The 2026 Annual Plant Moran Study reveals that for the first time in 26 years, all six major automakers (Toyota, Honda, GM, Nissan, Ford, and Stellantis) have simultaneously improved their supplier trust scores, with Toyota leading at 409 points and Ford showing the largest single jump of 32 points; this unprecedented improvement in supplier relationships indicates better supply forecasting, which will lead to improved market supply, more stable jobs, and increased inventory availability for serving consumers more efficiently.

Big News for Car Dealers in 2026追加:
What's going on everybody? David Feldman-MacRae's here and you know, a little bit of a different scene, but we're going to provide some automotive value nevertheless. So, I was absorbing some of the automotive news this morning and a recurring headline I've seen the past couple days is about automotive production and it's actually a positive thing for once. So, I'm going to describe to you what this is and how it may start to impact automotive the automotive market as a whole based on production. So, check this out. Um the annual plant Moran study grading how much part suppliers trust automakers, right? The big news is for the first time in 26 years that all six major automakers have improved simultaneously.
So, um what this essentially is, it's how these automakers essentially um have relationships with their suppliers, right? And for all of them to improve at once is a pretty big deal.
So, here's some of the hard stats broken down by manufacturer.
Toyota came in first place with 409 points.
Um they crossed the the 400 threshold.
Uh looks like Honda 360 points, highest score since 2007.
GM had 318 points, highest score ever.
Nissan had 255 points. Ford had 223 points, it's the biggest single jump up 32 points. Stellantis had 163 points, up 22 but still dead last. But, here's the thing, the impact on production, right?
The impact on production um just signifies trust and especially with all the different things about, you know, microchips, material shortages, and all those constant obstacles, this actually shows pretty good supply forecast. And when there's a pretty good supply forecast, a lot of good things happen.
Right? A lot of good things happen like you know, um betterment of market supply, more stable jobs, more stability, and for the automotive market, that means it'll be more inventory so we can serve the public in a more streamlined way. So, I'm very encouraged. I'm very encouraged by this news. I think this is going to tie in greatly to inventory base campaigns that we run, and I'm super excited to share this with you guys.
And uh just looking forward to more good news, all right? So, you heard it here first. If you haven't already, OEMs have better supplier trust. That's going to help everything. Hope your day goes well. See you in the next one.
