The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors is currently meeting in closed session, but I had to step aside real quick talk about the breaking news that we just posted over on X. We have learned that following the unanimous approval of Hokie Ventures, the new organizational business model for the athletic department, Virginia Tech is expected to announce its biggest university gift ever. This is going to be an anonymous donation to keep the focus on the future of Virginia Tech athletics, but obviously a major investment in football and the broader athletic department.
