The probability of at least one event occurring can be calculated using the complement rule: P(at least one) = 1 - P(none), where you subtract the probability of the event not occurring at all from 1; for example, when rolling two six-sided dice, the probability of rolling at least one 3 is 1 minus the probability of rolling no 3s on either die, which equals 1 - (5/6 × 5/6) = 11/36.
