shout out to everyone that's contributing to the 6second miracle. Um, so, um, I have these in in, um, just alphabetical order, but I want to say shout out to Alpha Compute, uh, formerly Alpha Ton Capital, Bitco, Block Demon, Bullish, Etero, Google, uh, Keratage, The Foundation, of course, um, Shielded Technologies, which is our fantastic core engineering um, partners, um, Stakefi, formerly BCW, uh, Twin Stake, Vodafone, World Pay, and there's a lot of other people that all want to maintain the federated network and um there and and um and yeah, these are all the people that really contributed to bringing you uh Midnight Live. So, and it was quite an interesting journey and and people think like uh and um we and people don't realize that we do a lot of things together. So, these are all like we actually have to do a lot of stuff.
So even yesterday we uh we collectively went on a call and we're like hey we're we we all collectively went on a call. There's a specific validator channel for us in Discord. Um sometimes we have it's not in the main stage. We have our own stage there but we and collectively migrated u the pre-prod test net to a guarded overlay for and with with has with that which has unrestricted um unrestricted deployment um for unrest it has no restrictions unlike mainet which is currently still in a guarded phase but um I want to shout out to all these partners because we did that migration and nobody noticed which means we done it right and we were able to maintain uptime and do this migration without interrupting any of the develop velopers building on pre-prod. So, um we're trying to and and there and there was a lot of lessons learned in the beginning of the year when we're uh launching things and um I'm really excited to work with all these partners because um um there's a lot to learn from each other.
Um there's a lot and there's a lot of um some of them are new to Cardano and Midnight. So, it's a pleasure to on board all these folks to to Cardano and Midnight and um yeah and they're part of the ecosystem now. So, I want just want to shout out to um all the FNOS's here and as far as a infrastructure overview um a lot has actually changed. So if you're familiar with operating on midnight preview um last year or even test net 02 last year you know a lot of things have changed. So you notice in this diagram there's no Agnio here.
There's no partner chain CLI. Um a lot of things have experience in the partner chain stack uh in general. And even back then we used to use a lot of Docker stuff. Um and we really pivoted to a um binary first or source distribution method and then a lot of our partners were able to take that and um you know do their superersets of docker, kubernetes, elm charts uh anible etc. So then um so yeah so um in a brief overview we have the Cardano node um that synchronizes the Cardano blockchain and then you have your Cardano DB sync.
This is simply just an indexer.
And then you also have Postgress SQL which indexes um the um Cardano database into a more it's a just a regular uh post P postgress database that the midnight node can read easily um and you have the midnight node which reads from Postgress. So this is basically how the midnight node follows Cardano. And when we go back into so this is kind of like the infrastructure overview and it kind of relates to this diagram where you have midnight and Cardano running in parallel. So how does that really happen? It's basically this is how that happens. Um and there's to go into to go into more detail I'd probably need like two hours or so. Um, but we're also going to be working with um some of our some of our some of our lovely partners to um help onboard some some new folks or even existing SPOS if you guys want to participate um or get caught up to speed and how the midnight validators are operating now, how midnight nodes are midnight nodes are working, what's changed and that's why I would like to invite you all to subscribe be to the digest because we have uh I'm brewing a midnight node validator workshop and you guys might hear some background noise.
>> All right, see you later, dude. Close the door, bud. All right, that's my son.
He he heard me talk about the midnight validator workshop and he wanted in. So, um, so anyways, uh, I want want to encourage you guys all to subscribe to the validator digest because I'm going to be sending a email out there to invite anybody who wants to participate and, uh, we'll be able to get a headcount because I want some, uh, because, um, I'm going to try because if you don't have infrastructure, I think we'll there'll be a way for us to solve that. And, um, and yeah, I think we'll have a fun time. But, I like to do this maybe raw, maybe like a raw workshop in Discord because I want it to be engaging. I don't want it to just be a stream. I want people to ask questions u while we go and check in how people are doing. Um might be a really fun hands-on um two-hour workshop or so. And um yeah, so please subscribe to that. And that's all I got for you guys today, but um um yeah, I think this workshop will be uh in the next few weeks or so. And um and yeah, I'll have a lot of fun with you all.
So, I'm going to stop sharing my screen.
Cool. All right. Well, anyways, I want to thank um Jay and Oh, you guys uh I guess do we have any comments and questions?
Let me open the chat here. I wasn't able to see the chat I was as I was presenting. So let's see what's going on.
because I don't see any uh messages in the YouTube or I don't see any questions the YouTube chat.
Um can we move our tokens in there like at night? Um oh someone's asking the form asked for pool tech and ID. So this is the only existing for SPOS, right? Yeah, that's for SPOS's. Um um yeah, that is for SPOS's. Um but feel but we're also going to push an announcement through notify and I can give you that link, too.
Actually, I don't have that link yet.
I'll put a link I'll put I'll put an announcement in the Discord announcements for other people to get it. But um yeah, if you don't have an SPO, I don't think it's mand mandatory field. And if it is, I can change that.
But um yeah, please u feel free to subscribe there.
All right. Stephanie asked, "Can we uh possibly get the notion updates dropped into the blog producing channel?" Um yeah, we can do that. Actually, the um those notion updates are all public actually. So, um but we're moving that to GitHub, so I'd rather not share the notion um page that some of you have been watching. Um but if you go to the Midnight Networks Notify um let me see here. Let me get the link for you guys. So, there is a notify announcement link as well. So, you can follow everything that the FNOS's get.
I'm going to paste it in the private chat here. Maybe we could put it on the screen. But if you um go to the midnight notify um page, you can also subscribe to the midnight mainet midnight mainet validators list. That's where I push all those uh all those announcements you might have seen in notion.
Another question. What's the recommended pattern for custodial wallets for users who have no crypto experience?
I'm not sure what pattern you're you're referring to. I'm sorry. I don't have enough context there.
Oh, so someone uh stuff asked, can you explain a little bit about wire guard?
So, um the guarded overlay kind of works where you have um all the midnight FNOS's all the validator nodes basically um talk together within their own network. So we have the midnight network and then those nodes have basically an overlay network that they participate in. So this protects them from any malicious attackers um which ensures that our the you know we have very um you know the federation's not hundreds of nodes. So um every node's really important. So that's why we have the guarded overlay.
So these nodes kind of they're they operate they they they operate the midnight network but they talk to each other and only interact with other nodes within this overlay. So able to provide the midnight network but also the validators are uh far more resilient to um to attackers.
Alex says the notify web is not compatible with 1 a.m. wallet. Not yet, we got to fix that.
Cool. Well, unless there's any other questions, um, I want to thank everyone for your time and happy Wednesday.
