Robert and Claude (an AI agent) Redecorate the Cabin!
Added:All right, so we redecorated. This is the second part. I'm going to show you the first part. Robert put this entire thing together by himself.

>> [laughter] >> Or something close to that.
>> Here's the second part of our redecorating. So, you may remember, if you've been following me, that I found this at a garage sale for like $100. And when I went back to pick it up, it had been sold, and I was very appointed.
Come to find out Mr. Hubble had gone and bought it for me as a surprise. So, it's been at our home in Encino for 2 years because we couldn't figure out how to get it up here. And now I give Robert 100% of the credit because he figured out how to wrap it, get it in the truck, drive it up here, get it in the house, which we know we have a lot of steps up to our cabin.
So, it is a beautiful sort of China cabinet secretary. So, we're going to put um shelves in here, so it's going to be a bookcase.
And then this here is a little secretary, as you can see.
Do you love it? And this is all little drawers. So, this is its forever home.
It was in the backyard of a hoarder's house in Encino, and here it is now here. So, I'm just so happy, but I just am so grateful to Robert because he literally did all of this by himself.
So, we're down home in our um Encino abode.
And I just wanted to just, you know, give you a little more detail about how brilliant my husband is in terms of getting that very special cabinet up to the mountains. I showed you a picture of it, but you cannot believe the work he did to get it up to the cabin.
>> All right. Hi, everyone. So, um this was a very fragile and very heavy cabinet. So, I spent >> How many pounds would you say?
>> Probably about 125 lb. Um and it was tall and awkward and the the front was rounded glass of maybe 4 ft by 2 ft. So, it was very fragile.
Get it all wrapped up. And then, as I do with many things that involve geometry, I asked Claude, the AI agent, by the way, named after Claude Shannon, one of the most brilliant mathematicians of all time.
Uh Claude, the AI agent, to help me figure out the math because my pickup truck bed was not large enough to hold the china cabinet with the tailgate up.
Um so, I knew there was geometry. I knew there was math. I didn't get the math gene. So, I thought, "Well, okay. I'll ask Claude."
And for those of you who use Claude, I was using Fable 5, which is the most recent, most powerful iteration of Claude.
So, the first thing I said is, "All right. I could just lay it down and open the tailgate.
How much will it overhang? How much free, you know, tailgate space will I have so that I would know, you know, how I would strap it down." So, Claude gives me this brilliant diagram, which is nothing. It's just the length of the cabinet laying in the back of the bed.
Okay. No problem.
So, then I say to Claude, "Okay. Now, option B, and this is where I need your help, is I'm going to put it in the the the bed of the truck.
It's going to overhang the tailgate.
And I need to know how much it's going to overhang so that I'll see whether my vision is impaired out the the back window or anything. And so it draws me this. And let me just explain what it's done is it has the cabinet intruding into the cab of the truck like piercing a wall of the cab of the truck.
>> [clears throat] >> Which makes no sense. It's a physical impossibility.
So, I have >> did you say to Claude?
>> I had a few choice words with Claude and I pointed out that it was a physical impossibility for the cabinet to pierce the cab and that it needed to redraw it so that the end of the China cabinet was resting on the tailgate.
Now, anybody who's ever owned a pickup truck knows you put one end down against the cab on the bed floor and one end up over the tailgate.
Well, this is what Claude drew in response to that request.
>> [laughter] >> Which has one end on the tailgate and the other end >> [laughter] >> hanging in the air up against the cab.
So, at this point I may have lost my patience with Claude. [laughter] And I said who boy, this is why robots are never going to rule the world.
I said anyone who owns a pickup truck knows that you put the end down in the bed against the cab and the other end up here.
And so it finally drew this picture which is the correct picture.
>> did it say to you?
>> Well, what it said to me is we'll never know whether they're going to take over the world >> [laughter] >> and this might all just be a plot.
>> Did it really say that?
>> Something to that effect. What it said is well, I've never driven a pickup truck, but sooner or later I'm going to know it means to drive a pickup truck.
So >> Interesting.
>> Um and then it said for now you can defeat us by giving us a couch and a stairway.
>> [laughter] >> Um this is what it said. So they're not as smart as they're cracked up to be because as I say anybody who's ever driven a pickup truck and hauled a sofa could have arrived at the correct version without going through these ludicrous I mean who would do that? This is like a levitating and then this is piercing the cab. So that's how smart AI is at this point. They may take over the world but they're not there yet.
>> [laughter] >> Thank you Mr. Hubble. Very instructive.
